    Manager - Commercial Bid

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    Responsible for the management of the various elements involved in the submission and response of bids for large RFP or RFQ’s for both internal and external customers. This entails collating responses from sales, solution design, commercial, product as well as support structures like finance, legal, technology etc. He or She will also be responsible for contributing towards the establishment and implementation of a central repository and center of excellence in order to serve as a basis and a foundation towards the standardization of solution offerings. This thereby entails overseeing the sourcing of price books from internal opco’s and external 3rd party suppliers through official RFP/RFQ and or RFI process. Further, the role will develop and define initiatives to assist in strategic positioning of connectivity services to maximize revenues from the groups fixed network capacity and connectivity, as well as other assets including satellite as well as provide bid management support for all proposals issued to customers.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)

    The Manager: Bid Management role will be accountable to achieve the following objectives: 

    • Develop the strategy and operating model in order to support the coordination of inputs from the different business units in order to respond efficiently and effectively to bid requests. 
    • Coordinate inputs from relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding the content of bids including contract management, legal, financial, systems engineering, networks, IT, and product groups.  
    • Lead and initiate the establishment of a rapid task team in order to vet or qualify incoming bids as well as manage the final submissions from a quality and completeness perspective before responding to customers in order to ensure full compliance with the terms of customer RFP / RFI.   
    • Establish and make use of standard templates to manage bids, produce solution designs and bid documents while coordinating inputs from the account teams, systems engineers and commercial/legal/finance teams.     
    • Manage a central repository as well as maintain this regularly in order to ensure the successful conversion of customer specific bids into standardized offerings in order to ensure a quicker call to cash 
    • Ensure clear communication and integration between the different business units following successful bids leading into the post-sales teams such as SLA, technical planning teams as well as postmortems and investigations into unsuccessful bids in order to take away key learnings and areas for improvement 
    • Full integration of quality management processes within the Systems Engineering and their effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.  
    • Provide regular reports and management of dashboards reflecting bid performance based on statistical analysis which can be used as meaningful data and intelligence for sales and supporting teams  
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration between internal and external stakeholders as well as ensure the implementation and adherence of OLA’s between the different functions 
    • Assess the competitor and operator landscape in order to understand the offerings available in the market in an attempt to distinguish, differentiate and position offerings more deliberately and effectively based on price, value and network availability and performance.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

    Education: 

    • Minimum 4-year Academic Degree (Commerce, Engineering or Business Science)  
    • Post graduate qualification MBA/Masters (Commerce, Engineering, Science) preferred  
    • English, French and Arabic (as advantage) 

    Experience: 

    • 5+ years relevant cost modelling and pricing experience in the fixed line international telecommunication industry preferably in carrier business with a good technical understanding as well. 

    Competencies: 

    • Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment 
    • Strong analytical skills to adequately anticipate demand & provide recommendations for decision making 
    • A working knowledge of business practices

    Manager - Business Continuity and Physical Security

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    Support with the implementation of comprehensive second line assurance function and framework for Bayobab  and its Board of Directors. The purpose being to effectively implement robust governance practices, build a sustainable business, and ensure the continued delivery of critical products and services at acceptable levels, during disruptions, major incidents, disasters or crisis events, which may be caused by internal or external events. Manage all risk exposures of an internal or external nature (strategic, operational, compliance, financial, technology, external etc) and ensure existence of effective internal processes and policies in general and specifically in relation to Business Continuity Management & Physical Security across the Bayobab Footprint.  

    The role is responsible for overseeing the establishment of all the Bayobab Group’s business continuity and resilience management system, governance structures, principles, and provides guidance on how Bayobab will develop and implement business continuity and resilience arrangements throughout Bayobab and its Subsidiaries. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Deliverables: 

    • Implement the MTN Group Risk and Compliance Frameworks in Bayobab to effectively manage all risk exposures (opportunity, hazard, uncertainty etc) that pose an internal or external threat (political, economic, financial, market, international) to the business, its people and assets. 
    • Implement the MTN Group Business Resilience Framework in Bayobab  
    • Run and manage Bayobab enterprise-wide business continuity management program, including policies, roles and responsibilities, maturity model, methodologies, strategies, plans, budget (capital and operational), annual agenda, ESG, metrics and program scorecard for all components of the program. 
    • Build a risk-aware culture in the organization by providing ongoing education, appropriate briefing and training to leadership and employees on Risk, compliance, Ethics and Resilience in their respective roles in the implementation and alignment with the Risk and Compliance Frameworks. 
    • Consult and advise business units and technology in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses; in developing appropriate business disruption risk mitigation strategies and controls; and in creating, implementing, exercising and maintaining business continuity management and disaster recovery plans. 
    • Collaboratively work with Governance Champions to enhance overall Business Resilience and crisis management posture of Bayobab and its subsidiaries. 
    • Ensure effective implementation of disaster recovery, business continuity in Bayobab and its subsidiaries. 
    • Design and implement a company-wide business continuity management awareness and education program to ensure that all Bayobab personnel clearly understand their responsibilities before, during and after a business disruption (Incident/ Crisis). 
    • In conjunction with the enterprise risk management function, identify and assess business disruption risks and their impact associated with Bayobab current business practices and strategic plans. 
    • Support management in the drive for automation using appropriate tools technology tools in place. 
    • Facilitate the process for elevating/escalating control risks to more senior levels when appropriate. 
    • Facilitate Governance Committee Meetings and ensure all relevant inputs are considered during engagement. 

    Crisis Management 

    • Lead and manage the organization's response to any business disruption or crisis event, ensuring timely communication, escalation and resolution 
    • Coordinate and facilitate business continuity and crisis management exercises and tests to evaluate the effectiveness and readiness of the organization's response plans. 
    • Manage the execution of all recovery plans when a business disruption occurs. 
    • Managing the recovery and restoration process after a crisis and evaluating the lessons learned and best practices 

    Physical Security 

    • Implement the physical security policies, protocols and procedures to ensure that the employees, assets and other stakeholders remain protected. 
    • Provide guidance and support to senior management and staff on physical security issues. 
    • Coordinate security management with internal and external partners, such as law enforcement, emergency services, or vendors 
    • Conduct security audits, assessments, and investigations to identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities. 

    Ethics 

    • Implement Bayobab Ethics management program in place to ensure that the organisation conducts business in an ethical and socially responsible manner. 
    • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability and transparency across the organization. 
    • Reporting 
    • Quality and timely reporting to Management and stakeholders on Business Resilience activities. 
    • Assist the organisation in the delivery of its overall Risk and Compliance Maturity KPIs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

    Education: 

    • Degree in Business Administration or Technology Management (DBA/ Degree in Risk Management /Degree in Business Continuity or other related disciplines) 
    • International certification in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Compliance, Ethics, Business Continuity, Insurance will be an added advantage 
    • Fluent in English, ( French as advantage).  

    Experience: 

    • Minimum 5 years of Management Experience 
    • Minimum 5 years relevant field  
    • Minimum 5 years in telecommunications industry 
    • Work across diverse cultures and geographies

    Chief Compliance Officer

    Mission:

    • Ensure MoMo Payment Service Bank (MoMo PSB) complies with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Responsible for monitoring and coordinating the implementation of regulatory requirements, including the bank’s AML, CFT, and CPF compliance programs.

    Description:

    • Carry out a regular assessment of the adequacy of the bank’s operational systems and controls to ensure that they continue to comply with laws and regulations.
    • Implement and maintain (as approved by the Board) procedures sufficient to ensure compliance with the bank.
    • Provide guidance on steps that the bank can take to reduce the risk that its systems might be used to further financial crimes.
    • Assess and monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures and procedures put in place and the actions taken to address any deficiencies in the bank’s compliance with all laws and regulations.
    • Advise and assist the relevant persons responsible for carrying out regulated activities to comply with the bank’s compliance procedures.
    • Oversee the independence, autonomy, and effectiveness of the bank’s policies and procedures on whistleblowing, including the procedures for the protection of staff (where the whistle was blown by staff).
    • Receiving and vetting suspicious transaction reports (STRs) from staff, including filing STRs with the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit; filing other regulatory returns with the CBN and other relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities; and rendering NIL reports to the CBN and NFIU, where necessary to ensure compliance.
    • Ensuring that the bank’s compliance program is implemented includes coordinating the training of the board, management, and staff in AML, CFT, and CPF awareness, detection methods, and reporting requirements.
    • Any other responsibilities assigned to the role holder for the effective execution of the bank’s compliance program.
    • Serving as a point of contact for all employees on issues relating to ML, TF, and PF.
    • Participate (where applicable) and ensure compliance reports are submitted timely to relevant governance committees in line with existing regulations.

    Manager - CRM

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

    The CRM Manager will form a part of a highly skilled group of commercial, technical and management experts who are responsible for wholesaling and leveraging Bayobab global fixed / mobile connectivity infrastructure, within the MTN Group and developing the external business for 3rd party carrier providers.   

    The role will overview the CRM Management needs of Bayobab. The Manager will cater to internal customers (MTN Group OpCos) and external customers (3rd parties, e.g. global carriers, ISPs, MNOs and digital players) when it comes to the fulfilment of orders. The role will develop and define initiatives to assist in strategic positioning of connectivity services to maximise revenues from MTN Group’s fixed / mobile network capacity and connectivity, as well as other assets (e.g. satellite).  

    The Manager will lead Bayobab CRM platform, the main tool for the following teams: sales, pre-sales, commercial, provisioning. Legal & Finance teams also support the sales activities. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)

    The Manager: CRM and Digital will be accountable for the following: 

    • Assist the Sales Teams to drive the global wholesale business to capture incremental revenue both internally (from OpCos) and externally (from 3rd party customers)  
    • Manage the customer relationship throughout the sales lifecycle while adhering to the wholesale strategic guidelines to sell fixed infrastructure for global 3rd party customers, such as digital players and global carriers 
    • Ensure on-time implementation and delivery of systems around the CRM platform and customer corridor (call-to-cash processes) 
    • Measure full customer satisfaction over the wholesale sales/delivery process 
    • Tailor and customize the pipeline tool/CRM to effectively manage and report on opportunities from inception to delivery and implementation 
    • Responsible for CRM plan & road map   
    • Develop a connected internal data source to provide a user-friendly reporting system with visual reporting and can present activities in progress 
    • Enrich internal data with external data sources  
    • Ensure digital tools are flexible, future-proof and developed based on the Bayobab operating model and processes  
    • Simplify, improve and reduce time to market (cash-to-call) 
    • Ensure automation with external parties (when necessary) 
    • Act as CRM Evangelist within Bayobab (with ambassadors) to engage colleagues with CRM best practices (e.g. capturing all customer interactions) 
    • Work on business cases for both internal and external sales forecasts to assist in forecasting revenues and demand for Bayobab services 
    • Grow product demand via innovative combination of GTM strategies, pricing, financing and services 
    • Manage performance of the wholesale activities and provide it as input to consolidated reports 

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
