    Corporate Finance Analyst

    Job Objective

    • To provide analytical, modelling, documentation, and execution support on transactions, while developing into a future Senior Analyst / Associate.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Modelling & Analysis:

    • Build and maintain:
      • Integrated financial models
      • Project finance models
      • Valuation models (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions)
    • Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis.

    Transaction Documentation:

    • Draft sections of:
      • Information Memoranda
      • Prospectuses
      • Pitch books
      • Credit notes and investment memos
    • Support due diligence exercises.

    Market & Sector Research:

    • Conduct industry, sector, and macroeconomic research.
    • Prepare comparable company and transaction analyses.
    • Monitor capital market trends (rates, investor appetite).

    Deal Execution Support:

    Chief Investment Officer (CIO) / Managing Director (MD)

    Job Objective

    • The CIO/Managing Director will be the strategic, operational, and investment head of a newly licensed Asset Management Company. This executive will lead the firm’s investment philosophy, product strategy, governance culture, business development, and overall enterprise performance.
    • The ideal candidate is an investment leader who combines strong fund management capabilities with business management expertise, regulatory fluency, and the ability to build a high-performance asset management franchise from the ground up.
    • This is a role for an entrepreneurial, well-rounded professional who can develop the AMC’s investment products, strengthen client trust, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure full regulatory compliance with SEC Nigeria.
    • The CIO/MD will oversee investment committees, drive AUM growth, build and mentor the investment team, and position the AMC as a reputable, innovative, and high-performing firm in the market.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Leadership & Corporate Management:

    • Provide overall leadership and day-to-day management of the AMC.
    • Set the company’s strategic direction, organizational culture, and corporate performance framework.
    • Drive growth targets, profitability, and market positioning.
    • Lead engagement with the Board and implement all approved strategies and policies.
    • Oversee all departments—Investments, Risk, Operations, Sales, Compliance, Finance & Admin.

    Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management:

    • Develop the AMC’s investment philosophy, asset allocation strategies, and portfolio construction frameworks.
    • Oversee active management of equities, fixed income, money markets, alternatives, and thematic portfolios.
    • Ensure optimal risk-adjusted returns and adherence to client mandates.
    • Supervise the Research & Strategy function to ensure data-driven investment decisions.
    • Approve and monitor trade execution, rebalancing, and portfolio risk exposures.

    Regulatory & Governance Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary SEC-licensed officer overseeing Fund/Portfolio Management duties.
    • Ensure complete regulatory compliance, reporting, documentation, and license maintenance.
    • Lead all audits, examinations, and governance interactions with SEC, FRC, trustees, custodians, and regulators.
    • Chair or co-chair the Investment Committee and participate in Risk, Compliance, and Product Committees.

    Product Development & Innovation:

    • Design and launch mutual funds, discretionary portfolios, ESOP plans, structured solutions, and thematic investment products.
    • Drive product competitiveness through innovation, digital enablement, and market differentiation.
    • Ensure suitability, risk alignment, and regulatory approval of all products.

    Business Development & Client Relationship Management:

    • Expand AUM across institutional, HNI, retail, diaspora, pension, and corporate clients.
    • Participate in pitches, roadshows, investor briefings, and client meetings.
    • Build partnerships with banks, DFIs, pension funds, fintechs, and distribution platforms.
    • Strengthen the AMC’s brand visibility and investor trust.

    Risk Management & Controls:

    • Oversee enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks, investment risk oversight, and operational risk controls.
    • Ensure robust processes for market, liquidity, credit, and operational risk.
    • Implement internal controls, escalation frameworks, and investment guideline monitoring.

    Team Leadership & Organizational Development:

    • Build and mentor a high-caliber investment team (PMs, analysts, traders, operations staff).
    • Establish performance culture, succession pipelines, training programs, and effective talent governance.
    • Promote ethical conduct, transparency, and compliance across the organization.

    Requirements
    Mandatory:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
    • 12–15+ years’ experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, Portfolio Management, or Wealth Management.
    • Minimum 5 years in a senior investment leadership role (CIO, Head of Investments, Portfolio Manager, or equivalent).
    • Demonstrated track record of delivering strong investment performance across asset classes.
    • Strong understanding of SEC regulations, mutual funds, discretionary portfolio management, and compliance frameworks.
    • Proven experience building or significantly scaling an AMC or investment business.

    Preferred:

    • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance/Economics.
    • CFA, CIS charter, SEC-sponsored individual certification, or other relevant professional qualifications.
    • Experience working with trustees, custodians, auditors, and regulators.
    • Exposure to digital wealth platforms or fintech-enabled investment products

    Senior Analyst - Investment Banking

    Job Objective

    • To act as the technical lead, driving transaction execution, supervising analysts, originating deals with senior bankers, and ensuring high-quality financial, valuation, and transaction outputs across multiple mandates.
    • This is both a support as well as a revenue-enabling role.

    Key Responsibilities
    Deal Origination & Client Support:

    • Support the Head of IB and MD in origination of mandates (debt capital raises, equity issues, restructuring, M&A, project finance).
    • Participate actively in client pitches, roadshows, and negotiations.
    • Prepare and review teasers, pitch books, and mandate proposals.
    • Maintain relationships with lenders, DFIs, PE funds, pension funds, and institutional investors.

    Transaction Execution (Core Role):

    • Lead execution workstreams on live transactions, including:
      • Financial modelling (project finance, DCF, LBO where applicable)
      • Valuation analysis
      • Information Memoranda (IM), Prospectus inputs, Offer Documents
      • Due diligence coordination
      • Data room management
    • Coordinate with legal advisers, auditors, trustees, rating agencies, and regulators (SEC, NGX, FMDQ).

    Team Leadership & Quality Control:

    • Supervise Corporate Finance Analysts and Analysts.
    • Review and sign off on financial models, presentations, and reports.
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
    • Coach junior team members and build execution capacity.

    Financial Analysis & Structuring:

    • Design deal structures (tenor, pricing, security package, covenants).
    • Perform scenario, sensitivity, and stress testing.
    • Support credit committees and investment committees.

    Internal & Regulatory Responsibilities:

    • Support SEC/ filings, approvals, and post-transaction reporting.
    • Maintain transaction documentation and audit trails.

    Experience & Profile

    • 6 - 10 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or/and transaction advisory.
    • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
    • Track record of closed transactions (not just pitches).
    • CFA, ACA, or MBA is a strong advantage.
