    Content Writer

    Job Description

    • Fitted is redefining the global fashion landscape by bringing awesome native wear to customers anywhere while formalizing the custom clothing production value chain in frontier markets.
    • The Content Writer is responsible for writing content that communicates the different aspects of the business. You will work on explaining new innovative products to the masses as well as curating fashion blogs and style updates for customers.     Ideal Candidate

    UX Designer

    Job Description

    • You’ll be instrumental in creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes from the design process to implementation.

    Activities

    • UX Design:
      • Deliver the designs for each release by following through on details with cross-functional partners, and driving fit-and-finish polish.
      • Running user testing of applications, software, websites and mobile apps
      • Developing and maintaining design wireframes (basic mock-ups of applications) and specifications
      • Create UX designs in collaboration with designers & Management
      • Considering the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design

    Marketing & Communications Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Digital Marketing & Communications role helps all marketing & communication for Fitted®.
    • Their goal is to help build a community and cost effectively draw stakeholders into the Fitted® ethos.

    They engage in the following activities:

    • Development and execution of communications plan and calendar in tandem with the Management team
    • Development of engaging content for relevant stakeholders via all media – from print to social media, email newsletters, calls and texts. Expectation is that this stakeholder list will include investors and customers.
    • Devise and execute marketing campaigns to drive/improve quantifiable business metrics through innovative and pace-setting initiatives and ideas. These metrics include consumer demand (sales), customer satisfaction, brand strength
    • Develop the Fitted® brand through multiple channels – physical events, partnerships, sponsorships, etc.
    • Facilitate marketing campaigns via digital, social media and all other relevant channels
    • Partner with the Design Team, Operations Team, and Management to devise new innovative ways of delivering exceptional value to consumers in novel ways. This may extend as far ideation on ways to use packaging as an effective product promotion, or suggesting attention-catching freebies, etc.

    Education, Experience and Skills

    • As an HR Specialist, you’ll works to build the team behind Fitted. Given our position at the intersection of multiple industries from fashion to technology, this will mean working closely to recruit, motivate, reward, train and develop leaders in fashion, technology and operations.
    • You’re expected to handle a wide range of employee-related activity and use digital tools to build a scalable  HR function.

    Activities
    Employee Recruitment:

    • Manage the end-to-end of recruitment for the Company, implementing improvements that have a demonstrable impact
    • Drafting of job descriptions based on requirements from Management
    • Updating job applications across various portals / locations
    • Design of optimal screening techniques for the Company
    • Interviewing and screening candidates
    • Communication with candidates on behalf of Fitted
    • Managing negotiations with employees in the recruitment process

    Performance Management:

    Back-end Developer (Node.JS + MongoDB)

    Job Description

    • The Back end Developer role develops, maintains, and optimizes the technology stack for Fitted®. Their goal is to help build the technology that facilitates every aspect of the company optimize its performance. Our ideal candidate will:
    • Be familiar with the pillars and expected behaviours of agile methodologies like the scrum framework/ kanban suited to rapid product development and iterative product building based on market feedback
    • Write code to develop the backend for new software capabilities (mobile apps, websites etc.)

    3D Fashion Designer

    What we Want

    • We are looking for an exceptional designer in fashion illustration (3D fashion design methods welcome) to design new styles for Fitted.
    • Candidates who are familiar with traditional Nigerian-style apparel will have an advantage.
    • We want a designer to develop styles for us, so strong commercial savvy is vital.
    • Strong candidates will be able to identify target markets for designs and use factors such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status to drive customer adoption.
    • If you are obsessed with great design, love technology, have wanted to join a Startup, or wondered how you could use your skills to effect lasting change as a trend setter, then we might be perfect for you.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Fashion Design / Production preferred
    • 3 - 6 years professional experience designing outfits for a variety of men’s clothing. Experience with women’s clothing a strong bonus.

    Requirements & Skills:

    • Outstanding design skills: Breath-taking design ideas, able to create styles which effortlessly blend multiple thematic constructs and geographic influences. There should be a strong focus on actual customer day-to-day use, not conceptual novelty. Top candidates will be able to oversee/manage production of samples of their designs via our tailor network. Knowledge of African tastes is a nice plus. Candidates should be comfortable sewing together sections of material to form mockups or samples of garments or articles, using sewing equipment.
    • Strong Production skills: Ability to select materials and production techniques to be used for products. Candidates must be comfortable sketching rough and detailed drawings of apparel or accessories, and write specifications such as color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements
    • Fabric knowledge: Knowledge of a broad range of fabrics (in Nigeria and abroad) is a necessary skill. Candidates must also be comfortable with testing fabric so garment care labels can be created.
    • Exceptional fashion illustration (3D modelling skills welcome): Ability to produce digitally life-like 3D versions of products for Fitted for use in multiple media (online store, print, adverts). Experience with Optitex or similar other hyper-realistic software for fabrics and models a plus. Particularly skilled at creating hyper-realistic 3d fabric imagery conveying breathability, weight, drape, durability, softness, and other properties of fabric. Adept at producing tech packs and other explaining material for production
    • Market Research skills: Strong pulse on trends in global and African fashion.
    • Pattern drafting: Skills with pattern drafting and cutting required. Candidates must be able to draw patterns for articles designed; then cut patterns, and cut material according to patterns, using measuring instruments and scissors.
    • Personality: Can-do attitude, self-motivated person with innate curiosity about the fashion, business and media world. This opportunity is well suited to ambitious candidates who can operate in a high-pressure but immensely rewarding environment with deadlines.

    Fashion Production Manager

    Job Description
    What We Want:

    • Well-spoken, tech-savvy, articulate young fashion production or equivalent graduate with 4-6 years’ experience managing custom clothing production by tailors and fashion personnel across the tailoring value-chain (pattern-cutting, sewing, designing, delivery).
    • Ideal candidates will have exceptional project management skills and will be excellent at ensuring standardized documentation and protocols are followed for key processes across order delivery, tailor testing and outfit production.
    • They will have flair for design and visual communication, excel at relationship management, and exhibit versatility to liaise with stakeholders from tailors to investors.
    • The candidate will be datacentric – preferring to use metrics and numbers to inform process improvement recommendations and ways of improving service delivery.
    • They would be familiar with creating and presenting reports showcasing performance of metrics against targets. An eye for design is essential to success in this role, and strong proficiency for planning and executing events will be a significant added bonus.

    Responsibilities
    Important tasks to engage in for this role would be:

    • Contribute to the design & implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”) for production stakeholders on the Fitted®network (tailors, fabric suppliers, embroiderers)
    • Pull swatches and prep for shrinkage tests, lab dips, and wash processes
    • Maintain production calendar and WIP reports
    • Take detailed notes/photos in all fittings and send a recap to the patternmaker/sample maker
    • Contribute to the design & implementation of Standard Operating Guidelines (“SOG”) that govern quality delivery on every order. Checks and balances for every phase of order will be expected.
    • Communicate and manage all staff working on orders to comply with the SOPs and SOGs of the Company
    • Work with the technology and Management team to help in scoping out proprietary software needs for optimal performance of the business and maximum compliance to our SLAs on every order
    • Organise the Fitting QVE (“Quality Vetting Exam”) where tailors are appraised for their skill in sewing outfits. This will include venue selection, vendor coordination (photographers etc.), and efficient on-boarding for tailors post-exam, including background checks/verification.
    • Devise low-cost, sustainable recruitment strategy for sourcing tailoring talent as well as 3rd party vendors who contribute to producing clothes (fabric suppliers, etc.)
    • Develop strategic fabric procurement partnerships with reliable fabric suppliers for the fabric requirements of the business. This requires constant evaluation of multiple prospective suppliers and negotiating favourable terms (like deferred payment) while getting competitive pricing per yard
    • Monitor the production process and ensure delivery of a First-Time-Fit-Rate of over 90% for clothes produced by Fitted (i.e. 90% of outfits made fit perfectly the first time)
    • Oversee the entire experience of tailors on platform, coordinating their welfare, managing dispute resolution, communication of terms & conditions, etc.
    • Your opening tasks will be to complete the detailed research into processes, techniques, and procedures best suited for production of outfits by Fitted vetted tailors, making recommendations on internalization / outsourcing of critical things like pattern cutting and embroidery.
    • Our budget for this dept will be progressive, for some required equipment to ensure output at the highest standards. We expect to open a physical office in a market in Lagos in Q1-2021 with your assistance.

    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in pattern drafting / fashion design preferred with additional certification in fashion production welcome

    Experience:

    • 4 - 6 years professional experience as a fashion production manager in a custom clothing business (for traditional African apparel) for men and women’s clothing.
