Procurement Supervisor at Alpha Pharma

Job Summary

• The Senior Procurement Supervisor will oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, vendor compliance, quality assurance, and timely availability of inventory.
• The role requires strong analytical ability, vendor management expertise, negotiation skills, and deep understanding of pharmaceutical procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in coordinating all procurement activities from sourcing to delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Collaborate with the team to negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms to achieve optimal value.
• Ensure timely procurement of pharmaceuticals, consumables, and operational supplies.
• Monitor market trends, product availability, and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain, Finance, QA, and Warehouse Teams to optimize inventory and prevent stockouts.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, SOPs, and ethical standards.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency, transparency, and cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• 3–6 years post-graduation experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven vendor management and negotiation experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• A recognized supply chain certification is an added advantage.
