    Insurance Analyst

    Location: DIL HQ-Lagos, DIL HQ-Lagos

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Responsible for Underwriting/Claims of the General and Life Insuance portfolio for Dangote Group
    • The Insurance Analyst shall ensure that we gather the best quality information (data gathering) into our database to optimize our insurance portfolio through a coordinated Risk Management program.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Placement of insurance policies and prompt premium of all covers, including Motor Insurance for all Dangote Group BUs.
    • Continue to provide support for DIL on all insurance-related issues
    • Maintain all existing covers. Obtain and review all necessary documentation to this effect.
    • Ensure there is no gap in cover for all Dangote Group Motor insurance policies and specifically that only operational trucks/vehicles are insured.
    • Ensure the implementation of an effective process to ensure that non-operational trucks/vehicles are not insured. Zero tolerance for insurance of non-operational trucks.
    • Proactively manage reputational risk by improving and managing risk activities within Dangote
    • Transport division, while helping to maintain a strong corporate and public image.
    • Administration of insurance claims. Review and collate information required for all claim-processing documents and eliminate completely the issue of incomplete claim documentation on all policies.
    • Submission of relevant reports capturing the insurance activities of various BUs for management use.
    • Periodic insurance training programs on insurance policies, documentation, and claim processes, with the view to increase insurance awareness and ensure prompt claims processing and settlement within Dangote Group.
    • Render necessary support to all claim adjusters/Brokers/Insurers/Risk Surveyors to improve the effectiveness of the claim recovery processes within Dangote Group.
    • Follow up with brokers to ensure timely settlement of Motor claims thereby ensuring 10% reduction in claims ratio across all relevant BUs.
    • Provide support to different Dangote Plants as directed for the implementation of risk survey recommendations.

    EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

    • BSC/ HND in Insurance related field
    • Membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute Of Nigeria (CIIN) would be an added advantage.
    • 2-3 year’s experience in an insurance or insurance broking firm.

    Store Specialist, Inventory Control

    Job Summary

    Dangote Cement is seeking a Store Specialist, Inventory Control, to plan, control, and optimize inventory levels across the Obajana stores
    network through effective inventory planning, cycle counting, reconciliation, reporting, and enforcement of policies to minimize carrying costs and ensure timely material availability.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records in ERP/WMS and ensure timely posting of receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
    • Design and implement cycle count programmes and full stocktakes; coordinate with internal/external auditors during inventory audits.
    • Investigate and resolve variances between physical and system balances, and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Classify inventory (ABC / criticality) and recommend optimal safety stocks, reorder points, and economic order quantities in coordination with Procurement and Planning.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce write-offs, slow-moving items, and obsolete stock.
    • Prepare and present monthly inventory reports, ageing analysis, slow-moving lists, and shrinkage reports to the Head of Stores and Finance.
    • Manage store ledger reconciliations and collaborate with Finance for month-end and year-end closings.
    • Implement and enforce inventory control policies, documentation standards, and approval hierarchies.
    • Train store staff on inventory discipline, record maintenance, and cycle count procedures.

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in store operations.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Analytical mindset and strong numerical skills.
    • Attention to detail and investigative orientation to variance analysis.
    • Knowledge of costing and basic accounting treatment of inventory.
    • Process-driven with ability to implement controls and SOPs.

    Chemical Engineer (CCR Operator) Ibese

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR) To ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.
    • Provide relevant information and direction to patrollers and operators in the production line based on monitored operations in liaison with the shift coordination
    • Assist in implementing DIL’S approved production
    • Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety and compliance with prescribe standards and environmental regulations
    • Log in process data at specified intervals, documents and report operational activities accordingly.
    • Ensure smooth operation of the crusher raw mills, kilns and cement mills by providing constant feedback and relevant guidance to shift coordinators, Engineers, Patrollers and Operators in the execution of the field work
    • Inform patrollers, Attendants and operators of failures, potential failure or trouble spots and provide direction for problem solving.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with shift coordinators, Engineers and the section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary to ensure production resumes
    • Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement based on leading practises
    • Prepare detailed reports on the work undertaken in clear and concise manner
    • Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyors belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming
    • Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the section Head /HOD

    Key Requirements

    • Holder of BSc in Chemical and Processing Engineering or any related discipline.
    • At least 2 years of working experience in relevant position.

    Mechanical Engineer - Packing Plant - Ibese

    • Strong knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
    • Strong knowledge of safety practices and techniques in mechanics; and considerable knowledge of parts and supplies required.
