    Brand Manager -FMCG

    Job overview

    You will play a critical role in growing the company\'s brand and defining the future of the company\'s brand, by supporting the launch of new products, whilst nurturing our core business across west Africa markets. 
    The ability to work confidently with multiple cross functional teams, including Local teams as well as Regional teams is fundamental to the success of the individual.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Development of a share and penetration growth-oriented marketing and category plan that seizes opportunities in product renovation, pricing strategy, competitor activities, customer/channel (e.g. convenience format, discounter) specific needs
    • Represent consumer (insights), brand strategy and product quality requirements on the cross-functional teams.
    • Develop and lead implementation of activation platforms and ideas based on the brand vision plan working
    • Translate marketing & category plan into a business framework and optimise commercial opportunities. Feed into monthly and annual planning processes.
    • Develop and implement 12-18 month portfolio roadmap including product range & quality, brand build, value delivery for consumers, pricing & affordability, range extension, ensuring incremental gains across the company\'s Savoury brands.
    • Pro-actively feed market, category and customer requirements into platform innovation projects
    • Champion optimal launch of innovation platforms
    • Work with communication team to ensure single minded communication message is created in line with the brand building communication plan, consistent with category needs.
    • Monitor and review effectiveness of innovation and renovation programme to inform future plans.
    • Ensure continued focus on and support of innovation platforms once launched.
    • Management of marketing budgets within agreed targets and align with customer advertising activities.

    Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

    Education / Certifications:

    • BSc/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • MSc/MA in Marketing or Business Administration is preferred.

    Job specific requirements:

    Minimum of 10+ years in brand management, with at least 5 year at Senior brand management level, previous experience in sales or trade marketing/activations is a plus

    • Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies and communication campaigns
    • Significant experience in the consumer goods sector, particularly in food products, is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in marketing software and digital marketing platforms.
    • Advanced skills in data analysis and market research.
    • Strong understanding of branding, promotional strategies, and content creation.
    • Exceptional communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
    • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Head of Sales - FMCG

    Job Description

    • Manage and develop existing customer relationships with key retailers while providing support with the development of Top retailers, including their Convenience business.
    • Extend the depth and breadth of distribution for our branded portfolio of both Impulse and Share product ranges with new and existing customers.
    • Although not a key priority, opportunities exist to partner with selected retailers to develop their own brands utilising our capabilities.
    • Devise exceptional joint business plans with key customers which deliver incremental revenue and profit growth.
    • Build promotional programs which maximise return on investment and deliver against business objectives, while ensuring investment is relative to scale or strategic importance.
    • Stay engaged with internal and external trade and market developments, suggesting new ways to drive revenue growth.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    Education / Certifications:

    • BSc/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • MSc/MA in Marketing or Business Administration is preferred.

    Job specific requirements:

    The Successful Applicant should have

    • at least 10 years customer management experience working with the key grocery retailers
    • A huge passion for selling, whilst being comfortable presenting, negotiating, and influencing at all levels
    • At least 5+ year at sales and product distribution and channel management, previous experience in sales or trade marketing/activations is a plus
    • Proven track record of success in management of trade partners and distribution network and executing sales campaigns
    • Significant experience in the consumer goods sector, particularly in food products, is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in sales and marketing software and digital marketing platforms.
    • Advanced skills in data analysis and market research.
    • Exceptional communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
