    Manager, Commercial Practice

    We are seeking to hire an experienced Manager for our Commercial Practice team. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to leverage their expertise while collaborating with team members to help clients maximize tax opportunities and deliver tailored, effective tax solutions that meet their specific needs.

    Job Details

    • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
    • Prepare technical research and provide advisory opinions on critical tax issues affecting clients' businesses.
    • Take a key role in supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to develop and maintain positive relationships with client personnel and relevant regulatory agencies.
    • Ensure clear, timely, and accurate communication with superiors and all relevant stakeholders.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to address and resolve various client-related tax issues as needed.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • In-depth understanding of the Nigerian Finance Act provisions.
    • Experience in preparing monthly payroll and processing employee data for clients.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, personnel, and regulatory bodies.
    • Proven leadership and project management abilities.
    • Previous experience in handling disputes arising from tax audits or investigations.
    • Thorough understanding of immigration compliance requirements.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels within the firm.
    • Proficiency in tax structuring, computations (including deferred tax), and tax due diligence.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 6 years in an accounting firm
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
    • The possession of ICAN/ACCA certification 
    • Maintain excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently, but also work well with others.
    • Excellent negotiating skills.
    • A minimum of a Second Class (Upper) degree from an accredited university.
    • A minimum of 5 O’ level credits including English Language and Mathematics at one sitting.

    Senior Associate, Private Clients & Family Wealth

    We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Associate within our Private Clients & Family Wealth unit. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with the team to provide a wide range of best-in-class services such as monthly payroll processing, ascertaining tax deductions, payroll tax computations, tax remittance, and other payroll tax compliance obligations, immigration services, etc. to our clients. The candidate will also play a key role in ensuring that our clients meet their tax compliance obligations by the relevant tax laws.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 O’ level credits including English Language and Mathematics at one sitting.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Sound understanding of the provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act
    • Previous experience in preparing monthly payroll and processing client employee data 
    • Sound knowledge of computation of payroll taxes and other social security contributions 
    • Ability to coordinate the remittance of employee tax and other social security remittances 
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, develop strong relationships with client personnel and relevant regulatory agencies
    • Strong leadership and project management skills.
    • Prior experience in resolving disputes arising from tax audits/investigations 
    • Sound understanding of immigration compliance requirements.
    • Competency in tax structuring and computations (including deferred tax), and tax due diligence.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
    • A sound knowledge of WHT, VAT, PPT, and other tax-related computations
    • Maintain excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent track record in project management
    • Ability to work independently, but also work well with others.
    • Excellent negotiating skills.
    • Ability to work successfully with multiple stakeholders across all levels in the Firm.
