    Learning Manager

    Job Objective(s)

    • The Learning Manager is responsible for executing enterprise-wide learning initiatives across their designated region/directorates, coordinating efforts with HRBPs and business leadership.
    • He/She also collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify learning needs within the specialized schools, determine strategies, and execute learning solutions that meet those needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Designs and develops training solutions based on analysis of learning objectives, audience, content complexity, and applicable modality(ies).
    • Continually drives their own professional development, maintaining knowledge of best practices and new trends in the Learning & Development industry, and sharing that knowledge with the UBA Academy team, faculty, and other stakeholders.
    • Recommends learning activities for staff based on career aspirations and identified development needs.
    • Creates and assists in skill evaluation and assessments of capabilities as needed.
    • Partners with business leadership across specialized schools and faculties to identify and analyze training needs and create an execution plan for addressing identified needs.
    • Evaluates learning materials developed for the business to ensure the appropriate learning objectives and needs are met by the content and delivery modality.
    • Coordinates implementation of training with business leadership, SMEs, and team members.
    • Facilitates training programs to include, but are not limited to, train-the-trainer programs, staff development programs, and function-specific training.
    • Conducts, monitors, and evaluates training programs, providing recommendations for improvements.
    • Organizes and prepares metrics, reports, and dashboards for the impact of learning activities.
    • Acts as a local resource for monitoring and tracking programs, using the business intelligence platforms as a single source of learner records.
    • Assists in identifying performance measures and evaluation criteria for training programs.
    • Ensures training is updated based upon changes to the business, standard operating procedures, and new or upgraded tools, processes, and equipment.
    • Support Group-wide Learning Transformation initiatives and projects.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree in any relevant field.
    • Additional qualification (M.Sc./MBA) is an added advantage.
    • Accreditation as a ‘Certified Trainer’.
    • Member of an HR Professional body e.g. CIPM, SHRM, CIPD.
    • At least seven (7) years of cognate experience spanning across end-to-end training delivery, design, and execution.
    • Practical experience in Instructional design & development

    Team Member, Fleet Management

    Job Description
    Candidate's Profile:

    • We are currently seeking a TM, Fleet Management.
    • The candidate for this position must have good knowledge of automobiles, good interpersonal skills, relationships & stakeholder management.

    Job Objective(s)

    • The TM, Fleet Management is responsible for vehicle release management, vehicle maintenance, and repairs, documentation, and key administration as well as the Uber/Bolt hailing services.

    Responsibilities

    • Check and ensure documents advised by the assurance team for new vehicles are complete. 
    • Inspect vehicle delivered by the vendor for conformity. 
    • Manage vehicle registration and insurance. 
    • The file is opened for the car and labeled. 
    • Label documents prepared with DH concurrence and the Vehicle released to the beneficiary. 
    • Manage the entire maintenance and repair process to ensure vehicles are serviced as when due.
    • Prepare payment documents, log on to ERMS PORTAL to obtain necessary approvals, and ensure vendor accounts, are credited accordingly. 
    • Maintain filing systems both electronic and hard copies of all Bank Vehicles. 
    • Ensure spare key and original document of all status cars are retained and safe until advised by HCM to release. 
    • Ensure the safety of vehicle documents and spare keys (fireproofed cabinet). 
    • Ensure all vehicles are insured.
    • Ensure all Fuelling prepaid cards are loaded at the beginning of every month for all Bank-approved vehicles. 
    • Ensure unit and departmental make use of fuelling cards for fuelling only. 
    • Monitor and ensure accurate fuel is dispensed as approved. 
    • Maintain a relationship with the designated filling station to ensure the availability of products even during difficult periods.
    • Confirm the driver’s license of each driver at the point of entry.
    • Monitor the day-to-day activities of all pool drivers. 
    • Relate with driver's vendor on disciplinary and training issues. 
    • Relate with government agencies on document renewals and regulatory issues to ensure the company fleet follows all state and federal regulations.
    • Ensure staff compliance with bank hailing regulations. 
    • Ensure units and users are debited at end of every month and funds are retired appropriately.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field of study.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience

    Team Member, Employee Relations

    Job Description

    • We are currently seeking a TM, Employee Relations (Work Ethics). The candidate for this position must have good writing and communication skill, and a good understanding of labour laws and the organisation’s policies.

    Job Objective(s)

    • The TM, Employee Relations (Work Ethics) is involved with the disciplinary process & consequence management, industrial relations, litigation, active and ex-staff issues and CBN returns.

    Responsibilities

    • Review reports of wrongdoings from different parts of the bank.
    • Intermediate where necessary and sanction staff where the infraction is established.
    • Review reports for Disciplinary Committee and initiates DC proceedings once investigation reports are received.
    • Organise logistics for Disciplinary Committee sitting.
    • Take minutes of Disciplinary Committee sittings.
    • Guide Disciplinary Committee on policy provision vis-à-vis the infractions committed.
    • Implement Disciplinary Committee decisions/recommendations.
    • Review and formulate policies in conjunction with Risk Management, ensuing from gaps identified at DCS or emerging trends.
    • Manage ASSBIFI, NUBIFIE and NUP.
    • Coordinate occasional meetings with the different unions.
    • Manage the relationship between the Unions effectively to achieve industrial peace and harmony.
    • Advise Management on pain points of unionists and vice versa.
    • Update ASSBIFI/NUBIFIE on emerging directions of the Bank as it affects the staff and ensures union buy-in.
    • Liaise with PFA for the processing of pension payments.
    • Liaise with expense management to process ex-gratia pension payment on the payday of every month.
    • Receive and review complaints/petitions from active/ex-staff.
    • Send an acknowledgement letter to the complainant.
    • Review the staff records vis-à-vis complaints/petitions.
    • Liaise with responsible officers and units for resolution.
    • Seek Management's approval for HCM’s recommendation based on the agreed resolution as may be necessary.
    • Advice complainants of the outcome of their complaint /petition.
    • Identify and collate staff disengaged from the bank on the grounds of fraud and forgeries.
    • Prepare a schedule indicating the data for the period under review.
    • Forward to Chief Inspector for review.
    • Forward to Group Head, Human Resources for concurrence.
    • Forward to GMD/CEO for sign-off.
    • Forward the schedule to Investigations Unit for onward delivery to CBN in compliance with their circular.
    • Forward the schedule to regulatory reporting for onward delivery to CBN.
    • Download a list of sanctions bank-wide for the period under review.
    • Review the list and align it with the necessary requirements/templates for payroll.
    • Notify the relevant parties i.e. payroll team for proper application.
    • Receive report from legal department on ex-staff’s statement of claims.
    • Review the ex-staff’s records and respond to the statement of claim.
    • Make a court appearance as a witness for the bank on the designated court date.
    • Work in conjunction with compensation to advise the total staff benefits where decisions are in favour of the ex-staff and compensations are awarded.
    • Forward advised benefits to legal for onward processing.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree in Law (LLB), Industrial Relations or any related field of study.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience

    Knowledge & Skills Required:

    • Excellent knowledge of Labour Law.
    • Good knowledge of the organisation’s policies and code of conduct.
