    • Serve as the named lead for all welfare and protection concerns, referrals, and disclosures
    • Ensure all staff receive appropriate welfare and protection training before working with students

    Resident Formation Mentors

    About the Role

    • Resident Formation Mentors are the daily formative and maternal presence in the lives of the students.
    • Each mentor lives with and is responsible for an assigned group of approximately 20 girls — accompanying them through the full rhythm of residential community life, from morning prayer to evening rest, while mentoring their growth across all five formation pillars.
    • This is a deeply relational role at its core: to know each girl, walk alongside her, and help her grow.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Live residentially with students and govern the daily rhythm of community life — prayer, meals, rest, hygiene, and household order.
    • Mentor and accompany an assigned group of learners across all five formation pillars.
    • Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins and structured formation reflection sessions with each student.
    • Monitor student wellbeing, physical health, and engagement, reporting concerns promptly.

    Lead Resident Formation Mentor

    About the Role

    • The Lead Resident Formation Mentor is the senior member of the Centre's formation team and one of the most important roles in the Centre.
    • She lives with the students, mentors an assigned group of girls through their integral formation journey, leads the formation team of three, and serves as the Centre Director's primary operational deputy in matters of student formation and residential life.
    • This is not a teaching role in the conventional sense. It is a role of accompaniment — of walking alongside young women, knowing them deeply, and helping each one grow into the woman she is called to be. It requires faith, maturity, warmth, firmness, and a genuine vocation to serve.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Live residentially with students and govern the daily rhythm of community life — prayer, meals, rest, hygiene, and household order
    • Mentor and accompany an assigned group of approximately 20 students across all five formation pillars: spiritual, moral, human, intellectual, and vocational
    • Lead and coordinate the formation mentor team of three, providing guidance, support, and consistency of approach
    • Serve as the Centre Director's primary deputy in matters of student formation and residential life
    • Coordinate the daily, weekly, and monthly formation schedule in collaboration with academic teachers and vocational trainers
    • Conduct structured individual review sessions with each student, tracking formation progress
    • Monitor student wellbeing across all three mentor groups and ensure concerns are escalated appropriately
    • Champion and uphold all student welfare and protection policies

    Requirements

    • A female Catholic with a mature, living faith and a genuine vocation to accompany young women
    • Experience in youth formation, mentoring, residential care, pastoral ministry, or education
    • Natural leadership ability — able to lead a small team with warmth, clarity, and calm authority
    • Emotional maturity, patience, and the capacity for compassionate firmness
    • Willingness to live residentially and commit fully to the community life of the Centre
    • Openness to being developed for broader leadership responsibility within the Centre
    • Completion of student welfare and protection training before commencement (training will be provided)
    • A Police Character Certificate and satisfactory references, including from a parish priest or Catholic community leader
