    Medical Officer

    Job Responsibilities

    • To provide first point of contact care to patients, clerk all new cases including taking history, examining the patient and making a diagnosis/provisional diagnosis of illnesses and Injuries as soon as possible
    • To provide preventative care and acute care, as well as make referrals to specialists as the patients' condition indicates and coordinate the participation of specialists in the patients' treatment 
    • To carry out procedures under supervision in line with medical privileges
    • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patients’ encounters.
    • Prompt incidence reporting and management of patients’ grievances.
    • Provide health education and support to patients and their attendants
    • Liaise and work with other medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality care is given to patients
    • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality
    • Comply with the use of Standard Operating Procedures and policies / adherence to quality standards and clinical practice guidelines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Educational Qualifications

    • MBBS or its equivalent
    • Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, with a valid medical practicing license.

    • Appropriate procedural skills (including intubation, resuscitation and invasive monitoring)
    • Clinical acumen and Diagnostic skills

    Nurse Assistant

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist nurses in the care of patients in the operating theatre
    • Serve meals, make beds keep rooms clean 
    • Feed, bathe and dress patients where required
    • Assist with the set up medical equipment
    • Answer calls for help and observe changes in patients condition report same accordingly  
    • Report incidents and complaints of patients in a timely manner 
    • Maintaining a clean and safe environment always

    Pharmacist

    Summary of Responsibilities

    • Drug dispensing activities
    • Provide drug information and advice to other healthcare professionals within the hospital.
    • Provide professional service, information, counselling and advice to patients on medicines supplied.
    • Stock Management.
    • Report dispensing errors and adverse drug reactions.
    • Accurate endorsement of prescriptions for billing purposes and appropriate provision of drugs to various categories of patients.
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the pharmacy.
    • Comply with the use of Standard Operating Procedures and policies/adherence to quality standards.
    • Review of each prescription or order to ensure the appropriateness of the medication for the patient and his or her clinical needs.

    Job Qualifications

    Nephrology Nurse

    • To coordinate, organize, delegate, provide direct nursing care to patients with impaired kidney function and oversee the daily function of the dialysis staff.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Maintains accountability for the coordination and delivery of care to patients with renal disease.
    • Routine patient assessments
    • Oversees the preparation of the delivery system, dialysate bath, and dialyzer and confirms that all mandatory alarm tests on the dialyzer and equipment are performed.
    • Conducts pre-dialysis patient assessment including obtaining patient vital signs and assessing the patient’s vascular access, laboratory findings, and the patient’s general health.
    • Assesses, prepares, and cannulates a patient’s vascular access (including needle insertion in arteriovenous fistula or grafts for aseptic connection with dialysis equipment)
    • Review patient’s medical records as appropriate and administer dialysis related intra-venous and / oral medications as prescribed and/ or per protocol.
    • Conduct post dialysis assessment and patient discharge by evaluating treatment, documenting medication administration, utilizing the appropriate protocols, assessing condition of vascular access, discharging the patient when vital signs are stable, and documenting and recording patient treatment data
    • Oversee the administering of transfusions to patients where necessary
    • Recording chart data and other patient information to enable doctors assess the conditions of the patients
    • Comply with the use of standard Operating Procedures and policies / adherence to quality standard
    • Participate in your departmental quality improvement project

    Educational Qualifications

    • Registered Nurse/ Registered Midwife and Registered Nephrology Nurse

    • ACLS
    • Computer skills – Use of MS Word ,MS Excel
