    Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer

    • The MEL Officer will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems to track program performance, assess impact, and promote evidence-based learning across all The FATE School programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of The FATE School programs in line with agreed MEL standards.
    • Participate in the design and application of impact measurement tools, including surveys, pre-and post-training assessments, and discussion guides.
    • Collect, clean, analyse, and summarise qualitative and quantitative program data.
    • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly, annual, and donor reports within agreed timelines.
    • Maintain accurate documentation, storage, and management of MEL data and reports.
    • Share insights, lessons learned, and success stories with program teams to inform learning and decision -making.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Sociology, or another Social Science discipline from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
    • Experience designing and implementing MEL systems across the project lifecycle.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
    • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.
    • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
    • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
      High attention to detail and strong data management skills.
      Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools.
      Strong interest and passion for the non – profit or development sector.

    Finance Associate

    • The Program Finance Associate provides strategic and operational finance support for donor-funded and internal programs, including budget management, financial analysis, and preparation of program financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders.
    • The role ensures compliance with donor agreements, organizational financial policies, and reporting timelines, and serves as a key finance partner to program teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Develop, monitor, and control program budgets to ensure effective and appropriate use of funds.
    • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders in line with reporting requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with donor agreements, organisational financial policies, and audit standards.
    • Provide financial oversight and support to implementing partners and sub – grantees, including review of financial reports.
    • Act as a finance business partner to program teams, offering financial guidance to support informed planning and decision – making.
    • Support internal and external audit processes, respond to audit queries, and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • HND/ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA (or ACA).
    • 6 –10 years’ relevant finance experience, preferably within an NGO, international organisation, or donor -funded environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in program finance, donor reporting, partner/sub -grantee oversight, and audit support.
    • Proficient in using accounting systems for financial management and reporting.
    • Advanced skills for budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.

    Programs Manager and Head, Learning & Influence

    • The Programs Manager and Head, Learning & Influence leads the design and delivery of entrepreneurship programs, learning content, and impact measurement at FATE School.
    • The role ensures programs are high-quality, entrepreneur-centred, and evidence-based, while strengthening content, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder engagement to enhance learning outcomes and organisational impact under FATE Foundation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design, development, and delivery of high – quality entrepreneurship curricula and learning programs aligned with The FATE School’s strategy.
    • Design and manage robust monitoring and evaluation systems to measure learning outcomes, demonstrate impact, and inform evidence-based decision-making
    • Oversee the creation, publishing, and performance of clear, engaging, and value – driven learning content across digital platforms, including the MSME Hub and social media.
    • Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple programs and projects from inception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and measurable results.
    • Work closely with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to co – create programs, manage expectations, and strengthen collaboration across the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
    • Develop and manage volunteer engagement strategies, ensuring accountability, data confidentiality, and effective reporting to governance bodies.
    • Use data, feedback, and emerging best practices to improve program quality, enhance entrepreneur experience, and introduce innovative learning and engagement approaches.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in economics , Sociology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 –8 years’ experience, preferably within a nonprofit or development organisation.
    • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, strategy delivery, and impact measurement.
    • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods; econometric analysis is an advantage.
    • Strong project management, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
    • High integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
    • Strong interest in entrepreneurship, business development, growth.
    • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
