Job Summary
The MD/CEO & Co-Owner will serve as the strategic and operational leader of a diversified travel and tourism enterprise encompassing corporate travel management, leisure and tour operations, logistics, ticketing, destination management, and related travel technology services.
As both a leader and equity partner, the MD/CEO & Co-Owner will drive business growth, operational excellence, financial sustainability, and digital transformation while aligning corporate strategy with long-term shareholder value creation.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial executive with strong knowledge of the Nigerian and global travel markets, deep industry relationships, and a proven ability to lead multi-business operations and deliver profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Ownership Alignment
- Co-develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic vision and investment roadmap with fellow co-owners.
- Translate ownership goals into actionable business strategies and operational objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of business models that enhance brand value, scalability, and competitive positioning.
- Foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and accountability aligned with co-ownership principles.
Business Expansion & Market Growth
- Identify new business opportunities within Nigeria and internationally across corporate travel, tourism, and logistics segments.
- Drive revenue diversification through innovation in products, destinations, and digital channels.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with airlines, hotels, embassies, and tourism boards.
- Lead market expansion efforts into regional and international travel corridors.
Financial & Investment Stewardship
- Oversee company-wide financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Ensure profitability, cash flow efficiency, and sound return on investment (ROI) for all business units.
- Present quarterly and annual performance reports to co-owners and investors.
- Manage equity interests and reinvestment strategies that strengthen long-term enterprise value.
Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation
- Lead digital modernization initiatives, including online booking systems, CRM integration, and automation of travel processes.
- Streamline operations across ticketing, logistics, and tour management for maximum efficiency.
- Establish measurable standards for customer experience, service delivery, and turnaround time.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management
- Maintain strategic relationships with IATA, NCAA, NTDC, and relevant tourism and aviation regulatory bodies.
- Ensure 100% compliance with local and international laws governing the travel and tourism industry.
- Represent the company in key industry forums, investor meetings, and public relations engagements.
Leadership & Organizational Culture
- Lead and mentor the executive management team and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Promote an inclusive, high-performance culture that supports employee growth and retention.
- Oversee succession planning, talent development, and performance management frameworks.
Please note that your employment is subject to a periodic performance contract with clearly defined Key Result Areas and Key Performance Indicators.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, or logistics sectors.
- Proven success in business growth, investment oversight, and digital transformation.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian and international travel regulations (IATA, NCAA, NTDC, Immigration laws).
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and financial literacy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
