    Senior Wellhead Engineer

    Our client is a wholly-owned Nigerian company, established with a view to rendering quality Onshore/Offshore Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operation, and Maintenance services to the Oil and Gas industry in the West African sub-region has instructed us to fill the position below:


    Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

    Job Summary

    • The successful candidate will be the point of contact between COMPANY and Client on all technical and planning issues offshore. You shall provide technical solutions to issues relating to wellhead activities which shall include installation, testing, maintenance and servicing

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and Schedule work programs and budgets
    • Perform design reviews and supervise projects offshore
    • Perform design appraisal on various wellhead equipment and systems
    • Follow up of wellhead & contracts with Vendors
    • Cost, time estimates, and risk assessment of wellhead activities
    • Close co-operation with the Client, looking at the total solution for the interface of these rig with the wellhead and Company related operations
    • Preparation for and input to all procurement activities related to Wellhead services
    • Internal reporting to the QA/QC activities
    • Identification and follow up of technology qualification activities

    Qualification and Experience

    • Able to carry out root cause analysis on incidents and present report-outs
    • Experience in design (and preferably manufacturing also) of Wellhead Equipment
    • 7-10 years in oilfield operations including 5 years offshore and at least 3 years’ experience in a senior position. Wellhead Platform, Xmas tree experience wellhead installation, and maintenance experience
    • Good knowledge of the  English language (Verbal and Written)
    • BOSIET
    • Offshore Safety Permit (DPR)
    • Minimum of B. Eng. in any Engineering discipline
    • Demonstrated personnel management and leadership skills
    • Excellent Client relations skills
    • Working knowledge of materials used in wellhead equipment, namely AISI, ASTM , and BS, in view of API specific requirements

    Wellhead Engineer

    Our Operator Client is looking for a Wellhead Engineers.

    The Wellhead / Tree Operations Engineer will support the Platform Team with the planning and execution of slot recovery, redrill, and workover of Platform wells.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Manage the refurbishment/repair workscopes of existing stock Surface Wellhead & Tree equipment and tooling through the OEM and sub-vendors facilities.
    • Identify required long lead equipment and tooling to support future drilling campaigns. Ensure these are ordered and delivered in a timely manner to meet well schedule requirements.
    • Review and management of spares/consumables.
    • Ensure adequate inventory of spares are held in stock to support the well work campaign including any potential interventions/tree change-outs.
    • Review and provide input into slot recovery, drilling & completion programs to the drilling and completion engineers.
    • Ensure slot recovery, drilling & completion programs align with OEM vendor procedures and operational risk assessments.
    • Work with internal QA/QC team to ensure all quality requirements have been met during repair/refurbishment workshops and on new build equipment.  
    • Provide onshore operational support to the offshore team during well execution phase.
    • Contract focal point for all operational activities between Company and Wellhead / Tree OEM vendor.
    • Assist and provide support to the well integrity team in regard to any surface well integrity issues/risk assessments where appropriate.

     Required (Basic) Qualifications

    • Industry recognized academic qualification (degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline) or comparable industrial experience.
    • Preferable experience of Baker Hughes surface wellhead / CPW (Close Proximity Wells) systems.
    • Proven surface/platform experience within the Oil and Gas Industry is preferable.
    • Excellent communications skills both internally and externally at all levels and an ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships. Good team player essential.
    • Build and maintain a good relationship with various vendors.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams)

    • Should know basic cashiering procedures like handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, and processing gift certificates, cards, and vouchers.
    • Be responsible for billing/credit card/payment and collecting feedback from the guest.
    • Clear tables and prepare for service by polishing cutlery, glassware, crockery, etc.
    • Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas.
    • Return all equipment to proper locations, lock refrigerators, restocking items, turn off lights, lock doors, and complete bar closing checklist.
    • Stock and maintain the bar with all the required supplies and inventory (eg: beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice cubes etc.)
    • Always take responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience.
    • Take ownership of guest request and follow up guests incidences.
    • Attend daily briefings from management who will explain any special requirements for service.
    • To ensure a very good relationship between the Bar, other outlets, Kitchen, housekeeping, and Front of the House.
    • Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
    • Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by Supervisors or managers.
