    Process Engineer - Glaze Line

    Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi

    Role Summary

    • Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the glaze line operations to ensure smooth production, quality assurance, and compliance with safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise day-to-day operations of the glaze line.

    Senior Accountant

    Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi

    Role Summary

    • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance functions within the manufacturing environment.
    • This includes handling banking operations, import/export financial processes, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

    • The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources management – from recruitment and workforce planning to employee relations, compliance, and performance management – ensuring HR strategies are aligned with our operational and business goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Quality Controller

    Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi

    Description

    • The Quality Controller ensures that ceramic tiles produced meet required quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
    • The role involves overseeing quality checks across raw materials, production processes, and finished products to guarantee durability, consistency, and compliance with industry benchmarks.

    Key Responsibilities

    Raw Material Inspection:

    • Inspect raw materials such as clay, feldspar, kaolin, silica, and additives for quality compliance before use.
    • Verify supplier quality certificates and maintain documentation.

    In-Process Quality Monitoring:

    • Monitor key production stages including milling, spray drying, pressing, glazing, and firing.
    • Conduct dimensional checks (tile size, thickness, squareness, flatness).
    • Ensure proper kiln operations and firing temperatures to prevent defects (e.g., warping, cracks, discoloration).

    Finished Product Quality Control:

    • Inspect tiles for shade variation, surface defects, edge quality, water absorption, breaking strength, and abrasion resistance.
    • Conduct laboratory and physical tests (e.g., EN 14411, ISO 10545 standards).
    • Approve or reject finished batches before packaging and dispatch.
    • Maintain QC test reports, defect logs, and compliance documentation.
    • Prepare daily/weekly quality performance reports for management.
    • Support external audits and SON/NAFDAC/ISO certification processes.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Chemistry, or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in quality control within ceramics, cement, or building materials manufacturing.
    • Strong knowledge of ceramic tile production processes and quality standards (EN/ISO/SON).
    • Experience with laboratory testing and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, spectrophotometers, hardness testers, etc.).

    Process Engineer- Slip House

    Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi

    Job Summary

    • The Process Engineer (Sliphouse) will be responsible for supervising and optimizing slip preparation and spray drying processes in the ceramic tile manufacturing plant.
    • The role ensures that production is aligned with quality standards, safety regulations, and efficiency targets, while supporting continuous improvement across sliphouse operations.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Collect and evaluate sliphouse performance data to identify trends and optimize process parameters.
    • Analyze sliphouse workflows (raw material mixing, milling, screening, slip storage) to identify inefficiencies.
    • Maintain detailed records of slip formulations, mixing protocols, and quality checks using Excel and other tools.
    • Plan slip production in line with casting and spraying demands, balancing supply and storage capacity.
    • Apply problem-solving and project management skills to ensure safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and performance monitoring in high-pressure production settings.
    • Track and report KPIs (slip consistency, yield, equipment uptime) and drive continuous improvement.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks (e.g., chemical spills, equipment malfunctions) to safeguard workers and equipment.
    • Collaborate with HODs, managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure smooth production operations.
    • Maintain physical ability to work in factory settings (standing for long periods, equipment inspection, and occasional lifting).

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Educational Qualification (Preferred): Degree/HND in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years in ceramic manufacturing (Sliphouse experience preferred).
    • Industry Specification: Ceramic Manufacturing preferred; experience in Powder Metallurgy, Cement/Concrete, or Chemical Processing industries acceptable.

    Process Engineer - Press

    Location: Ajaokuta, Kogi

    The Process Engineer (Press) will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing press machine operations in ceramic tile manufacturing. The role focuses on ensuring machine reliability, process efficiency, product quality, and operator safety, while driving continuous improvement and minimizing downtime.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Track press equipment metrics (pressure, speed, cycle times) using sensors and control systems to ensure reliable operation.
    • Collect and analyze press performance data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process optimization.
    • Educate operators on press operations, mold setup, safety protocols, and SOP compliance.

    • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with company safety standards and regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years in ceramic or powder metallurgy manufacturing (press operations preferred).
    • Industry Specification: Ceramic Manufacturing strongly preferred; Powder Metallurgy and other manufacturing industries acceptable.
