• Guiding and supervising the mining operations at the granite quarry.
• Planning and execution of blasting, crushing operations.
• Planning and supervising the operations of the granite quarry.
• Ensuring and achieving daily production with specified quality.
• Ensuring daily and routine maintenance of machines.
• Maintaining the plant to have zero downtime.
• Should be conversant with MS. Office, word, Excel and AutoCAD.

Requirements

• Candidate should possess an HND / B.Sc. in Mining Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in granite quarry operations.
• Candidate living in close proximity to Kaduna and its environs is preferred.

Job Description

• Should be well versed with quality control procedures, testing procedures, compaction tests, etc.
• Knowledge of design mix and under standing and maintaining proper mix ratios.
• Inspecting all the work for proper workmanship and alerting the site manager for deficiencies.
• Should lead and enforce quality aspects on all fronts.
• Conducting daily and routinequality tests like compressive strength tests, Seive analysis, compaction tests, Slump tests, etc complete as per stadards.
• Maintain all field records for quality tests and procedures.
• Supervision of field activities as per approved inspection plans, making reports, issuing NCRs, and closing after corrective / preventive actions.
• Implementation of ITP at site as per approved frequency.
• Conducting internal periodical quality audits at the site.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or HND
• 3-5 years’ experience in the construction or mining industry.
• Good knowledge of civil design and installation methods for foundations, footers, and industrial or commercial buildings.
• Good communication, leadership, and initiative skills;
• Critical thinking and analytical skills;
• Must be precise, organized, flexible and autonomous.

• Operate the remote-controlled demolition machine(Brokk 200)
• Operate brokk(200) in Rotary Kiln
• Execute specific demolition tasks as instructed
• Follow safety regulations and take action to prevent potential hazards or obstructions
• Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met
• Maintain, repair and install replacement parts
