    Painter

    Job Purpose

    • The painter is responsible for performing skilled painting works in the hotel.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare surfaces by scraping, washing, calcimining, applying paint and varnish remover, and brushing metal surfaces with wire brush to remove rust and scale.
    • Mix and tint all types of paints.
    • Mix different shades of paints to get different colors.
    • Apply various types of paints to exterior and interior surfaces of buildings and structures by brush, roller or with spray equipment.
    • Prime walls before painting, patches and spackles cracks and holes, and glazes windows.
    • Assemble and disassemble staging, rigging of scaffolding.
    • Clean, repair and store paintbrushes, rollers, spray equipment, ladders, scaffolds, rigging.
    • Ensure to use masking tape.
    • Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE). An HSE booklet will be given to you.
    • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Health & Safety:

    • Ensure compliance of the Hotel’s standards regarding proper equipment usage, health and safety and accident prevention policy of the Hotel.
    • Attends periodic meetings with Maintenance Manager and department heads, conducts and/or participates in safety meetings at designated intervals with hotel staff.
    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies of the company with regards to PPEs.
    • To clean and maintain all equipment and work areas after completion of work to prevent accidents.

    Inventory:

    • Proper management of stock of supplies and equipment.
    • Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.

    Store Officer

    Job Purpose

    • To issue goods to appropriate cost centers and ensure all stores are organized accordingly.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist the Financial Controller in achieving the financial and non- financial objectives of the hotel.
    • To optimize the utilization of the integrated financial accounting system of the Hotel (Micros, Opera and Sage amongst others) and to attend training where necessary.
    • Overall management of accounting records and financial reports of the hotel.
    • Provide financial strategies to Financial Controller in business growth, development initiatives, major pricing, and other commercial decisions.
    • Follow the financial planning structures that are in place for mitigating any abnormal loses.
    • To ensure that KPIs are met completely and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE). An HSE booklet will be given to you.
    • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Store:
    Ensure the below procedures are followed:

    • Receive deliveries from the receiving officer.
    • Record them on their respective tally cards.
    • Follow the issuing weekly calendar and ensure FIFO is maintained at all times.
    • Make sure that all issue requests from the various departments are signed by the department Head, Cost Controller, Financial Controller and General Manager accordingly.
    • Issue items based on the issue request and book them immediately on SAGE.
    • Deduct the issued items from their respective Tally Card
    • Print the booking requests and fill them in accordingly.

    Restaurant & Bar Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    • You would be assisting the F&B Manager in providing the best service for the operations of all Food and beverage outlets and services in the hotel.

    Responsibilities
    Assist the F&B Manager:

    • To lead the F&B department to provide quality food and beverage operations as per brand standards.
    • Ensure buffet name tags are correctly labelled as per the food on display.
    • To identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all their concerns.
    • Conduct hygiene and cleanliness inspections in food & beverage outlets on a regular basis.
    • Training for waiters and waitresses
    • Attend daily restaurant, kitchen & bar briefings.
    • Control other expenses such as: service utensils/stores cutlery, grocery and glassware losses and breakages, cleaning and stationery supplies in restaurant and bars.
    • Reduce staff pilferage.

    Ensure the below are followed:

    • Ensuring the team adhere to all health and safety procedures.
    • Keeping records of all hazards and take appropriate actions.
    • Order supplies and maintain records of production.
    • Oversee the opening and closing of inventories.
    • Food is kept at safe temperature.
    • Practice frequent hand washing and Periodic disinfection of the restaurant
    • Right disposal of food waste
    • Guest Relations – ensure a minimum of 90% guest satisfaction is always maintained.
    • To ensure that KPIs are met completely and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE).
    • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Guest Satisfaction:

    • Conduct customers follow up calls periodically to ensure excellent service delivery.
    • Ensure excellent service delivery in restaurant, room and night service, and banquets.
    • Encourage feedback from customers on food quality and service and achieve over 90% guest satisfaction.

    Guest Service Agent (GSA)

    Job Purpose

    • Guest Service Agent role is to ensure that the guests receive the highest level of service from the moment of reservation till check-out.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • To optimize the utilization of the Property Management System of the hotel (IDS Next, Vision) and to provide training to all Front Office employees.
    • Abide by the Front Office Operations Manual
    • Abide and ensure all guest are registered on the loyalty program through Rate Tiger.
    • Follow the established reservations guidelines.
    • Ensure superior guest satisfaction by encouraging guests to review the hotel on Trip Advisor and Guest RevU / Kepsla.
    • To ensure that KPIs are met completely and on time.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE). An HSE booklet will be given to you.
    • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Reservation:
    Follow the procedures below.

    • Fill up the Reservation Slip Form with all the necessary information.
    • Print email and LPOs.
    • Input all details in IDS Next
    • Generate confirmation letter through IDS Next and send to guest or booker.
    • File all printed documents accordingly and send out the next day arrival documents to the Front Desk

    Check-in:
    Follow the procedures below:

    • All rooms are allocated prior to arrival and guests’ requests and preferences are taken into consideration.
    • Print arrivals list and pre-filled registration cards.
    • Welcome guests as per the hotel’s Standards, request for the guest ID and present the registration card for the guest’s signature.
    • Check, process payment and issue system generated receipt for guest account booking without payment.
    • Check-in the guest in IDS Next and activate the room key card.
    • Conduct follow up calls to ascertain comfort of the guest.

    Express Checkout:
    Follow the procedures below:

    • Inform all guests upon arrival that express check-out is available.
    • Process all outstanding guest bills for payment prior to checkout.
    • Email a copy of the zero-balance invoice to the guest’s email address.
    • Deliver a zero-balance invoice and a farewell note signed by the General Manager to the guest room prior to departure.

    Plumber

    Job Description

    • The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing items are used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in the hotel.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Select the type and size of pipe and accessories required.
    • Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
    • Install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
    • Assemble and install valves and fittings.
    • Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls/ underground storm sanitary and water piping systems / sinks, tubs and toilets/ water heaters and conditioners/ plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim.
    • Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
    • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
    • Ensure that all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
    • Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
    • Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE). An HSE booklet will be given to you.
    • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Health & Safety:
