    Procurement Volunteer

    Project Description

    • The Rivers State Surge Project is being implemented by the Institute of Human Virology of Nigeria (IHVN) in Rivers State. Funding for this project is from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDs Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Government Agency overseeing the project is the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

    Key Duties & Responsibilities
    Provide support in the following:

    • Carry out daily procurement activities
    • Full compliance of procurement activities with WEWE rules, regulations, policies and strategies;
    • Support preparation of procurement plans and their implementation /monitoring;
    • Organize procurement meeting processes including preparation and conduct of RFQs or RFPs, receipt of quotations, bids or proposals.
    • Raise Purchase Request form for all request
    • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
    • Work with procurement team members to complete duties as needed
    • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
    • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
    • Maintain records of vendors database, and other important data
    • Assist in inventory tracking and update
    • Assist in administrative activities
    • Assists staff as needed on creating clear and understandable purchase requests and other documentation.
    • Ensure that all Supplies, services and equipment’s required are delivered in time
    • Carry out any other duties or tasked as assigned by procurement team lead or management

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • HND / B.Sc in any discipline
    • Experience in Microsoft Office user including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
    • Minimum of 1 years cognitive experience
    • Must have fair verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with email correspondence.
    • Excellent and positive attitude
    • Ability to multitask.

    Operations Volunteer

    Project Description

    • To provide support in coordination of the quarterly board meetings and other WEWE meeting logistics.
    • To provide support in booking of flights and hotel reservations for staff.
    • To provide support in ensuring that the office and premises are cleaned at all times.
    • To provide support in store operations
    • To provide support in managing of WEWE reception.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • HND / B.Sc in any discipline
    • Experience in Microsoft Office user including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
    • Minimum of 1 years’ cognitive experience
    • Must have fair verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

    Project Driver Volunteer

    Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

    Project Description
    The Rivers State Surge Project is being implemented by the Institute of Human Virology of Nigeria (IHVN) in Rivers State. Funding for this project is from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDs Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Government Agency overseeing the project is the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

    Key Duties & Responsibilities
    Provide support in the following:

    • Assist in Driving project vehicle for official duties or as requested by management.
    • Assist in ensure timely conveyance of staff for official duties as instructed by supervisor.
    • Ensure punctuality and safe driving practices are adhered to according to WEWE and CDC/IHVN standards and regulations to both staff and guests.
    • Ensure that project vehicles are strictly used for official duties.
    • Ensure you arrive your destination on or before 6 PM on a trip. Where this is not achieved, make plans to pass the night somewhere safe, till the next morning.
    • Ensure that the project vehicle is always cleaned and maintained in line with WEWE/CDC/IHVN rules and regulations.
    • Work with the mechanic to ensure that project vehicle is serviced as at when due.
    • Assist admin in picking up official documents from courier services.
    • Assist admin in project vehicle paper renewal.
    • Ensure project vehicles are re-fuelled after 75% is utilized.
    • Ensure pre and post fuel check every day
    • Ensure project vehicles are functional by servicing regularly to avoid engine break down and ensure vehicle is kept secure, clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • A minimum of WAEC / SSCE is required
    • Trade Test in Driving & Mechanic (FED. MIN. OF LABOUR & PRODUCTIVITY)
    • Highway code and other trainings attended
    • Valid Driver’s License/Competence Technical Certificate
    • Minimum of 1 year’ cognitive experience
    • Good knowledge of computer skills
    • Ability to understand and follow road safety, security procedures and road signs

    Communication Volunteer

    Project Description

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Identifying and effectively communicating project success by developing success stories, case studies and short documentaries
    • Update and maintain WEWE’s website, social media platforms and blogs
    • Engage with mainstream media (Electronic and Print) to increase WEWE’s visibility and promote project impact
    • Coordinate staff meetings, prepare agendas and takes minutes of meetings as required and perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • A graduate with Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma or its equivalent, who has completed NYSC (or has a written exemption letter) with a First or Second Class Upper Division (2.1) in English, Linguistics, mass communication, journalism, or any social science related fields.
    • Minimum of 1 year’ cognitive experience in a reputable Organization in a similar role
    • Extremely strong computer skills, with knowledge of relevant publishing software such as but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Ms. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Desktop Publishing (Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, PDF, illustrator, InDesign – CorelDraw
    • Experience in Media Production ,Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn), Extremely strong in written and oral English language with research writing skills
    • Superior oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on creative approaches, attention to detail and efficient delivery methods.
