KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have the clout to be closing funding gaps when they exist.
• Provide guiding principles to the business planning process in the company to ensure consistent assumptions are built into the business plan.
• Capacity to attract transactions that could buoy the liquidity position and quality of visible asset.
• Prepare and present periodic financial and management reports that are complete, accurate and timely inclusive of balance sheet controls and financial interpretation and controls to the management team.
• Manage the budgeting process.
• Establish relationships with external key stakeholders such as banks and other relevant bodies.
• Lead the implementation of financial controls and procedures that are necessary for successful prevention, detection and resolution of errors in the business’s accounting records.
• Ensure compliance and implementation of accounting policies and regulatory requirements to achieve the business’s overall goals and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; ACCA or CFA a plus
• Experience in Financial institutions is a must.
• 7 years of proven hands-on experience in accounting and/or financial analysis in a senior management role.
• Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
• Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
• Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to strike a balance between the profitability and liquidity objective of a finance firm employing your knowledge, network and clout.
• Experience with any of the big 4 Financial Advisory/Accounting firms will be an advantage

Requirements

A successful candidate for Group Head, Business Development role should have knowledge and clout in Liability & Risk asset growth along with various prerequisite skills and qualifications to handle their job duties effectively, including:

• M.Sc. or other qualifications in Business.
• Experience in Sales (7 Years’ Experience) with knowledge and clout in the Liability and risk asset growth (which is very key).
• Strong customer service and selling skills for generating leads and mobilizing funds.
• Advanced presentation and persuasive skills (Demonstrable use of Presentation tools like Power Point).
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication and people skills for building meaningful relationships with clients.
• Extensive knowledge of productivity tools and software.
• Attention to detail and organization skills for honing in on each necessary task
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in retail product development of any of the choice banks will be an advantage.
