    Instrument & Plc Supervisor

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for an Instrument & PLC Supervisor to join its work force in Nigeria.   

    • Responsible for assuring from Validation by COMPANY ICSS Engineer the accurate control, authorization verification, integrity and follow-up of all software and hardware for use in the ICSS and systems at the Power Generation Plant.
    • Guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment on site
    • Performs the diagnostics and trouble shooting in the ICSS and PLC.
    • Follows-up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems, for condition monitoring purpose.
    • Carries out, at the CSR request, any intervention within his field of competence.
    • Organizes on site, the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility.
    • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during preparation and performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility.
    • Manages interventions using the CMIMS SAP R3.
    • Enters intervention reports on CMIMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field.
    • Monitors the functioning of utilities and equipment placed under his responsibility.
    • Takes part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on site.
    • Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams, and actively participates in this himself.
    • Manages the team of technicians directly under his responsibility.

    The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

    • Technical Engineer / Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of Gas Turbines and auxiliaries in oil and gas production installations or power generation plant
    • A thorough, demonstrated understanding of plant operations, strong understanding of Gas Turbine and axial compressor, DCS, ESD, F&G, Field Bus, Field instrumentations, PLC, Bentley Nevada and online condition monitoring system, Mechanics, Hydraulics, Electricity and Electronics.
    • Understanding SAP/R3 PM modules as relate to Notification, work orders, PMs, and spare parts inventories.
    • Experience in Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, Health Checks, monitoring, PM and Corrective Maintenance.
    • Competent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products; Excel, and Word.
    • Solid knowledge of plant engineering and plant maintenance functions and how they relate to operations.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills in English Language. 
    • Ability to comprehend and apply technical information, including mechanical and electrical drawings (such as blueprints, P&IDs, single-line diagrams and schematics) to problem-solving situations and troubleshooting.
    • Ability to communicate and coordinate work on technical subjects with others across job families and with outside vendors.
    • Must have proven ability as a leader of small team. Perfectly competent and independent in his field, he must show common sense and organizational ability.

    Diversity Program & PTM Communications Officer

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Diversity Program & PTM Communications Officer to join its work force in Nigeria. 

    Activities:

    PTM and Diversity Programs

    • Promote Diversity and Inclusion in the work environment at least 4 programs per year
    • Interact and promote good relations and practices with the workforce to improve engagement and workplace well being
    • Organize and communicate events and projects in line with required agreements and PTM guidelines
    • Organize Diversity workshops and campaigns and ensure active participation

    Communications

    • Prepare newsletters and promotional material in line with the communication and engagement strategy of COMPANY, PTM division and the Diversity and Inclusion department
    • Utilize appropriate and available communication channels to ensure key messages reach the appropriate target audiences at agreed intervals and in line with key divisional objectives
    • Communicate and raise awareness in all the areas of Diversity and Inclusion.
    • Assist with reviews of studies and surveys, publish results as it concerns Diversity and PTM on the PTM Web portal and COMPANY WAT portal
    • Ensure contents on the PTM web portal is accurate and up to date by regularly reviewing the web pages and
      working with the Workplace wellbeing and governance Lead to coordinate and update when necessary
    • Attend events organized by other IOCs, Downstream etc. to share experiences and improve areas of Diversity & Inclusion
    • Maintain archive of records/information published
    • Cost Efficiency
    • Adherence to the Group’s cost reduction and management philosophy without a negative impact on quality and relevance
    • Generates data and analysis on associated costs from the diversity campaigns and proposes improvement and cost optimization initiatives

    Profile

    • A graduate in the Arts or Humanities or Social Sciences with 3-6 years post qualification experience, preferably in Human resources or External Relations. Oil and Gas industry experience an added advantage.
    • Good problem solving, innovative, communication, presentation and analytical skills and, proficiency in MS tools is required
    • Relationship and team building skills essential to working relationships with staff of diverse ethnic and international background
