    Applications System Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • The Applications System Engineer primarily provides support to the IPNGN Virtual infrastructure.

    Specifically, the Applications System Engineer’s responsibilities shall include:

    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
    • Apply OS/Hypervisor/Firmware/applications patches and upgrades as demanded, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services.
    • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitioning and RAID configuration as required
    • Perform monthly performance reporting to support capacity planning.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve all operating system and application related issues.
    • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
    • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
    • Perform Server Hardening in accordance with the company information technology rules.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • Linux and windows servers troubleshooting skills required

    Data Center Operations Support Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Performance management and capacity planning
    • Development of operational processes for smooth running of the Facilities and to the satisfaction of customers
    • Ensuring continuous improvement of operations processes and procedures, such that they are highly effective and reflect industry best practice
    • Coordinate Change Management policies regarding datacenter resources
    • Assist in implementing service methodologies including but not limited to, incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
    • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance contracts for the critical infrastructure.

    • Accountable for financial activities such as detailed bottoms up budget generation and ongoing forecasts.
    • Work closely with support services to ensure all site requirements in terms of consumables and supplies are maintained onsite with adequate buffers.
    • Prepare and submit to DCOM for review, weekly and monthly DC management update reports covering all operations and incidents
    • Work closely with operations team and support services to coordinate fuel ordering and supply to ensure DC always has adequate stocks.
    • Manage and maintain the Data Centre store and spares, ensuring return/replacement of spares are done as at when due.
    • Provide other engineering supports to DC operations staff as may be required from time to time.
    • Participates in Engineering/ technical sessions aimed at Data Centre process improvements.
    • Performing other duties as requested by the Data Centre Manager /GM Data Centres.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • A good Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer science or related field is required
    • At least seven (7) years' relevant experience, with three (3) years in data center operations
    • ITIL Certification will be an added advantage
    • Demonstrated experience with DC Operations
    • Knowledge of Power, mechanical/cooling systems, and security systems will be an advantage
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office tools and presentation skills

    Credit Control Analyst

    Responsibilities

    • The Credit Control Analyst will be responsible for accurate accounting for all WHT deductions made by customers and follow up on outstanding WHT Receipts from customers & FIRS. Other responsibilities shall include the following:

     Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Reconciliation of WHT Receivable Ledger per customer
    • Extract WHT receipts from the FIRS portal and update WHT schedule per customer
    • Liaise with consultant to resolve issues on remittances yet to reflect on the FIRS portal

    Financial Planning Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Support in research and design analyses to evaluate strategic opportunities and deliver macro-economic assumptions for yearly budget.

    GNOC Service Desk Engineer (Level 2)

    Responsibilities

    • The senior GNOC Service Desk Engineer will be responsible for managing daily operations of the service desk, managing the service desk team, representing the team to other stakeholders, and helping to ensure that the service desk is constantly developing and improving.

    IP Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • The IP NOC engineer will be responsible for proactive monitoring of Transmission and IP devices across MainOne’s network through the support of Network monitoring systems, perform first-line troubleshooting/fault isolation, resolve where necessary and escalate to other levels for support in line with MainOne’s internal processes

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Monitor Main One’s network providing a specific update, status, and performance of all network components, capacity services etc.
    • Identify and provide at least first-line support on all faults on the Main One network in accordance with the Company’s standard operating procedure for fault escalation and management.
    • Maintain and ensure full compliance with all Main One’s NOC processes and procedures.
    • Ensure proper technical documentation of all network events throughout normal/shift cycles or operations.
    • Answer all network support related telephone calls and interface with internal/external customers on operational issues and related network events, using Main One’s standard operating procedures.
    • Run daily and weekly management reports on network events and activities as well as tracking escalations and other key performance indicators and ensure all customer SLAs are met.

    • Qualification: B.Sc / HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in the configuration, operations and maintenance of optical fiber SDH and wireless network equipment.

    Program Manager

    Responsibilities

    • The program manager will report directly to the Manager, Technical Solutions in charge of the Infrastructure Program.
    • The Program Manager will be responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure of the infrastructure program coordinating with the various Technical Project Manager:
    • Manage planning and operation teams and external contractors during the execution of the Submarine Landing project and other infrastructure projects
    • Organize weekly project meetings with all external stakeholder to provide weekly status update on the Submarine landing and other infrastructure projects

    Procurement and Inventory Officer

    Responsibilities

    • The Technical Procurement and Inventory Officer will be responsible for carrying out administrative activities within the Technical Procurement Unit, in order to support the procurement strategies of MainOne.

    Other responsibilities shall include the:

    • Coordinate the accurate completion of purchase requisitions from user units within the Technical department and other Non-Technical functions;
    • Review requisitions/purchase requisitions for the procurement of technical items, ensuring they are properly approved and within budget.

    • Co-ordinate and manage cost of sales requirements from the requesting units/departments;
    • Support the implementation and administration of inventory management policies and procedures across business jurisdictions.

    • Be abreast of the latest inventory management and material handling tools, technology and procedures.
    • Ensure appropriate authorization for the release of stocks as well as proper documentation for relocation of items;

    • Work with the Cloud operations team to provide 24/7 support to Cloud customers.

    Human Resource Intern (Performance Management)

    Responsibilities

    • The HR Intern shall support the implementation of the organisation’s performance management strategy and initiatives across all jurisdictions.
