Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Analyst, Financial Assets & Liabilities to join our Finance team. In this role, you will oversee, manage, and ensure accurate accounting, valuation, reporting, and control of all financial assets and liabilities of Dangote Cement Plc in compliance with IFRS, Group Accounting Policies, Nigerian regulatory requirements, and internal controls. The role ensures integrity of the Statement of Financial Position, supports funding decisions, and enhances financial risk management across plants and corporate operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Assets Management
- Maintain accurate accounting and reconciliation of:
- Cash and bank balances
- Trade and other receivables
- Intercompany receivables
- Loans and advances
- Short-term and long-term financial investments
- Ensure proper classification and measurement of financial assets in line with IFRS 9 (Amortised Cost, FVOCI, FVTPL).
- Oversee Expected Credit Loss (ECL) computations, assumptions, impairment reviews, and documentation.
- Monitor ageing of receivables and work with Credit Control and Sales teams to minimize bad debts and overdue balances.
- Reconcile bank accounts, loan accounts, and investment balances on a timely basis.
Financial Liabilities Management
- Manage accounting for:
- Trade payables
- Intercompany payables
- Borrowings (short-term and long-term)
- Lease liabilities (IFRS 16)
- Accrued expenses and provisions
- Ensure accurate recognition, amortisation, and disclosure of:
- Interest-bearing loans
- Bank overdrafts
- Bonds and other debt instruments
- Oversee effective interest rate (EIR) calculations and interest expense recognition.
- Monitor covenant compliance on loans and financing arrangements.
IFRS Compliance & Financial Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with:
- IFRS 9 – Financial Instruments
- IAS 32 – Financial Instruments: Presentation
- IFRS 7 – Financial Instruments: Disclosures
- IFRS 16 – Leases
- Prepare detailed note disclosures relating to financial assets and liabilities for statutory and management accounts.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with Group Finance on consolidation templates and reporting timelines.
Treasury & Funding Support
- Work closely with the Treasury team on:
- Loan drawdowns and repayments
- Cash flow forecasting
- Debt restructuring and refinancing
- Foreign exchange exposure and revaluation
- Ensure correct accounting for foreign currency transactions and retranslation in line with IAS 21.
- Provide accounting input for new financing arrangements and major capital projects.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Implement and monitor strong internal controls over financial assets and liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with SOX-style controls, Group policies, and segregation of duties.
- Identify financial risks related to credit, liquidity, interest rate, and FX exposures.
- Support Internal Audit reviews and promptly close audit findings.
Audit & Regulatory Interface
- Serve as key liaison for:
- External auditors
- Internal auditors
- Regulators and financial institutions
- Provide audit schedules, reconciliations, confirmations, and explanations as required.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and implementation of recommendations.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Supervise and mentor accounting officers responsible for assets and liabilities.
- Review work outputs for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Build a high-performing team with strong IFRS and financial control competence.
Education and Work Experience:
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- Professional certification in Accounting (ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- 10 years relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room (CCR) To ensure precision and adherence to standards in the cement production process.
- Provide relevant information and direction to patrollers and operators in the production line based on monitored operations in liaison with the shift coordination
- Assist in implementing DIL’S approved production
- Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety and compliance with prescribe standards and environmental regulations
- Log in process data at specified intervals, documents and report operational activities accordingly.
- Ensure smooth operation of the crusher raw mills, kilns and cement mills by providing constant feedback and relevant guidance to shift coordinators, Engineers, Patrollers and Operators in the execution of the field work
- Inform patrollers, Attendants and operators of failures, potential failure or trouble spots and provide direction for problem solving.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems, either in consultation with shift coordinators, Engineers and the section Head or independently when immediate action is necessary to ensure production resumes
- Continuously review the plant automation system and make recommendations for improvement based on leading practises
- Prepare detailed reports on the work undertaken in clear and concise manner
- Supervise casual staff to ensure all conveyors belts in the unit are clean and free from jamming
- Ensure cement and clinker production targets are achieved during respective shift
- Perform any other duties assigned by the section Head /HOD
Key Requirements
- Holder of BSc in Chemical and Processing Engineering or any related discipline.

Dangote Cement is seeking a Store Specialist, Inventory Control, to plan, control, and optimize inventory levels across the Obajana stores
network through effective inventory planning, cycle counting, reconciliation, reporting, and enforcement of policies to minimize carrying costs and ensure timely material availability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records in ERP/WMS and ensure timely posting of receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
- Design and implement cycle count programmes and full stocktakes; coordinate with internal/external auditors during inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve variances between physical and system balances, and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Classify inventory (ABC / criticality) and recommend optimal safety stocks, reorder points, and economic order quantities in coordination with Procurement and Planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce write-offs, slow-moving items, and obsolete stock.
- Prepare and present monthly inventory reports, ageing analysis, slow-moving lists, and shrinkage reports to the Head of Stores and Finance.
- Manage store ledger reconciliations and collaborate with Finance for month-end and year-end closings.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies, documentation standards, and approval hierarchies.
- Train store staff on inventory discipline, record maintenance, and cycle count procedures.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
