Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate the movement, deployment, and retrieval of all generator and light tower assets, ensuring timely delivery to and from client sites. The Logistics Manager ensures minimal delay of assets delivery, quick turnaround, and effective scheduling of generator operators for transport, setup, and return. This role is crucial in maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Deployment & Retrieval
- Plan, schedule, and overseethe deployment and collection of generators and related equipment.
- Ensure assets arrive at client sites on time, are properlyinstalled, and returnedpromptly after job completion.
- Monitor job orders and proactively assigngenerator operator/s for delivery and setup.
Team Supervision
- Directly supervise all generator operatorsand ensure they are followingSOPs for transport and asset handling.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safetycompliance during transportation and on-site work.
- Manage shift scheduling, overtime, and daily assignments.
Fleet & Equipment Tracking
- Coordinate with internal departments to confirm asset readiness (e.g.,maintenance and availability).
- Maintain real-time tracking of all assetsin transit or on-site by communicating with related staff handling the job.
- Report any delays or logistical issuesto management with solutions.
Client Coordination
- Communicate with in-house CustomerService reps regardingasset delivery times,access requirements, and pick-up schedules.
- Handle site access challenges or other delivery-related concerns swiftly and professionally.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, returns, and asset movements.
- Provide weekly and monthlylogistics reports to the Operations Manager.
- Ensure all delivery forms and asset report forms are fille, signed and archivedin individual asset folder.
Process Optimization
- Continuously reviewdelivery processes for speed, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
- Recommend improvements to reduce idle time, fuel consumption and Operators delays.
- Work with the Maintenance and Admin teams to improvecoordination.

Fleet Management:
- Procure, maintain, and ensure the proper upkeep of the company’s fleet of vehicles
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vehicle maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Oversee the acquisition and disposal of vehicles as necessary
Driver Management:
Supervise and manage a team of drivers
- Monitor driver performance and provide feedback on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Implement driver scheduling to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Routing and Scheduling:
- Optimize routes and schedules to maximize the efficiency of the fleet while reducing operational costs
- Ensure that routes are compliant with traffic regulations and prioritize safety
- Develop contingency plans to address unexpected disruptions
Fuel Management:
- Develop and maintain systems to manage fuel consumption and control fuel costs
- Monitor fuel purchases, consumption, and efficiency
- Implement best practices for fuel-efficient driving.
Compliance:
- Guarantee adherence to all pertinent laws, regulations, and company policies, especially those related to the safe transportation of power equipment.
- Stay informed about changes in logistics and transportation laws and regulations
- Establish and enforce protocols for drivers and vehicles
- Oversee the reporting and resolution of accidents and safety incidents.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDEX
- Average time vehicles spend off the road for maintenance or repairs.
- Percentage of time each vehicle is actively used.

- Assess driver performance, focusing on safe driving habits, accidents rates, and compliance with safety protocols

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field
- 2-3years experience in fleet management and administrative functions.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and compliance
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
