    Trust Officer (Private Trust Services)

    This role is responsible for drafting testamentary wills, trusts, and other legal documents, such as powers of attorney, and handling nearly all aspects of administering clients’ estate and assets.

    Job Details

    • Conduct of private clients and related matters on behalf of the company 
    • Work closely with clients’ attorneys and other advisors in the drafting of trusts and other legal documents, working collaboratively to ensure that trust accounts accepted by the company are governed by documents that adhere to the company’s Standard Operating Manuals (“SOPs”). 
    • Review other documents, including partnership agreements and operating agreements, to ascertain conformity with the company’s SOPs. 
    • Draft release agreements and other documents relating to the opening, administration, and closing of trust accounts 
    • Prepare Trust Summaries 
    • Review Distribution Memos and Funds Transfer Forms, and work with Estate Administrators and/or Executors to ensure that the company has received and analyzed all information and documentation necessary to make an informed decision regarding making transfers of assets from trust accounts 
    • Review all documents that are for the signature of the company’s Authorized Signatories 
    • Adhere to all of the company’s policies and procedures and ensure that support personnel also do so 
    • Keep records of all documentation, invoices, receipts, ledgers, and bank account statements. All documents related to the sale, transfer, or other dispositions of trust/Estate assets.

    Requirements

    Educational Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
    • A Master’s degree in Law (LLM), Finance, Trusts & Estates, or Wealth Management is an advantage.
    • Professional certifications in trust, estate, or wealth management (e.g., STEP – Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, ICSA – Chartered Secretary, CFA) are preferred.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in private trust services, estate administration, or wealth management.
    • Hands-on experience in drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related legal documents.
    • Experience working with high-net-worth clients and managing complex portfolios of trust and estate assets.
    • Exposure to regulatory compliance, KYC/AML procedures, and corporate governance.
    • Experience liaising with external advisors, including attorneys, accountants, financial planners, and regulators.

    Trust Officer (Public Trust - Commercial Services)

    We are hiring!!! Grayson's Trust, a trustee subsidiary of Norrenberger Financial Group is seeking to hire a Public Trust Officer. This role is responsible for daily administration of National and Sub-national bonds, liaising closely with Fund managers, Bondholders and intermediaries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bonds and CIS management, managing existing clients and ensure effective execution of Trust Service mandates.

    Job Details

    • Provides Trustee and legal secretarial support services on Bonds and CIS transactions
    • Ensure public accountability, such as conducting internal financial, legal, and management audits of bond transactions periodically.
    •  Ensure efficient reporting and deduction of withholding and any other applicable taxes
    •  In collaboration with other Joint Trustees, facilitate annual reports and publications to the public sector regarding their assets and bonds.
    • Ensure the integrity of business documentation as required by the market and regulatory changes. 
    • Able to respond effectively, verbally and in writing when dealing with top dignitaries, government leaders/officials, etc.
    • Perform Administrative functions relating to public bonds, CIS (Collective Investment Schemes), corporate/private bonds, and prepare reports. 

    Requirements

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Law (LLM), Finance, Investment Management, or Wealth Management is an advantage.
    • Professional certifications such as CFA, ICSA (Chartered Secretary), STEP, or Securities/Trust certifications are preferred

    Professional Experience:

    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trust services, public bonds administration, or collective investment schemes.
    • Experience in administering government bonds (FGN, State), private bonds, and CIS.
    • Hands-on experience with bond transactions documentation, including trust deeds, prospectuses, pricing supplements, custody agreements, and vending agreements.
    • Experience working with joint trustees, regulators, and fund managers.
    • Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and audit processes related to public trust assets.
    • Exposure to tax withholding, deductions, and regulatory reporting requirements.
