    Marketing Manager

    Job Summary

    • We’re now preparing for our public launch and are looking for a Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market execution, drive growth, and help shape the UrbanWish brand.

    Role Overview

    • As Marketing Manager, you will own UrbanWish’s marketing strategy and execution across customer acquisition, brand awareness, provider acquisition support, and revenue growth.
    • This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, can balance strategy with execution, and understands how to grow a two-sided marketplace.
    • You will work closely with the CEO, product, sales/provider acquisition team, and external agencies to ensure UrbanWish launches strong and scales efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities
    Go-to-Market & Growth:

    • Plan and execute UrbanWish’s launch marketing strategy for Lagos and Abuja.
    • Drive user acquisition through paid ads, SEO, influencer partnerships, and content.
    • Support provider acquisition campaigns in collaboration with sales reps and partners.
    • Continuously test, measure, and optimize acquisition funnels to improve CAC and conversion.

    Performance & Digital Marketing:

    • Manage paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Instagram/Facebook), TikTok, and other relevant channels.
    • Own SEO and content strategy to grow organic traffic.
    • Track performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, CAC, LTV, bookings, revenue).
    • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights.

    Brand & Content:

    • Build and maintain a strong, consistent UrbanWish brand voice across all touchpoints.
    • Oversee creation of marketing assets: landing pages, email campaigns, flyers, videos, and social content.
    • Coordinate influencer partnerships and creator campaigns tailored to Nigerian audiences.
    • Ensure messaging clearly communicates UrbanWish’s value to both users and service providers.

    CRM, Email & Retention:

    • Manage newsletter campaigns for users, providers, and investors.
    • Set up lifecycle marketing (onboarding, reminders, re-engagement, referrals).
    • Collaborate with the product team to improve retention, repeat bookings, and reviews.

    Collaboration & Leadership:

    • Work closely with product and engineering teams to align marketing with feature rollouts.
    • Manage external partners (creative agencies, influencers, PR, media buyers).
    • Help build and scale an in-house marketing team as UrbanWish grows.

    What We’re Looking For
    Required:

    • 2–5 years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or brand marketing.
    • Experience working in startups, marketplaces, fintech, travel, or consumer internet businesses.
    • Strong understanding of performance marketing, funnels, and analytics.
    • Proven experience executing campaigns in Nigeria or similar emerging markets.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience marketing a two-sided marketplace.
    • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar.
    • Experience working with influencers and creators.
    • Early-stage startup or launch experience.

    Sales Representative

    Role Overview

    • We are hiring a Sales Representative to lead service provider acquisition and onboarding for UrbanWish.
    • You will be responsible for identifying potential partners, pitching the UrbanWish value proposition, onboarding businesses onto the platform, and ensuring their listings are verified and optimized for growth.
    • This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys field sales, relationship building, and working in a fast-paced startup environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    Service Provider Acquisition:

    • Identify, prospect, and engage service providers across UrbanWish categories
    • Pitch UrbanWish’s value proposition clearly and persuasively
    • Convert leads into active service providers on the platform

    Onboarding & Listing Optimization:

    • Support providers in creating business profiles and service listings
    • Ensure accurate pricing, images, descriptions, availability, and location details
    • Guide providers through document verification and onboarding requirements

    Relationship Management:

    • Act as a trusted point of contact for onboarded service providers
    • Educate providers on best practices to maximize bookings and visibility
    • Gather feedback from providers and share insights with the internal team

    Performance & Reporting:

    • Track onboarding progress and sales targets
    • Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions, and active providers
    • Contribute to weekly progress updates and field insights

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate well on cross-functional projects and initiatives
    • Support launch campaigns and city and/or category expansion

    What We’re Looking For
    Required:

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification
    • 1–3+ years experience in sales, business development, or field marketing
    • Strong communication and persuasion skills
    • Comfortable with in-person outreach and follow-ups
    • Ability to explain digital products to non-technical business owners
    • Self-motivated, organized, and target-driven

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience selling to SMEs, salons, gyms, hotels, or service businesses
    • Familiarity with online marketplaces, booking platforms, or SaaS tools
    • Experience working in service based businesses.
