    Head, Corporate Strategy & Business Analytics

    JOB PURPOSE

    • Lead the execution of the Bank’s corporate strategy through the development and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and enhance the overall performance of the Bank. Conduct comprehensive market and profitability analyses across product lines to support informed strategic decision-making.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead the formulation, execution, and continuous refinement of the Bank’s corporate strategy in alignment with its vision, long-term objectives, and regulatory requirements.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive management by providing data-driven insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support high-level decision-making.
    • Strengthen strategy execution frameworks, policies, and performance management systems.
    • Conduct advanced market, industry, competitor, and macroeconomic analysis to identify growth opportunities, risks, and strategic threats.
    • Oversee evaluation of internal and external factors impacting profitability, sustainability, and market positioning.
    • Champion the Bank’s value proposition and competitive positioning strategies across products and services.
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and cost-optimization initiatives tied to strategic objectives.
    • Lead comprehensive business process reviews and transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and digital improvement while ensuring that ensuring solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable value.
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and process improvement methodologies to support innovation and modernization efforts.
    • Provide governance and oversight for requirements definition, solution delivery, UAT and implementation readiness for major enterprise products, systems, and solutions.
    • Manage and oversee strategic projects and programs, including project planning, prioritization, risk management, and performance monitoring.
    • Serve as a primary liaison between senior stakeholders, business units, and technical teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and effective delivery of initiatives.
    • Prepare and present reports and dashboards to executive management, committees, and other governance forums.
    • Facilitate strategic workshops, executive meetings, and cross-functional sessions to drive alignment, decision-making, and execution.
    • Ensure proper documentation, communication, and post-implementation evaluation of strategic initiatives and projects.
    • Mentor and develop strategy and business analysis team members, fostering capability development and knowledge transfer.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING PROGRAMS

    • Minimum of a university degree/HND in Statistics, Economics, or any related discipline from a reputable institution.
    • An MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an added advantage

    SKILLS NECESSARY FOR JOB FUNCTION:

    • Strong proficiency and working knowledge of Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.
    • Attention to details and prioritization skills.
    • Broad and farsighted view of the unit, organization, and its future.
    • Capacity to organize the members of a team efficiently to deliver desired results.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines with high level of accuracy.
    • Excellent Presentation skills

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience preferably in a financial institution.

    Corporate Strategy & Business Analytics Officer

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Officer will support the development and execution of the Bank’s strategic planning as well as conduct business analysis, and performance monitoring functions.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the development and execution of the Bank’s strategic initiatives by assisting with research, analysis, and documentation.
    • Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and prepare summary reports for review.
    • Assist in analysing internal performance data, financial trends, and operational metrics to support informed decision-making.
    • Support the preparation of business cases, strategy presentations, and reports for management and stakeholders.
    • Assist in translating data and analysis into actionable insights under guidance from senior analysts or managers.
    • Participate in business process reviews to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
    • Support process improvement and optimization initiatives, including documentation of current and proposed processes.
    • Assist with requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis for new products, systems, or process enhancements.
    • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities by documenting test cases, coordinating feedback, and reporting issues.
    • Help monitor project activities, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed as scheduled.
    • Prepare meeting notes, reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and progress updates.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, and support project execution.
    • Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and records related to strategy and business analysis initiatives.
    • Stay informed on industry trends, process improvement techniques, and technology developments relevant to the Bank

    EDUCATION/TRAINING PROGRAMS

    • Minimum of a university degree/HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or any related discipline from a reputable institution.

    SKILLS NECESSARY FOR JOB FUNCTION:

    • Strong proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SQL, Power BI, etc.
    • Proven work experience in a quantitative role.
    • Should be detail oriented and have good communication skills.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines with high level of accuracy.
    • Excellent Presentation skills.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in a financial institution.
