    Custodian III

    DUTIES: 

    • Ensure proper cleaning of all offices and conveniences in the buildings.
    • Raise material requisitions/issues for outsourced contractor's use on a daily and weekly basis.
    • Distribution of toiletries to the contractor's staff in all the buildings on daily basis.
    • Monitor custodian contractor's staff on their daily routine job for satisfactory performance.
    • Follow up from time to time on daily cleaning activities with the buildings representatives in their respective buildings.
    • Receive work order and follow up with the requestors to meet work deadline.
    • Measure floor spaces when needed for work order requests.
    • Keep proper record of all cleaning activities, materials, machines and tools.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATION:

    • Trade Test Certificate with a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience or National Diploma in Business Administration or any other related course with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Have proven knowledge of cleanliness and beautification of offices and buildings.

    Mechanic II

    DUTIES: 

    • Carry out vehicle (s) diagnostics/troubleshooting and prognostics.
    • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair based on the vehicle diagnostics.
    • Carry out recovery of vehicle at the stipulated location.
    • Carry out cleaning and maintenance of workshop and equipment respectively.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATION:

    • Trade Test Certificate with a minimum of (6) years’ experience or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any other related course with a minimum of (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment. 

    COMPETENCIES:

    • The ideal candidate must:
    • Be proficient in Automotive Technology Repairs
    • Be proficient in Auto-diagnostic/troubleshooting
    • Possess the ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Possess the ability to learn and unlearn.

    Research Support Officer (Feed & Forage)

    DUTIES: 

    • Assist in setting up, managing, and maintaining forage research trials in the field and laboratory.
    • Support sample preparation, laboratory analysis, and data processing.
    • Maintain research equipment, tools, and materials in good condition.
    • Provide technical and logistical support for all field trial activities.
    • Collect and Prepare feed and forage samples, and the operation of the NIRS machine for sample analysis.
    • Maintaining the forage field and forage genetic plots.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATION:

    • HND/BSc in Animal Science and other related courses. The ideal candidate must have minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Graduate Animal Scientist (GAS) Certification issued by Nigerian Institute of Animal Scientist (NIAS) is required.

    COMPETENCIES:

    The ideal candidate must:

    • Be proficient in data collection, entry, and basic statistical analysis.
    • Have strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Possess good communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Have the ability to work under field conditions and adapt to different research environments.

    Research Technician III

    DUTIES: 

    • Assist in the setup of livestock feed and black soldier fly (BSF) trials.
    • Support the technical team in maintaining a hygienic environment on the ILRI farm.
    • Support the Veterinary team in maintaining the well-being of the livestock on the ILRI farm.
    • Provide support for the collection and processing of fodder for livestock.
    • Provide support with the production of livestock feed on the ILRI farm.
    • Assist in compliance with daily activities on the ILRI research farm.
    • Provide support with the production of high-quality cassava peels.
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATION:

    • National Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Production and any other related course of study.
    • The ideal candidate must have minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

    Research Support Officer (Data Management)

    DUTIES:

    Field Research Support

    • Assist in implementing research protocols and surveys.
    • Conduct field visits for data collection, farmer interviews, and sample gathering.
    • Support livestock trials and demonstrations.

    Data Management

    • Enter and clean data using appropriate software (e.g. Excel, Kobo Toolbox, SPSS).
    • Maintain accurate records of field activities and observations.
    • Assist in basic data analysis and reporting.
    • Develop and manage databases for research and operational data.
    • Ensure data quality through validation, cleaning, and standardization processes.
    • Support data collection protocols and tools for field and lab activities.
    • Provide technical support for data analysis and visualization.
    • Maintain data security and confidentiality in line with ILRI policies.
    • Train staff and partners on data management best practices and survey.
    • Contribute to publications and presentations through data support.

    Logistical Support

    •  Assist in organizing logistics, including transport and materials.
    • Support procurement and inventory of field supplies.
    • Perform any other job-related tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATION:

    • HND/BSC in Agricultural Extension, Business Administration or any other related course of study.
    • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.

    COMPETENCIES:

    The ideal candidate must:

    • Possess strong attention to detail.
    • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive research information.
    • Be highly proactive.
    • Have experience in Research related field.
    • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to work in a diverse research environment.
