Sales and Marketing Officer at Invent Alliance Limited

About the Role 

The Sales & Marketing Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, promoting bakery products, and executing marketing initiatives that support revenue growth. 
The role combines field-based business development, relationship building, and structured marketing efforts, working closely with operations to align demand with production capacity. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Business Development: 

• Identify, approach, and onboard new retailers, resellers, and corporate/institutional customers to expand market reach. 

Marketing Execution: 

• Plan and execute marketing activities to promote bread, pastries, and specialty products, including in-store promotions, product sampling, and digital campaigns. 

Brand Visibility: 

• Strengthen brand presence through social media, customer engagement activities, and on-ground marketing initiatives. 

Customer Acquisition & Retention: 

• Develop strategies to convert prospects into active customers and grow order volumes from existing clients. 

Sales Support: 

• Support sales targets through structured prospecting, presentations, and follow-ups, with focus on sustainable, repeat business rather than aggressive selling. 

Market Intelligence: 

• Monitor customer trends, competitor activities, and market feedback to inform pricing, product mix, and promotional decisions. 

Reporting & Documentation: 

• Maintain records of leads, prospects, campaigns, and conversions, and submit routine performance reports to management. 

Internal Collaboration: 

• Work closely with production, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure marketing promises align with operational realities. 

Qualifications & Skills: 

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field 
• Experience in sales, marketing, or business development; bakery or FMCG experience is an advantage 
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills 
• Creativity in planning and executing marketing initiatives 
• Ability to work independently and meet growth targets 
• Basic proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media, and reporting 
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills
