    Recruitment Manager

    Job Summary

    • Drive the implementation of programs to actualize approved organisation development and recruitment strategies.
    • Oversee relevant initiatives/ projects such as job evaluation, update of HR policies and procedures manuals, organisation structures, job descriptions and all other relevant country specific documentations, as approved by Group leadership.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Participate and provide input to the development of relevant programs to facilitate achievement of strategic HR objectives.
    • Oversee the assessment Organization’s structure, job design, personnel forecasting, job evaluation and grading and make appropriate recommendations to the Director of HR & Administration.
    • Oversee country-wide organisational capability enhancement initiatives covering areas such as: competency management/ work force development, organisation structure design and updates, succession planning, employee retention, culture alignment and change management.
    • Champion the implementation of group approved recruitment strategies and plans within Nigeria.
    • Participate in the design and drive execution of appropriate systems/ frameworks to support recruitment
    • Plan, develop and forecasts workforce requirement, track and monitor country-wide manning levels.
    • Liaise with relevant officers within the Group for identification, selection and hiring of best-in-class talent to meet resource needs; liaise with relevant Group officers accordingly.
    • Conduct periodic reviews of employee records/ documentation and provide recommendations to address findings.
    • Oversee the management of the recruitment budget and authorize relevant expenditure in line with approved manual of authority.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, HR & Administration.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
    • Post graduate degree in an HR related discipline.
    • Professional qualification in HR Management e.g. Senior Professional in HR (SPHR), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience.

    Country Manager

    Job Description

    • Be the “champion” of the Company’s Technical, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Financial issues for the Country.
    • Develop and maintain high plant performance standards for all the country operations and take overall responsibility for all production related operations including:
      • Safety
      • Industrial excellence and technical support
      • Resources (people) mobilization/development
      • Customer Orientation
      • Sales, marketing and logistics
      • Industrial and marketing strategy;
      • Resource recovery and cement additives.
    • Develop the value of the plant ‘assets’ for the Operation through effective management of equipment, reserves, competencies and stakeholder relationships (plant ‘image’).
    • Liaise with the Group CEO to ensure that the strategic intent, vision and mission of the Group are achieved and co-ordinate the formulation, review and implementation of the Group’s strategy, goals and objectives.
    • Provide overall strategic leadership, direction and guidance to Country Chiefs and Directors.
    • Ensure the continuous growth and profitability of the Group’s business.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities
    Budgeting & Planning:

    • Champion the development and communication of the Group’s corporate strategy with the Regional CEO.
    • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Country Chiefs, and General Managers in the development of strategic plans for the Country operation.
    • Prepare the annual Country operations budgets for projects (capital expenditure), HR, marketing and other management programs approval and prudently monitor and manage the operation’s resources within the budgetary provisions.
    • Oversee the development of a 1-year, 3-year and 5-year annual operating plans that define the planning cycle, support strategic direction and correlate with the annual operating budget; submit annual plans to the Regional CEO for approval.

    Plant Management Cycle:

    • Oversee the conduct of in-depth research, assessment and analysis and benchmark the Country’s plant management strategies against other major players in view of industry and economic realities in order to ensure maintenance and improvement of production standards.
    • Define the Country operation’s performance improvement program and actions for optimization and maximization for new plant projects with the Regional CEO.

    Finance and Cost Reduction:

    • Oversee the development and maintenance of all necessary systems, controls, policies and procedures to ensure a rigorous financial framework.
    • Authorize expenses in line with the Operation objectives and budget provisions.

    Investments and Projects:

    • Identify all short to medium term projects for the operation, develop clearly defined programs to enable implementation and oversee execution of identified projects.
    • Approve capital expenditure required for investments and oversee the design of an effective tracking and control system to monitor cost and the return on investment.

    Sales and Marketing:

    • Champion the development of a sales and marketing strategy, guidelines and standards for the Operation with focus on industrial excellence.
    • Facilitate the design of a tracking and monitoring system with indicators to assess the growth in marketing.
    • Serve as the Group’s main brand promoter by representing the Group at key functions and occasions and ensure that the key initiatives and programs of the Country consistently reinforce and renew its corporate brand value and identity.

    Product Quality and Customer Satisfaction:

    • Develop a customer oriented culture for the Country ensuring prompt feedback in addressing customer complaints issues
    • Ensure the maintenance of product quality and provision of quality service.
    • Demonstrate ownership of quality assurance and control procedures as well as the overall quality of all products manufactured by the Country.
    • Human Resources Management and Development
    • Identify the right mix of people, technology, innovation and management to propel the country’s activities.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
    • Professional degree/ qualification such as MBA is required.
    • Minimum of twenty-five (25) years’ experience, with at least 15 years in a senior management level.
