    Junior Accountant - Data Entry

    Responsibilities

    • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
    • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
    • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
    • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
    • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
    • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
    • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
    • Assist with other accounting projects.

    Requirements and Skills

    • B.Sc/ BA in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
    • 3 to 4 years as a junior accountant
    • Excellent organizing abilities
    • Great attention to detail
    • Good with numbers and figures and analytical acumen
    • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
    • Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) are a plus but not required.

    Sales Accountant (Manufacturing Experience)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Managing financial records: Maintaining accurate records of sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
    • Invoicing and payment tracking: Preparing and sending invoices to customers, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding amounts.
    • Reconciling accounts: Reconciling accounts receivable and payable.
    • Sales data analysis: Analyzing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Collaboration with the sales team:Working with the sales team to achieve sales targets and address commission-related issues.
    • Compliance and reporting: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and preparing financial reports (e.g., sales reports, monthly/quarterly/annual reports).
    • Other accounting duties: Performing other accounting tasks as required.

    Requirements

    • BSc/ HND in accounting or finance
    • 5 years of experience as an accountant in the Manufacturing sector .
    • Extensive customer service experience.
    • Ability to increase customer engagement.
    • Knowledge of customer relations management software and MS Office.
    • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
    • Analytical and time management skills.
