    HR & Admin Executive

    Job Summary 

    • We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR & Admin Executive to join our client's team. As an HR & Admin Executive, to coordinate and support all HR and administrative functions in order to assist in the smooth running of daily activities of the organization

    Job Description & Responsibilities

    • To manage and resolve all facilities issues and fleet management including scheduling maintenance of the company’s equipment, machinery and operational assets
    • To manage staff attendance and ensure correct and up-to-date information on all staff is maintained
    • Alongside the Head and HR & Work Place Dev Mgr to manage and assess staff performance, career progression, benefits, and welfare and to motivate and ensure adequate work performance
    • Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of our head office and other offices nationwide and to ensure that offices open and shut down with all attendant services functioning well
    • Regularly communicate and develop reports, work plan, time schedule and related problems to the immediate supervisor
    • Conduct staff recruitment exercise from identification, interviewing, selection to interviewing and on-boarding
    • To carry out manpower assessment and planning
    • Ensure compliance with all existing governmental and labour regulations and laws
    • Manage suppliers and their contract /erms of service
    • Maintain a contact database of suppliers, artisans, technicians, maintenance people and such other providers frequently used by the company
    • Ensure all electronic appliances are switched off at the close of work daily.

    Requirements

    • Experience: 2 - 3 years cognate experience
    • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or HND in a numerate discipline

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for an experienced Road Construction Cost Engineer to manage cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control for road construction projects.
    • The role involves analyzing project designs, assessing costs, and ensuring that the project adheres to budget constraints.
    • The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in civil engineering and construction financial management to deliver projects on time and within budget.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop detailed cost estimates for road construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
    • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine total cost estimates and identify areas for potential cost savings.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to refine project budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Monitor ongoing project costs, track expenditures, and forecast potential variances from budget.
    • Ensure adherence to cost control procedures and report on cost trends and deviations from the project budget.
    • Review bids and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency.
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify that work is being performed according to budget and schedule.
    • Prepare financial reports and documentation on project costs for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Assist in value engineering and risk assessment to mitigate cost overruns and delays.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for road construction and budgetary requirements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in cost estimation and cost control for road construction or infrastructure projects.
    • Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
    • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices specific to road and highway construction.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Familiarity with government regulations, contracts, and standards related to road construction.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles and financial controls.
