    Area Sales Coordinator

    Location: North Central

    Reports To: Regional Sales Coordinator

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Area Sales Coordinator will be responsible for driving market growth, executing commercial strategies, and managing day-to-day sales activities within North central (Niger State and its surrounding territories). This role demands a proactive, results-oriented sales professional who can expand our distribution footprint, build lasting relationships with key distributors and retailers, and lead a localized field team to meet aggressive volume and revenue targets.

    The ideal candidate must possess an intimate understanding of the market dynamics, cultural nuances, and trade channels within North central and its environs, backed by a proven track record of hitting sales targets in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), manufacturing, or agricultural sectors.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Territory Management & Market Expansion

    • Take full ownership of sales performance, volume growth, and market share acceleration within the States and adjoining trade clusters.
    • Identify, recruit, and onboard high-performing distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners to widen product accessibility and market penetration.
    • Map out efficient journey plans and route-to-market strategies for optimal market coverage and minimal logistics turnaround times.

    Sales Activity Execution & Order Management

    • Coordinate the daily sales pipeline, ensuring consistent order generation, tracking processing times, and monitoring timely product deliveries to open-market trade partners.
    • Monitor distributor inventory levels closely, implementing stock-push strategies to prevent product out-of-stock scenarios.
    • Direct local trade marketing initiatives, activations, and merchandising setups to maximize product visibility and brand presence at the point of sale.

    Financial Accountability & Credit Control

    • Ensure strict adherence to the company\'s credit policy, taking direct responsibility for the prompt collection of payments and minimizing outstanding receivables.
    • Reconcile distributor accounts regularly in coordination with the regional finance and accounts desk.

    Market Intelligence & Reporting

    • Gather and analyze real-time competitive intelligence, including competitor pricing strategies, new product entries, and changing consumer preferences within the territory.
    • Compile and submit structured weekly and monthly sales forecasts, route-compliance evaluations, and territory performance reports to the Regional Sales Coordinator.

    JOB SPECIFICATION (CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS)

    Experience & Territorial Expertise

    • Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of verified field sales experience, preferably within the FMCG, manufacturing, packaging, or agricultural commodities sector.
    • Geographical Knowledge: Deep, operational familiarity with the commercial landscape, major markets, and trade networks in North central and its environs (Niger, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Abuja e.t.c.). Existing relationships with major distributors in this region will be a massive advantage.

    Educational Background & Academic Qualifications

    • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Marketing and other related field.
    • Professional membership or certifications with bodies like the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) or similar sales institutions will be an added advantage.

    Key Competencies & Professional Attributes

    • Negotiation & Persuasion Skills: Exceptional capability to pitch products, secure high-volume commitments, and manage complex B2B commercial interactions.
    • Numerical & Data Skills: Strong ability to calculate trade margins, interpret sales charts, analyze volume variances, and utilize Microsoft Excel for pipeline tracking.
    • Relationship Management: High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate relationships across diverse cultural frameworks and build trust with local traders.

    Mobility & General Requirements

    • Territorial Mobility: Must be willing and structurally capable of traveling extensively across the entire assigned territory within the states on a regular basis.
    • Driver\'s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and demonstrate clean, safe driving capability.
    • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; a strong command of widely spoken local languages in the region (such as Hausa or Nupe) is highly essential for effective market interaction.

    Maintenance Engineer (Plastics Manufacturing)

    Job Summary

    The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the maximum uptime, reliability, and optimal performance of all plant machinery, with a primary focus on injection and blow moulding equipment. This role demands a highly skilled, hands-on technical professional who can execute preventive maintenance programs, lead rapid troubleshooting initiatives, and minimize production downtime.

    The ideal candidate must bring a deep mechanical and electrical understanding of moulding technologies, alongside the operational agility required to handle complex machinery configurations safely and efficiently.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Machinery Maintenance & Reliability

    • Execute and optimize both scheduled preventive (PM) and corrective maintenance programs for all injection and blow moulding machines, ensuring minimum disruption to active production runs.
    • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults on manufacturing equipment, including proportional valves, pumps, clamping units, and heating zones.
    • Diagnose and service auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, material hoppers, granulators, and robotic take-out arms.

    Hands-on Machine Operation & Setup Support

    • Safely operate and test injection and blow moulding machines post-repair to verify process parameters, calibration, and structural stability before handing them back to production.
    • Assist the production team during complex mould installations, ensuring correct alignment, precise clamping force, and seamless integration of utility lines (water, air, oil).
    • Monitor machine efficiencies and implement modifications or calibrations to improve cycle times and reduce energy consumption.

    Spare Parts & Asset Management

    • Manage the inventory of critical engineering spares for moulding machines, identifying consumption trends to prevent stockouts of vital components.
    • Maintain comprehensive, detailed records of all maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, root-cause analyses (RCA), and repair costs in the engineering log.

    Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

    • Enforce rigorous Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols and other industrial safety standards during all maintenance interventions.
    • Keep the workshop and machine maintenance areas organized, clean, and fully compliant with factory safety regulations.

    JOB SPECIFICATION 

    Experience & Technical Expertise

    • Proven Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of verified hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or engineer strictly within a plastics manufacturing or automated moulding environment.
    • Moulding Mastery: Demonstrated, deep experience in troubleshooting and maintaining Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding machines (e.g., Engel, Husky, KraussMaffei, Haitian, or similar brands).
    • Operational Handling: Direct experience in handling and operating moulding machinery to effectively test, calibrate, and validate mechanical repairs.

    Educational Background & Academic Qualifications

    • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a highly relevant engineering discipline.
    • Professional technical certifications or specialized training in industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, or PLC automation will be a strong advantage.

    Key Competencies & Expected Professional Qualities

    • Diagnostic & Root-Cause Analysis Skills: Exceptional ability to systematically trace and diagnose erratic mechanical or electrical failures under tight time constraints.
