    Derrick Crane Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To operate derrick crane within its safe working limits.
    • To observe condition of wires and report any broken strands, kinks etc., to his immediate Supervisor.
    • To follow instruction,form designated Foreman on deck.
    • Operate equipment to lift and move materials, machines, or products in many directions.
    • Gives and understands common hand signals and connects to and lift equipment and materials safely.
    • Displays thorough knowledge of rigging devices and components such as wire ropes, chains, slings, hooks, sockets, thimbles, spreader bars, sheaves, rotating equipment, heaters etc.
    • Knowledge of proper use and care for tools and equipment commonly employed on an industrial construction project such as chain-falls, jacks, slings, choker, shackles, clips etc.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5 -7 years of experience as Derrick Crane Operator.
    • Should have several years’ experience in operation of cranes (particular large cranes) in an offshore  environment.  Would  be  beneficial  to  have  some  mechanical  background  to  be familiar with mechanical working of cranes.
    • Knowledge of rigging techniques for heavy lift operation is required

    Electrician AC

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The AC Electrician reports to the Chief Electrician and has overall responsibility for routine electrical maintenance and repair of all AC systems.
    • Installs power supply wiring for newly installed machines and equipment following electrical codes and blueprints.
    • Connects power supply  wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints.
    • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such  as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures using test equipment.
    • Test malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose the problem.
    • Replaces faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
    • Responsible for maintenance and repairs to vessel electrical equipment within a good marine standard.
    • Cleans electric motors and areas housing motors with solvent, broom, or vacuum  cleaner regularly.
    • Follows a continuous improvement process that includes familiarization with vessel systems and equipment, and taking advantage of any company-offered craft training.
    • Adheres to company health, safety, and environmental programs.
    • Adheres to company objectives, policies,programs, and procedures.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by his Superiors.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • PLB Vessel Experience
    • Valid STCW Endorsed Seafarer's Medical

    Electrician Foreman

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To resolve any problems of an electrical nature relative to Barge Operations and activities.
    • Will maintain General Alarm and Fire Bells in ready condition and organize periodic tests.
    • Will follow a preventative maintenance programme for all relevant equipment and systems.
    • To maintain equipment and job logs and important data related to temperature, hours and energy consumption
    • To advise  supervisor of any methods and / or procedures which would result in a more efficient utilization of equipment / systems and minimize downtime.
    • To be aware of all safety procedures, codes / specifications and company policy relative to all equipment / systems and to work within the parameters of same.
    • Follows a training and safety programme and attends regular safety meetings within his own group.
    • Installing,  testing  and  periodic servicing of AC systems, chillers and freezers to ensure that they are properly functioning.
    • Conducting all types of emergency repairs, maintenance, adjustments of important tools with the aim of maximizing operational efficiency.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Should  have  electrical  background  with  working  knowledge  of  AC/DC  generators  to  1500 KVA,  air-conditioning  units  in  35-60-ton  range,  power  distribution  DC  welding  machines, crane and winch control circuitry, basic electronics and radio-electric controls and hydraulics.

    Machinist

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To be able to operate machining equipment such as lathe, milling machine, drill etc., and to be conversant   with   machining   techniques   particularly   for   equipment   replacement   parts
    • Conducting all types of emergency repairs, maintenance, adjustments of important tools with the aim of maximizing operational efficiency.
    • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.

    Mechanic Foreman

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To  folow  guidelines  /  procedures  and  schedules  for  the  maintenance  and  check  out  of  all mechanical equipment and systems.
    • Responsible for maintenance and repair of the electrical, fuel, water, sewage, hydraulic and pneumatic  systems  aboard.  Preventative  maintenance  and  repair  for  the  barge's  cranes,
    • compressors, work winches, anchor winches and abandon-ship systems.
    • During pipeline operation will operate and maintain tension devices, conveyors, track shoes, davits, winches and hydraulic pumps.
    • Will maintain equipment logs, barge ballast / fuel / oil / water inventories and reports.
    • Follows  a  training  and  safety  programme  and  attends  regular  safety  meetings  within  his group.
    • To carry out such tasks / duties which may be assigned by his supervisor(s).
    • To be aware of mechanical equipment downtime implications.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Candidate should have previous experiences in offshore construction vessels and they should have experience with the listed equipment;
    • Engine Room –Main Engine Auxiliary, Propulsion & Thrusters, S-Lay Equipment, J-Lay Equipment, Diesel/Hydraulic Hammers, Turning/Milling Machine, Cranes, Anchor Winches, Hydraulic Systems, Internal –
    • External Lifting Tools/ Bear Cages, Welding/Brazing
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a 1st Engineer on board a construction Vessel, DP preferably
    • 3 years’ supervisory experience
    • Subsea construction experience
    • Valid STCW Reg. III/1 –Engineer Certificate of Competency

    Offshore Construction Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise  the  Project  Construction  Manager  and/or  Project  Manager  of  any  deficiencies  or clarifications needed.
    • To review, in co-operation with the Project Construction Manager and/or Project Manager, and agree the overall site programme for his area of responsibility including Sub-contractors’ programmes.  To  identify  any  problem  areas  in  the  programmes,  discuss  with  the  Project Construction Manager and/or Project Manager and agree a solution.
    • To ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, equipment, scaffolding and tools required are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of labour.
    • To  ensure, before any variation work is carried out by a sub-contractor  that  an  authorised
    • instruction is given by the Project Construction Manager and/or Project Manager.
    • To assist in the authorising or refuting of any claims by the Sub-contractor of delays, waiting time or abortive work.
    • To  ensure that all work is to  the  required  standard  and  that  all  drawings,  specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to.
    • To ensure that Construction and the Sub-contractors programmes are produced and monitored in accordance
    • To co-ordinate and report on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on all progress matters and problem areas.
    • To  constantly  strive  to  obtain  maximum  productivity  and  economical  use  of  labour  and equipment in order to keep costs withi

    • 10  years’  experience  as  Offshore  Construction  Manager  in  Brownfield  Repairs  and Modification
    • BOSIET / Approved Offshore Medical –essential for an offshore position.
    • MIST or CCNSG / Safety Passport.
    • Knowledge  of  the  Integrated  Delivery  Module  systems  and  Construction  Management procedures
    • APM Level D qualification, or above.
    • Management NVQ level 4 / 5

    Offshore Consruction Planner

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Establish work scope, quantity and logical sequences in terms of engineering, manufacturing and  construction  disciplines  relating  to  commissioning  and  decommissioning  activities.
    • Conduct field scoping to clarify scope as required.
    • Create WBS structure, and work with PMT and project execution team in the development of work  break  down  structure  for  progress  measurement,  scheduling,  cost  estimating  and
    • project control.
    • Prepare  and  manage  overall  master  schedule  integrating  work  breakdown  structure  using scheduling software; Understand contractual matter, earn value method, familiar with scope
    • management and change control.

    • Develop and update resource (manpower and equipment) histogram weekly or monthly as required;   Evaluate   allocation   of   resources   and   provide   recommendations   to   maintain
    • required progress; Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histogram/S curves). Reports and analyze deviations from plan.
    • Track,  monitor  and  forecastprogress  of  all  activities  and  deliverable  such  as  products, engineering documents, fabrication status and construction of all discipline.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience primarily in Offshore Brownfield Engineering and Construction. International experience is preferred.
    • 7 years’ Experience as an Offshore Construction Planner
    • Good  written  and  verbal communication  skills  with  the ability  to  communicate  at  all levels from management to field labor.
    • Ability to utilize planning tools such as MS excel, Access, MS Project, Primavera, Maximo, SAP and ERP.

    Radio Tower Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for operating  and  monitoring all Company commercial ship to shore communications via the appropriate means, i.e., VHF, HF, telex or Inmarsat, as well as Client
    • communication, if so required.
    • Monitoring thecorresponding “calling in distress” frequencies, where applicable.
    • Maintains  a  log  of  all  chargeable  communications,  as  well  as  collecting  monetary  charges
    • corresponding to non-business calls in accordance with the Company procedures.
    • Performs extensive clerical duties utilizing knowledge of systems and procedures.
    • Performs  duties  assigned  by  the  Vessel  superintendent  not  limited  to  keeping  track  of; personnel timesheets, Personnel On-board a vessel, personnel rotation tracker, liaison with crew coordinators for mob-demob

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of five years’ experience in radio / telex operation (telex FSK and TOR).
    • Possess a thorough understanding of H.F. & SSB propagation as well as knowledge of which frequencies are best suited for communications at certain times of the day.
    • Proficient in spoken and written English.
    • Capable of good typing skills and knowledge of proper radio etiquette.

    Tower Crane Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • During construction mode will locate barge in a position most advantageous for the stalking on and welding of pipe.
    • Monitors  movements  of  all  support  vessels  in  the  vicinity  of  barge  during  construction activity.
    • Will be familiar with use of radar equipment.
    • To continuously monitor readouts on all mooring equipment. To ensure that all equipment is operating correctly and that barge position is satisfactory.
    • Is  to  be  capable  of  operating  winches  to  move  barge  to  lay down  pipeline  and  pick  up  by constant tension, as required.
    • Monitors weather conditions.
    • Keep logs of all barge activities.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Individual must have experience as a Winch Operator and be familiar with survey procedures and equipment
    • Should  be  familiar  with  various  tug  boat  and  winch  capacities  and  be  capable  of  operating equipment accordingly.

    Warehouseman

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reports operationally to the Barge Superintendent and functionally to construction manager. Individual  should  strive  to ensure  thathis  warehouse  meets  all  requirements  listed  in  the warehouse check list. Ensures that personnel in the department receive the proper training and encouragement and are afforded the opportunity to grow and improve themselves in the area of warehousing.
    • The Lead  Warehouseman  is  responsible  for  the  day  to  day  operations  and  control  of  the warehouse advising the Barge Superintendent of any major problems.
    • As part of this responsibility he must ensure that the daily transactions of issues, receipts and transfers are properly documented.
    • His warehouse efforts must be centred around the DTE Warehouse Stock Status Report. This document  should  accurately  list  and  describe  all  materials  in  inventory  at  the  respective location.
    • The  daily  issues,  receipts  and  transfers must  be  posted  to  this  document.  A  continual monitoring  effort  must  be  maintained  to  ensure  that  any  errors  listed  in  this  report  are discovered and rectified.
    • To ensure that all stock is properly identified, tagged and grouped in such a manner that same is easily found and retrieved by the warehouseman, when requested by others.
    • To  ensure  that  the  warehouse  is  maintained  in  a  neat  and  orderly  manner  with  locations clearly marked on all rows of items.
    • Must be familiar with the items in the respective warehouse and know where they are located.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Should have a minimum of 5 years offshore warehousing experience or minimum 10 year of warehousing experience include both “Project type materials and repair parts”.
    • Should  be  able  to  supervise staff and teach through a “hands on” approach utilizing the warehouse procedures currently in use.
    • Should possess a general knowledge of filing systems and of computerized data input. If he has no knowledge of computerized data input he must be open
    • minded enough to understand and accept the system being used.

    Work Pack Preparator

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This position prepares work packs detailing the tasks that must be carried out in sequence on the Brownfield Modification and Structural Repair Project.
    • In defining the systems and limits, and system handover sequences are considered.
    • Pre-planning  the  base  work  scope  and  a  work  breakdown  structure,  interacting  with  the strategic  execution  plan,  from  which  work  packs can  be  prepared. The  work  packs  and  job
    • cards contain all that is needed to complete work that passes thorough testing and inspections for completion sign off.
    • Responsible  for  the  daily  selection  of  both  PM  &  Breakdown  work  orders  for  preparation following construction prioritisation guidelines
    • Participate in Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Safety Operation Assessments
    • Liaise with vendors, onshore support and supervisors to confirm dates and all requirements are all reflected where required in the work order
    • Responsible for ensuring all Job Orders constraints are managed, prioritised, scheduled and delivered as per target dates
    • Responsible  for  ensuring  all  constraints  are  managed  in  relation  to  rough  scheduled  dates and target finish dates
    • Responsible for determining planned man hours & updating estimate man-hours columns
    • Responsible for maintaining High Quality work orders to reflect real time work preparation status

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in similar position.
    • A core trade competence in either mechanical or construction disciplines
    • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment in the brownfield repairs
    • High skill in applying technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and identifying appropriate solutions in order to develop work packs
    • Skill  in  reading,  interpreting  and  applying  information  from  files,  drawings,  catalogues, reports and manuals
