    IT Officer

    Job Description

    • The IT Officer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the technology infrastructure within the oil palm plantation or milling operations.
    • This includes managing computer systems, software applications, network infrastructure, and ensuring data security.
    • The IT Officer plays a key role in supporting the operational efficiency of the organization by ensuring that technology systems run smoothly, securely, and are aligned with the company’s business objectives.
    • This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support staff across various departments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • System Administration:

      • Maintain and monitor computer systems, servers, and software applications to ensure reliable performance.
      • Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems, including ensuring that they meet operational requirements.
      • Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
    • Network Management:

      • Oversee the company’s network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, internet connectivity) to ensure stable and secure operations.
      • Implement network security measures and conduct regular checks to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats.
      • Collaborate with external vendors for internet service and network equipment management.
    • Data Management & Security:

      • Ensure the backup, integrity, and security of company data, including critical operational data related to oil palm plantation or mill operations.
      • Implement and enforce data protection protocols in compliance with industry regulations.
      • Manage user access and permissions to ensure appropriate access control.
    • Technical Support:

      • Provide technical support to staff and troubleshoot hardware/software problems.
      • Assist in the implementation and training of staff on new software or systems that improve operational efficiency.
      • Maintain an IT help-desk, ensuring that user issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
    • Software & Application Support:

      • Support the implementation and maintenance of specialized software systems used in the plantation or mill operations (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management, field reporting).
      • Customize and optimize software tools to meet operational needs.
    • Hardware & Equipment Management:

      • Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of computers, servers, and other IT equipment.
      • Track and manage the inventory of IT assets.
    • Project Management & Upgrades:

      • Lead or support IT-related projects, such as system upgrades, new technology implementation, and automation initiatives within the plantation or mill operations.
      • Stay updated with technological advancements and recommend improvements for enhancing operational efficiency.
    • Collaboration & Reporting:

      • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and offer appropriate solutions.
      • Prepare regular IT performance reports and highlight areas for improvement or investment.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
    • Proficient in managing network infrastructures, database management, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
    • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
    • Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection laws.
    • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and industry-specific software applications.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle critical IT issues in a fast-paced environment.

    Production Supervisor

    Job Description

    • The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations in the oil palm processing plant or plantation field activities.
    • They ensure that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and sustainably, while maintaining high standards of product quality, staff supervision, and machinery maintenance. 
    • The role requires coordination with multiple departments including maintenance, quality control, logistics, and field operations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Production Management:

    • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day processing or harvesting activities to meet production targets.
    • Monitor production output and adjust workflows to ensure maximum efficiency.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of production data.

    Quality Control:

    • Monitor the quality of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and processed palm oil.
    • Ensure adherence to industry and company quality standards.

    Team Supervision:

    • Manage and train a team of workers including machine operators, field workers, and shift technicians.
    • Ensure team members comply with safety, operational, and performance standards.
    • Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed.

    Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

    • Enforce safety policies and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Conduct safety briefings and incident investigations.
    • Ensure environmental compliance with waste management and effluent discharge procedures.

    Equipment and Maintenance Oversight:

    • Monitor the condition and functionality of processing or field equipment.
    • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.

    Inventory & Resource Management:

    • Track usage and stock levels of raw materials, chemicals, and spare parts.
    • Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultureor related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in oil palm production (plantation or milling).
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of palm oil processing techniques or plantation operations.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage shift work.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and ISO standards (e.g., RSPO, ISO 9001).
