    Communications Officer - Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation (AAF)

    Job Description

    The job holder will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies to enhance AAF’s online presence and brand awareness, which includes curating content and designing graphics to optimize engagement and reach.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Develop engaging, creative, and high-quality content, for the AAF website and tailor to each social media platform.
    • Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Establish effective and consistent communication with project stakeholders to receive pictures, updates, and activities to develop engaging content for AAF’s social media accounts.
    • Develop and design logos, graphics and communication material for AAF.
    • Oversee the day-to-day management of all social media platforms and maintain presence (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn etc.).
    • Coordinate website management with the third-party agency.
    • Schedule and publish posts, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging.
    • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
    • Develop reports on AAF project activities.

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    • A bachelor’s degree from a reputable tertiary institution.
    • 2-3 Years’ experience in Social Media Management and Graphics Design.
    • Good team orientation and the ability to work at all levels within the organization and external network.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Brand and Corporate Communications Officer

    JOB PURPOSE

    Assists in the implementation of initiatives that boost Matrix Energy Group's brand visibility and engagement with its target audience. This role is also responsible for operational execution of internal and external communications through various media and communication channels.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Assists in the creation and maintenance of brand collateral such as brochures, presentations, and other promotional materials
    • Ensures that marketing materials and communications adhere to the Matrix Energy Group brand guidelines
    • Assists in the planning and creation of content for various communication channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases
    • Manages the content calendar and schedules posts across different platforms to ensure consistent, timely and appropriate brand image for Matrix Energy
    • Supports the development and implementation of social media strategies in Matrix Energy to enhance brand visibility and engagements
    • Manages and updates Matrix Energy’s social media accounts such as responding to comments and messages
    • Keeps record of social media accounts, privacy and security details
    • Tracks social media metrics and prepares reports to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns for Matrix Energy Group
    • Assists in the drafting and distribution of press releases to media outlets
    • Monitors media coverage and compiles daily or weekly media reports
    • Assists in organization and management of media events, press conferences, and other public relations activities
    • Assists in the development and distribution of newsletters, emails, and other communication materials to keep Matrix Energy employees informed and engaged
    • Keeps record of and analyses feedback from stakeholders to improve communication strategies in Matrix Energy
    • Assists in the production of annual reports, sustainability reports, and other corporate publications
    • Assists in planning and executing corporate events, conferences, and community engagement activities
    • Research industry trends and market conditions to support strategic decision-making
    • Tracks expenses for branding and communication activities in Matrix Energy Group
    • Coordinates with external vendors and agencies to produce marketing materials and services
    • Maintains records of all communication activities, materials, and correspondences in Matrix Energy Group
    • Ensures that all communications comply with industry regulations and Matrix Energy Group’s policies
    • Performs any other task assigned by the Head, Corporate Services.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
    • Professional certification such as CIM is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Brands and Communications related roles
    • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is an added advantage.
    • Hands-on experience with infographics and graphics design

    SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

    • Good understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, challenges, opportunities, legislation, and best practices relating to the Oil & Gas industry
    • Ability to develop and implement brand and communications policies and procedures
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Familiarity with communication and marketing tools such Adobe Creative Suite and content management systems (CMS)
    • Excellent writing and editing skills for creating press releases, articles, social media posts, and internal communications
    • Strong verbal communication for interacting with media, stakeholders, and internal teams
    • Good understanding of brand strategy and ability to maintain brand consistency across all channels
    • Ability to create engaging and relevant content for various platforms
    • Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing and communication campaigns
    • Proficiency in managing social media platforms and understanding social media metrics and analytics
    • Ability to analyze data to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns
    • Basic graphic design skills to create visual content using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva

    People Services Supervisor

    JOB PURPOSE

    The job holder will oversee the activities of HRBPs and provide strategic leadership to drive HR initiatives in line with the goals and objectives of the different Business Units in Matrix Energy Group. This job holder also liaises with Strategic Business Unit heads and top management to plan people initiatives and proffer solutions to human capital management challenges.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Oversees the strategic planning and implementation of business objectives at the various SBUs (Strategic Business Units)
    • Leads a team of HRBPs, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities
    • Manages the recruitment process for business unit heads and members of top management
    • Sits in interview panels of recruitment process for full time employees in Matrix Energy Group
    • Participates in disciplinary committees and other audit inaugurated teams in relation to the people of Matrix Energy group
    • Serves as a faculty member for trainings and onboarding programs for new employees in Matrix Energy
    • Collaborates with the Learning and Development team on the identified learning gaps and improvement areas for subordinates
    • Presents statutory aggregated HRBP reports to the management in line with existing policies in Matrix Energy and industry best practices
    • Collaborates with the Talent management team in appraisal processes for subordinates
    • Champions culture development and implementation across Matrix Energy Group
    • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on HR-related issues in the Group.
    • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Human Resources and Group Head of Support Services 

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field is required.
    • Master's degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required.
    • Professional certification such as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is required
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a Business Partnering managerial role.
    • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry or related field is preferred

    SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to drive positive business outcomes through HR strategies
    • Good understanding of employee/industrial relations and an appreciation of the dynamics of the labour and employment legislations in the specific country of operation
    • Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.)
    • Competence in overseeing and managing projects related to office-wide communications and change programs
    • Aptitude for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives
    • Excellent administration, negotiation and organizational skills
    • Problem solving and conflict solving skills
    • Strong leadership and relationship management skills.
    • Ability to deal with individuals in a multi-cultural environment, with varying levels of literacy
    • Excellent communication, presentation and Business writing skills
