    Logistics Director

    Objective

    • Transform and lead the company's supply chain, driving strategic planning, management, and optimization of goods movement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution to deliver products timely, cost-effectively, and in alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
    • End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Manage the entire supply chain flow, from procurement to last-mile delivery, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
    • Operational Efficiency: Drive initiatives to shorten lead times, improve service, and ensure operational stability, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Technology Integration: Select and implement logistics management systems to drive performance, improve efficiency, and enhance visibility.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement long-term logistics strategies that align with company objectives, driving business growth and operational excellence.
    • Oversee daily logistics operations, including fleet management, warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and fulfillment, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of coal and minerals to customers.
    • Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing logistics teams, from supervisors to daily operators, to drive business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
    • Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, reduce expenses, and improve service levels, driving cost savings and operational excellence.
    • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and brokers to secure favorable terms, improve service, and drive business growth.
    • Create and manage logistics budgets and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure transparency and accountability.
    • Work closely with sales, production, finance, and customer service teams to drive business outcomes, improve communication, and enhance customer satisfaction
    • Develop strategies to minimize the environmental footprint of transportation, including tracking fleet fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, and ensuring responsible disposal of operational waste.
    • Establish rigorous safety and service standards for all internal and external carriers (3PLs), ensuring consistent compliance with global best practice safety standards for heavy transport.
    • Implement supply chain due diligence processes to ensure carriers and suppliers adhere to ethical labour practices and governance standards.
    • Ensure adherence to regulations, mitigate supply chain risks, and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering with 10+ years logistics leadership (mining/heavy industry preferred)
    • Strong operational and team management skills
    • Knowledge of fleet management systems

    Manager, HSE & Compliance

    Objective

    • Ensure the organization meets legal standards, protects people and the environment, fosters a strong safety culture, and integrates social performance into operational planning by developing policies, managing risk, and overseeing environmental practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement, and manage HSE policies, strategies, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001/14001) aligned with business goals and legal requirements
    • Ensure that all risk assessments and management systems are periodically reviewed and updated to reflect evolving global best practices in ESG reporting and disclosures.
    • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement controls to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental damage
    • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, manage permits, and report performance to leadership
    • Design and deliver safety training programs, promote a positive safety culture, and advise employees on best practices
    • Lead accident/incident investigations, analyze data, and implement corrective/preventative actions
    • Develop, implement, and drill emergency response plans to ensure preparedness for fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies
    • Develop programs focused on community impact mitigation related to noise, dust, and traffic from mining and logistics operations, working collaboratively with local stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and performance monitoring to track HSE metrics

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in HSE, Law, Engineering, or related field; NEBOSH/ISO certification with 5+ years HSE experience in mining or heavy industry

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian mining and environmental regulations, as well as HSE legislation and standards
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and find effective solutions
    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive change

    Manager, Logistics & Planning

    Objective

    • Manage contract scheduling, customer delivery planning, and performance analytics. Strategically plan, manage, and coordinate the entire flow of product, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance from the mine site to its destination.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and schedule customer deliveries against contracts, coordinating with sales and operations to meet delivery commitments
    • Track logistics performance, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize delivery routes and schedules
    • Negotiate contracts, rates, and service level agreements (SLAs) with external carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers
    • Actively monitor the safety performance of external carriers (3PLs) and ensure that all contractual agreements include enforceable adherence to high safety standards for personnel and equipment.
    • Manage road truck traffic, fleet scheduling, and monitor efficiency parameters to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs
    • Develop and execute logistics strategies to meet production and customer demands, aligning with overall business goals.
    • Track logistics KPIs related to environmental efficiency, such as optimizing delivery routes and schedules to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
    • Work with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, maintenance, sales) to ensure logistics activities support business objectives
    • Analyze data and KPIs to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements
    • Ensure logistics operations adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and legal requirements, and develop contingency plans for potential risks
    • Manage documentation, permits, and records for shipments and compliance
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on route and scheduling efficiency to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing environmental impact.
    • Supervise and train logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and develop staff capabilities
    • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 5+ years in logistics planning (mining/commodities preferred)

    Account Manager

    Objective

    • Provide financial leadership and oversight in internal financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and timely financial reporting to support business decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and the month-end close to ensure accurate financial records and compliance.

    • Manage and mentor accounting staff, developing their skills and expertise to drive team performance and business outcomes

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; ICAN/ACCA required with 5+ years accounting experience; mining sector a plus

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting; MBA/CFA preferred
    • 5+ years FP&A experience; mining sector a plus
    • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
    • Experience with ERP systems and BI tools
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights.
