    Officer - Logistics Operations

    Description

    • Move physical stocks within warehouse i.e. from receiving to bulk to fulfilment to staging/dispatch and storage of materials and updating the records in oracle
    • Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements
    • Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition
    • Ensure materials are handled in appropriate manner in the warehouse
    • Kitting and packaging of the materials for fulfilment of the sales order

    Description

    Manager - Regional Facilities North

    Mission:

    To define the specifications, scope, and set objectives for the installation and acceptance of building systems and infrastructure to provide and maintain a conducive physical environment for all to perform their duties effectively and efficiently in MTN Nigeria operations, maximize their useful life span, and keep them in good working condition.

    Description:

    • Define scope and initiate best practice procedures for ensuring proper operation and maintenance of building infrastructure and systems in technical and non-technical facilities.
    • Schedule and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure the achievement of specified objectives.
    • Prepare timely and concise functional and business reports on the status of all facilities.
    • Manage the provision of utilities (excluding power) and the settlement of related bills.
    • Provide maintenance support to expatriate residences as required, as well as define and manage service level agreements (SLA) and KPIs for internal customers and the maintenance team as regards the availability of critical systems and building infrastructure.
    • Manage the deployment of required building infrastructure systems during office expansion projects.
    • Oversee and ensure the provision of specific operator’s training to internal customers, such as relevant security employees and general awareness training, as well as emergency response procedures for all employees.
    • Provide tender specifics and formulation, adjudication, and negotiation support to relevant procurement teams during supplier selection, and provide employees with the requisite training to perform excellent maintenance on building infrastructure and systems.
    • Perform a quarterly demand analysis to assess the adequacy of current services in terms of the available capacity of building infrastructure and systems, e.g., water treatment and supply systems, CCTV systems, access control, etc.
    • Perform the formal handover of new facilities to the operations’ team from the implementation team with the operation and maintenance documentation, manuals, drawings, and wiring and cabling schedules.
    • Liaise with the project implementation team during the design and implementation of new facilities to ensure the maintainability of building infrastructure and systems.
    • Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g., strategic investors, technical and financial partners, business consultants, etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
    • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
    • Identify the training requirements of team members and develop programs to address knowledge gaps and enrich the knowledge repository within the department.

    Education:

    • First degree in an engineering or technical discipline
    • A postgraduate qualification in engineering or a numerate business discipline would be an added advantage.

    Experience:

    6–13 years’ experience, which includes:

    Engineer - Transmission Access Planning LSW

    Description:

    • Design, direct and ensure Cost-effective solutions and innovative approach to network planning is maintained.
    • Produce detailed microwave link engineering design using Pathloss planning tool. 
    • Plan and design Fiber infrastructure route and connectivity plan using google earth and AutoCAD planning tool.

    Engineer - IP Access Planning

    Description

    • Plan and design nodes, sites and links within the national IP/MPLS Edge & Core Networks and ensure ongoing development to cater for new developments in the organization’s business plan.
    • Produce network convergence hierarchy, topology, architecture and infrastructure redundancy plan for VPN service integration, regional Service provider edge aggregation and IP Core Transport via the multi-service backbone.

    Representative - Sales and Trade Development Kano Municipal

    Mission:

    To manage and develop trade infrastructure and the channels of distribution especially retailers to ensure MTN dominance at retail in the assigned territory.

    Description:

    • Confirm  that  sub dealers and dealer branches are contacted and stock receipt/movement verified. 
    • Provide informal training in shops on products, services and promotions being run by marketing, channel or region and on-the-spot training/coaching of all visited outlets in territory (100% of all visited outlets in call cycle)
    • Manage events and promos, generate sub-dealer promo specifications and perform post-promo evaluation
    • Provide weekly/monthly sales activity report and market intelligence report to field service engineers
    • Monitor and report back on network quality and other sales impacting indices in territory covered
    • Ensure call cycle time of 8 - 10 visits a day per territory or as business requires
    • Identify, classify and support all players in channels of distribution and ensure  weekly/monthly database update
    • Ensure MTN product availability in channel is >95% at all times and provide weekly product availability report of all visited outlets during call cycles
