    Legal Associate

    Role Overview

    • Our client is seeking a Legal Associate who will be an integral part of the team, providing high-quality legal support across both litigation and commercial law.
    • This role is designed for a motivated individual with a passion for the legal profession, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

    Key Responsibilities
    Litigation Support:

    • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
    • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
    • Collaborate with senior legal counsel in developing case strategies.
    • Prepare and organize evidence, exhibits, and witness statements for trials.
    • Attend court sittings, client meetings, and hearings as required.

    Commercial Law:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
    • Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business transactions.
    • Assist in the structuring and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate deals.
    • Conduct due diligence on behalf of clients.

    Research and Analysis:

    • Perform in-depth legal research on diverse areas of law.
    • Analyze data to support case preparation and business advisory.
    • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to provide updated counsel to clients.

    Client Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and a high standard of service delivery.
    • Act as a liaison between clients and other legal professionals within the firm.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate records of case files, contracts, and client correspondence.
    • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and legal briefs for internal and external stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Skills
    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
    • The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of post-call experience, with demonstrated expertise or interest in litigation and commercial legal services.
    • Proficiency in data analysis is an added advantage.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
    • Strong understanding of litigation processes and commercial transactions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
    • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.

    Finance Associate

    Job Summary

    • We are currently seeking a Finance professional to support the Finance department.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis, managing the procurement process, and maintaining, timely collection of billings and receivables.

    Responsibilities
    The successful Associate will be responsible for:

    • Monitor accounts receivables and ensure timely collection of billings.
    • Manage and track budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information.
    • Work with the finance team to issue invoices, and purchase orders, as well as paying subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills.
    • Efficiently managing the procurement process including vendor and credit management;
    • Issue and pursue bills and update client records once payment has been received.
    • Support analysis and report assigned projects’ financial information.
    • Develop the financial position of the organization, provide financial projections and accounting services, prepare growth plans, and establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends
    • Advise and implement best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
    • Analyse financial data and present financial information that supports management decision-making.
    • Develop and update financial spreadsheets + reports with new data on a periodic basis.
    • Review existing financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Support the preparation of budgets, financial statements and other financial reports.
    • Keep track of the company’s inflows from internal and external sources.
    • Maintain records on the financial obligations of the organization (resulting through acquisition of debts).
    • Maintain excellent relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth generation and acquisition of inflows for the organization.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree finance, accounting or related discipline (professional qualifications will be an added advantage)
    • 2-3 years of experience in finance or a related discipline
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint (proficiency in Power BI will be an added advantage)
    • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations and practices
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

    Financial Controller

    Job Description

    • Our client is seeking a Financial Controller who will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to support the group's growth and profitability.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the group’s treasury, financial planning, and reporting, financing needs, and managing the Bills, Collections and Receivables.

    The successful Associate will be responsible for:

    • Providing world-class financial control for the Group, its Businesses and Projects (altogether, the Group).
    • Expertly manage the Group’s book-keeping and financial reporting functions.
    • Forecasting, preparing, presenting and implementing workable expenditure budgets for the Group on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and other longer term periodic bases.
    • Ensuring a world-class procurement (including vendors registration and vetting) process is in place in the Group and see to the strict implementation of the process.
    • Facilitating timely and auditable payments in the Group, particularly using the Group’s proprietary app which all personnel and vendors must be signed on.
    • Practically managing the receivables pool of the Group, by expertly ensuring that sufficient new bills are generated to enter into the pool and sufficient older bills are collected to avoid bad debts.
    • Managing receivables (trade credits), expectations and the cost-of-service delivery and in this regard, appoint and work with debt recovery agents to ultimately collect doubtful and or bad debts of the Group.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
    • 7+ years of experience in Finance role, preferably senior role
    • Professional certification will be an added advantage
    • Ability to engage and manage clients
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
