    Freelance/Contract Artist Manager/ Artists &Repertoire (A&R)

    Job description

    J-World ntertainment is a recording and music Management Company based in Lagos Nigeria. We provide artist management, record label and publishing services for mostly electronic artists. Our mission is to Empower Creators.

    As Operations Intern you will be responsible for supporting activities that optimize J-World's label, management and publishing operations. These can include data entry, contract management, YouTube Content ID and optimization of our artist's and catalog's presence with various industry partners. You'll work closely with our Partner Relations Manager and Business Affairs Manager to ensure that our artists are positioned in the best way possible and that our services continue to improve. The position is unique in it's kind and allows to get a great understanding of the modern music business. We aim to have this position transition into part-time and full-time employment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Metadata management: Consistent updating of metadata with our key partners and DSP's.
    • Projects execution: J-World is looking to always improve, which results in larger sporadic projects that can have a great impact on the way we operate. On such projects you will work closely with the COO and Label Operations Manager where you will execute on the devised strategy.  
    • Contract management: Creation and management of contracts crucial to our services.
    • Strategic research: investigating and researching key stakeholders and potential partners within the PR and music industry worldwide.

    Requirements

    • College / University background in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
    • Diligence and good work ethic
    • Punctual and good with deadlines
    • Ability to think structurally and how to tackle large tasks
    • Proficient at Excel and Google Sheets

    Freelance/Contract Operation Manager

    J-World Studios is a music studio, digital music production, photography and video recording. The studios also includes a music and film academy.

    Duties includes:

    • Coordinating with artists, producers, managers, and labels to schedule recording sessions. Critically, marketing the studio to potential new clients.
    • Perform accounting tasks such as billing.
    • Client relationship management via whatsApp and introduction to J-World Records
    • Organize Studio events and academy master classes, alumni programs and camp meetings.
    • Act as registrar for new trainees for the academy
    • Act as director of studies for the academy.
    • Collaborate with Director and production team on the daily filming agenda and make changes as needed.
    • Conduct interviews with project owner, on or off-camera.
    • Supervise a Photographer – Videographer, including providing her/him with a preliminary “shot” list and general direction about filming.
    • Review each day photos and video footage.
    • Supervise the photographer/videographer’s logging of video and the captions for the photos.

    Freelance/Contract Corporate Affair officer

    We are looking for a great cooperate affair Officer to help in securing sponsorship opportunities and media partnership for our projects and programs.

    The role involves working with clients to help them make the right decisions with their sponsorship cash and explain the sponsorship packages on offer to them. You'll also be expected to identify possible sales opportunities and generate new business for the company.

    Your role is all based around your clients and their needs, so you'll spend much of your day discussing the sponsorship packages and keeping records. Other daily duties will include:

    • Setting up meetings with new clients
    • Researching the latest products and regulations
    • Looking for new sales opportunities

    Manage relationships between sponsors and the Company; particularly the Company TV programs, conferences, events, and services through liaising with the programs, event, conference, and service chairs, and sponsor representatives
