    EMR Associate

    Project: ACE 5

    Job Description

    • The incumbent will help design, adapt and maintain databases with the Strategic Information and program team to match strategic program or implementation changes.
    • S/he will ensure the scale up and functionality of the EMR across all project sites.
    • S/he will help ensure all relevant program staff can use the database to analyze program information and results.
    • S/he will help with training in data management and analysis tools, including ODK Collect, Mobile NMRS and MS Office products for team members.
    • Will assist in reviewing data being collected to locate and fix problems with data entry or integrity.
    • Will assist with the deployment, implementation and use of updated or new databases
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • HND or University Degree in Computer Science, Information System or related field.
    • At least 2 years’ experience with Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment.
    • Experience with use, deployment and EMR management. Knowledge of Access or other programming language a plus. Ability to troubleshoot and run database queries.
    • Ability to work under pressure cooperatively as a member of a team.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret large amount of information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent personal communication skills, in written and verbal English, with high impact influencing and persuasive skills and able to represent the organization to donors and partners
    • Good experience of using Ms. Word, Excel or applicable software related to position

    Grant & Contracts Associate

    Job Description

    • Grant & Sub-Contracts Associate will work with the Finance Officer to provide lead administration for the management of awards and sub awards to include contracts, grants and cooperative agreements
    • Will monitor workflows and help develop and implement systems to provide sound management control over ECEWS compliance with award terms and conditions and the organizational policies
    • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • A Degree in Law (LLB), B.Sc in Business Administration, Accounting or related field with 3 - 6 years relevant experience;
    • A related Master's Degree (LLM / M.Sc / MBA) with relevant experience in an NGO setting.
    • Ability to conduct in-depth research
    • Previous experience working on contracts litigation, labour law, and other corporate matters would be an advantage.
    • Relevant software skills to include spreadsheet and data base software and Management Information Systems.
    • Working knowledge of donor (USAID, CDC, DFID, Global Fund) contract and grant agencies are required.
    • Ability to interpret funding regulations and develop implementing procedures is required.

    Program Assistant

    Job Description

    • Will provide programmatic and administrative support to the state Office.
    • He/she will contribute to the design, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of facility and community-based target driven activities and quality service provision/delivery within the state or LGAs.
    • The successful candidate will ensure adequate and timely activity implementation through periodic work plan review, processing memos, fund requests, monitoring of expenditure and initiating corrective actions to mitigate financial risk to the organization and adherence to donor and organizational policies and guidelines.
    • Maintain program monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools to effectively supervise deliverables and burn rate of community-based target driven activities in the implementation of high-quality HIV/AIDS services at state, cluster and LGA levels; based on approved workplan.

    Public Health Advisor

    Job Description

    • The Advisor will provide high-level strategic guidance on assessing threats to human life and health and evaluating the condition of health infrastructure for primary and secondary care. This includes advising on health referral systems, laboratory capacity, essential drugs, and health information systems for vulnerable populations, such as PLHIV.
    • Collaborating closely with national authorities and health partners, the Advisor will lead the design and coordination of public health response activities as part of the health cluster’s strategy. Provide expert analysis of coordination mechanisms and recommend improvements based on emerging needs.
    • The Advisor will also evaluate public health risks, capacities, and priorities for ECEWS and partners, providing guidance on addressing challenges and operational adjustments.
    • Monitor progress towards universal health coverage, analyzing social determinants of health and identifying inequities in health service delivery to recommend innovative interventions.
    • The role involves leading the implementation of evidence-based public health policies and programs across various life stages, including maternal and newborn health, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), health equity, and other related areas.
    • The Advisor will also consolidate data from multiple health sectors, providing expert analysis of trends, with a focus on early warning and surveillance systems.
    • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with key partners and the incident management team, producing actionable reports and documenting “lessons learned” to inform future operations.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • University Degree in Public Health and/or health-related fields from an accredited/recognized institute.
    • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Public Health. Postgraduate studies or specialized training in emergency response or disaster management in the context of public health is an added advantage.
    • At least Ten years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in Public Health in emergency response or health sector coordination.
    • Experience in capacity building, developing, and promoting collaborative partnerships.
    • Relevant work experience in relevant nongovernmental or humanitarian organizations on USG-funded programs.
    • Experience leading capacity-building initiatives, fostering partnerships, and implementing health programs in humanitarian settings.
    • Experience with resource mobilization in emergency settings.
    • In-depth knowledge of public health programs with a focus on prevention and control of NCDs and major risk factors, the health system, and the Millennium Development Goals
    • Managerial skills for the development, implementation, and analysis of technical cooperation programs and activities, including the development of programmatic indicators.
    • Must possess high-level relationship management/ advocacy skills.
    • Must possess good report writing, presentation, data analytics, and interpretation skills.
    • Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure.
    • Demonstrated creativity and innovativeness in adapting to challenging work environments.
    • Possess high-level systems and process improvement skills, strategic thinker with the ability to apply root cause analysis in problem solving.

    AYP Assistant

    Job Description

    • Implementation of the AYP activities and ensure dissemination of gender transformative information to key stakeholders across the implementing states.
    • Will assist strengthening the provision of GBV prevention and management services, HIV Stigma & Reduction activities, Health Equity, and support the target group in health ownership and responsibility.
    • Will assist in providing technical guidance in the development and implementation of activities that facilitate linkages and referrals linkage between and within communities and health facilities and work closely with the IMSAFER(NMW) Activity instructors.
    • Will assist in designing strategies that will ensure that the needs of Adolescent & Young People are adequately addressed and enhance their access to a range of key services that include Access to ARV, VL sample collection, family Planning/ Reproductive Health information/services, post GBV care services.
    • Will contribute to program development and management by collecting and analyzing data on Adolescents and Young People and monitoring implementation progress.
    • Will assist in ensuring that programs work towards ensuring adolescent empowerment through development of life skills and creating opportunities for social and civic engagement.
    • Support development/adaptation of technical tools in consultation/collaboration with the relevant program staff and other key stakeholders at all stages of the project implementation.
    • Ensure that programs focus on and provide formal and non-formal learning opportunities for adolescent girls and boys that build the skills and know ledge required for employability and entrepreneurship and promote programs and approaches nurturing adolescents as innovators and critical thinkers.
    • S/He will facilitate the implementation of the adolescent safe space model which will use a small group approach to reach adolescents aged 10-19 with age- segmented content with a primary focus on 10-14.
    • Facilitate the activities of the Adolescent and Young peoples in area of OVC preventive program at the AYP Hub
    • Provide technical support and build capacity of program teams, supported health facility teams, CSOs/CBOs, and other partners in integrating providing care and support services to the AYP.
    • Provide technical guidance during the development of program annual work plan and participates in the planning and budgeting activities.
    • Support management of project finances and other resources related to implementation of activities in the assigned state in line with the project’s finance guidelines.
    • Design and/or adapt communication strategies that target Adolescents Young People to create behavior change in the community.
    • Develop plans for promoting risk reduction and health seeking behaviors among Adolescents & Young People
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • A University Degree in one of the following fields is required: Social Science, Public Health, Development Studies, Public Policy, Human Rights, Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Communication, or another relevant technical field.
    • A minimum of one year of professional experience in development planning and management of adolescent programming and young people’s participation or related areas is required.
    • Interested Applicants must not be more than 23 years of age.
    • Relevant experience in an INGO and Local NGO is considered as an asset.
    • Fluency in English is required.
    • Skills using MS Excel, MS Access, highly desirable.
    • Strong data management and analysis skills.
    • Experience of dealing with difficult and sensitive situations in a professional manner.
    • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks, quickly find creative solutions to problems and challenges that arise and manage stress and time in a fast-paced work and fluid operating environment.
    • Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.
    • High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English communication.
    • Well-developed computer skills.
