    Guest Relations Manager

    A seasoned guest relations Manager experienced at working with a diverse and high-profile clientele and building lasting relationships with customers to facilitate business goals. He / She provides a high level first contact approach and supervises front office & Sales team members to ensure professional, seamless and efficient operations guaranteed to exceed guest expectation and produce excellent feedback

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, Build and train a strong, efficient and customer-centric front desk operations team
    • Support team members in handling guest requests and enquiries to ensure that a positive outcome is achieved
    • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times at the Welcome Center and Corporate Lodge reception desk
    • Advise team of any special events or VIP Guests on the property for events or for general accommodations
    • Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
    • Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
    • Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote services and facilities at Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate.
    • Ensure Team Members have a current knowledge of all the products, and facilities at Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate.
    • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire Team Members to exceed standards
    • Maintain a good working relationship with Team Members in other departments (Banquets, Housekeeping, Spa, and Maintenance)
    • Supervise operations of all leisure activities (paddle boat, bird watching, etc.)

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

    • University Degree in business management or the humanities.
    • Additional degree or certificate in hospitality will be an advantage.
    • Five years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment, two years at supervisory level
    • Good knowledge of Property Management System: Opera, Epitome, Delphi, Quickbooks etc
    • Knowledge of Microsoft off

    Maintenance Staff

    Maintenance staff will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

    Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

    • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
    • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
    • Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
    • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
    • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
    • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    • Maintaining records of any work and inspections done on-premises
    • Performing inventory on repair supplies
    • Keeping repair tools and supplies clean and organized
    • Setting up repair appointments with mechanics or electricians when needed
    • Making and installing new furniture or equipment
    • Ensuring all safety systems are functioning properly, including smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
    • Conducting routine maintenance on equipment and building systems
    • Completing safety checks on systems and equipment
    • Doing pest control, pool maintenance and landscaping
    • Performing general maintenance tasks for the building or buildings, such as window washing, drywall repair, plastering, carpentry, flooring repair, painting and more
    • Detecting, identifying and repairing building issues, like basic problems with the building's electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems

    Qualifications 
    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
    • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
    • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
    • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
    • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
    • Strong time management skills
    • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Proven maintenance experience.
    • Related degree from a technical college/ Trade test.
    • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
    • Experience performing routine maintenance.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
    • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
