    Maintenance Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our hotel team in Benin City. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in hotel facility maintenance, possess great attention to detail, and be capable of ensuring all hotel equipment, rooms, and public areas are functioning at optimal standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out daily routine maintenance and inspections across guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC issues.
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies from guests and staff.
    • Ensure all equipment and systems (generators, water pumps, AC units, lighting, etc.) are working efficiently.
    • Maintain an updated record of maintenance activities and repairs.
    • Supervise external technicians or contractors when necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and health standards within the hotel.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and prolong equipment life span.
    • Assist in overseeing the general upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel surroundings.
    • Report major maintenance issues to management and recommend solutions.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • 2–5 years proven experience as a Maintenance Officer or Technician in the hospitality/hotel industry.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general repairs.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and carry out basic mechanical and technical tasks.
    • Good understanding of safety regulations and building standards.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Good communication skills and professional attitude.
    • Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • OND, Technical Certification, or Trade Test in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.

    Work Schedule:

    • Full-time
    • Must be available for shift duties, weekends, and emergencies when required.

    Salary

    • N150,000 – N200,000 monthly.

    Marine Electrical / Electronics Engineer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Electrical/Electronics Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems on marine vessels and offshore equipment.
    • The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in marine electrical systems, automation, navigation equipment, and instrumentation within the marine industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, and repair marine electrical and electronic systems on vessels, barges, and offshore platforms.
    • Troubleshoot electrical faults, instrumentation issues, and control system failures.
    • Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure operational reliability.
    • Maintain and repair navigation and communication systems (e.g., radar, GPS, AIS, echo sounders, VHF radio, autopilot).
    • Ensure proper functioning of power distribution systems, switchboards, generators, transformers, and battery systems.
    • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all electrical/electronic equipment.
    • Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for audits and compliance.
    • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, marine standards, and classification society requirements.
    • Assist with electrical system upgrades, installations, commissioning, and equipment integration.
    • Collaborate with marine engineers, technicians, and operations teams on vessel readiness and performance.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
    • 3–7 years relevant experience in the marine or offshore industry is required.
    • Strong technical knowledge of marine electrical systems, automation, and instrumentation.
    • Hands-on experience with navigation and communication equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
    • Familiarity with safety standards such as SOLAS, IMO regulations, and classification society rules (ABS, Lloyd’s, DNV, etc.).
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
    • Ability to work offshore or onboard vessels when required.

    Salary Range
    N500,000 – N600,000 Monthly.
