    Program & Finance Assistant

    Job Summary

    • The Program and Finance Assistant will provide essential support in the implementation of programmatic and financial activities for the project.
    • This role involves assisting with budget management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
    • Additionally, He/ She will also support program implementation by coordinating activities, maintaining records, and facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor regulations.
    • Maintain financial records, including receipts, invoices, and payment documentation.
    • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for review.
    • Assist in coordinating project activities and events, including meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of project activities and outputs, ensuring all documentation is organized and accessible.
    • Support the collection and compilation of data for project reports and evaluations.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to financial and programmatic management.
    • Assist in preparing necessary documentation for audits and donor reviews.
    • Monitor the timely submission of required reports by project partners and stakeholders.
    • Serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries and facilitate communication among team members and stakeholders.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for project staff and consultants as needed.
    • Support the dissemination of information and materials related to project activities and initiatives.
    • Support capacity-building efforts for local partners and stakeholders in financial management and reporting.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the successful implementation of project activities.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in program and financial management, preferably in health-related international development programs, particularly in HIV/AIDS or public health initiatives in developing country.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, NGOs and CBOs is required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
    • Understanding of donor regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Monitoring & Evaluation Associate

    Job Summary

    • The M&E Associate will be responsible for the implementation, and management of the project monitoring and evaluation framework.
    • He/She will ensure that program activities are evaluated for effectiveness and that data is accurately collected, analyzed, and reported.
    • The M&E Associate will work closely with project staff, community-based organizations, and relevant stakeholders to enhance program performance and support evidence-based decision-making.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework that aligns with project objectives and indicators.
    • Provide training and technical assistance to community-based organization on M&E processes, tools, and best practices.
    • Support data collection processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of program activities and outcomes.
    • Ensure that data collected is of high quality and meets ethical standards.
    • Develop tracking systems, and reporting templates to support data-driven decision making.
    • Manage and maintain databases to ensure the security and integrity of program data.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation in health-related international development programs, particularly in HIV/AIDS or public health initiatives.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, NGOs and CBOs is required.
    • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R).
    • Experienced conducting client satisfaction survey especially in health-related programs.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.

    Technical Associate - AYP

    Job Summary

    • The Technical Associate, AYP will be responsible for providing direct technical assistance to community-based organizations in the day-to-day implementation of project activities.
    • He/She will provide technical leadership for the delivery of peer-led and integrated HIV prevention, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health services to adolescents and young people at the community level.
    • He/She will ensure the fidelity of program design, adapt strategies as needed based on field feedback, and overseeing the quality-of-service delivery.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support and guidance to community-based organizations (CBOs) in the implementation of HIV testing and prevention, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health programs for adolescents and young people at the community-level.
    • Support the implementation of peer-led interventions, ensuring that services are diverse and meet the needs of adolescents in both the general population and key populations.
    • Support the integration of HIV testing and prevention services with mental health and reproductive health services at the community level.
    • Facilitate capacity-building efforts by training peer navigators and community-based organization to deliver effective, evidence-based services.
    • Support the development and implementation of strategies to engage and retain adolescents and young people in program activities, ensuring their active participation and feedback.
    • Collaborate with community-based stakeholders, local health authorities, and other implementing partners to ensure coordinated service delivery and program alignment with broader public health goals.
    • Ensure timely and accurate collection of program data, support data analysis, and assist in generating reports for internal and donor requirements.
    • Identify challenges in program implementation and work with the team to develop and implement solutions to address these challenges.
    • Ensure that all technical assistance provided adheres to national guidelines, ECEWS protocols, and donor requirements.
    • Conduct routine field visits to monitor program activities, assess quality, and provide on-site support as needed.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges encountered during implementation.
    • Support the generation of knowledge management products, including best practice documents, success stories etc.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar degree with 3-5 years public health experience including at least 2 years’ experience in programs for Adolescent and Young persons.
    • MS/MA in Social Science, Public Health or related field, MPH preferred, and a minimum of 3-5 years public health experience including at least 2 years’ experience in programs for Adolescent and Young persons.
    • BS/BA in Social Science, Public Health or related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years public health experience including at least 2 years’ experience in programs for Adolescent and Young persons.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, NGOs and CBOs is required.
    • Familiarity with programming for key population is required.
    • Good understanding of AYP peer-led interventions and DSD.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

    Project Coordinator

    Job Summary

    • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing program implementation, monitoring, and reporting on interventions carried out by ECEWS within the project.
    • H/She will provide technical and management leadership for the delivery of integrated HIV prevention, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents and young people at the community level, ensuring adherence to project strategies and documenting any necessary adaptations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that technical strategies, guidance documents, and SOPs are developed and implemented in accordance with ECEWS standards and Nigerian regulations.
    • Participate in the development of work plans and budgets, ensure adequate technical assistance for program operations, coordinate partner efforts in program implementation, and ensure proper program monitoring and accurate financial and programmatic reporting.
    • Provide programmatic and technical assistance to CBOs in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and execute a capacity development plan for effective program planning, implementation and monitoring.
    • Provide supervision for ECEWS staff, ensuring compliance with technical, programmatic, contractual, and financial requirements set by ECEWS and donors.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders supporting HIV, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health services, and other programs targeting adolescents and young people.
    • Serve as the ECEWS point of contact with government officials, coordinating and collaborating with public sector and NGO partners at the state level.
    • Provide technical assistance in reviewing or drafting implementation protocols, scientific papers, and program reports to ensure they are evidence-based, accurate, and aligned with best practices.
    • Oversee the activities of the CBOs engaged on the project, include periodic review of programmatic and financial reports from CBOs
    • Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites as needed.
    • Ensure effective management of all ECEWS assets and resources.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar degree with 5-7 years public health experience including at least 3 years’ experience in program for Adolescent and Young persons in developing country settings.
    • MS/MA in Social Science, Public Health or related field, MPH preferred, with 5-9 years public health experience including at least 3 years’ experience in program for Adolescent and Young persons in developing country settings.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, NGOs and CBOs is required.
    • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
    • Experience in designing and implementing of public health/international development programs funded by US government or other international donors.
    • Extensive knowledge of adolescent and young persons’ health and development programming in a developing country.
    • Demonstrated management, supervision, networking and leadership skills working with large, complex programs.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning, administrative, and financial management systems.
    • Demonstrated experience in undertaking high-level policy dialogue with different stakeholders.
    • Knowledgeable about HIV/AIDS, Mental Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, health systems, decentralization of services and related issues.
    • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
    • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and recipients of assistance.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.
