    Talent Acquisition Officer

    REPORTS TO: Head of Human Resources

    SUMMARY

    Our client is a manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State, seeking to hire a Talent Acquisition Officer to manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing through onboarding. This role focuses on attracting, selecting, and hiring high-quality candidates who align with the company’s culture and technical requirements, while supporting both manufacturing operations and corporate functions. It also involves ensuring a positive candidate experience and building a strong talent pipeline to meet current and future staffing needs.

    LOCATION: Nnewi, Anambra State.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Partner with managers across departments (Production, Technical, Commercial, Corporate) to understand staffing needs, define job requirements, and develop tailored recruitment strategies for each vacancy.
    • Proactively source candidates using multiple channels, including job boards, social media (LinkedIn), professional networks, employee referrals, and recruitment agencies when necessary. Build and maintain a talent pool for critical and recurring roles.
    • Review applications, conduct initial phone screenings (where necessary), and coordinate technical assessments or tests to evaluate candidates\' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
    • Schedule and facilitate interview panels, ensuring a structured and fair selection process. May participate in interviews for junior to mid-level positions.
    • Extend job offers to select candidates, negotiate terms within approved guidelines, and manage the pre-employment process, including background checks.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, from offer acceptance to first-day orientation.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in recruitment tracker. Generate recruitment metrics and reports for management review.
    • Support initiatives to promote the organization as an employer of choice in the market, including managing the company\'s career page and recruitment-related social media content.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related fields.
    • Related professional certification is an added advantage.

    Head, Finance & Account

    REPORTS TO:  CFO

    DEPARTMENT: Finance & Accounts

    SUMMARY

    Our client is a manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State, seeking to hire a Head of Finance & Accounts to lead the finance and accounting function. The role involves ensuring the integrity of financial data, optimizing manufacturing costs, and maintaining strong financial controls, while converting complex factory operations into accurate financial insights that drive profitability and support strategic decision-making.

    LOCATION: Nnewi, Anambra State.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
    • Manage the Month-End and Year-End closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed within the corporate calendar.
    • Serve as the liaison for internal and external auditors to ensure clean audit reports.
    • Oversee costing systems, ensuring accurate valuation of Raw Materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods.
    • Analyze Production Variances (material, labor, and overhead) and collaborate with Plant Managers to implement corrective actions.
    • Implement and monitor robust Inventory Control procedures, including cycle counts and annual physical verification.
    • Optimize the Cash Conversion Cycle by streamlining Accounts Receivable (collections) and Accounts Payable (vendor terms).
    • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly Cash Flow Forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and capital expenditure (CAPEX).
    • Monitor credit risk and approve credit limits for major distributors and institutional clients.
    • Lead the annual Budgeting and Forecasting process across all manufacturing departments.
    • Perform Break-even Analysis and Margin Analysis by product line to identify low-margin items for phase-out or price adjustment.
    • Evaluate the financial viability of proposed capital investments (e.g., new machinery).
    • Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory requirements, including VAT, Corporate Tax.
    • Manage the departments internal control framework to prevent fraud and financial leakage.
    • Oversee Fixed Asset Management, ensuring all factory equipment is properly tagged, insured, and depreciated.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND

    • Bachelor’s degree/HND in Finance, Accounting, Economics.
    • Masters degree (MBA or MSc in Finance/Accounting) is an added advantage.
    • Certification in Association of chartered certified accountants (ACCA)
    • Strong academic background in corporate finance, investment, and strategic management.
    • At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or corporate strategy, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record in financial planning, risk management, capital raising, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Experience in managing large teams and complex financial operations.
    • Deep knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to engage with investors, boards, and regulators.
    • Proficiency in financial systems, ERP software, and data analytics tools.
    • Ability to balance risk management with growth opportunities.
    • Certification in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), is an added advantage.

    Our client is a manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State, seeking to hire a Financial Analyst to support the finance department and management through in-depth financial analysis, modelling, and reporting. The role involves analysing financial and operational data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions, improve profitability, and support strategic planning within a cable manufacturing environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyse monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to track performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Prepare variance analysis reports with explanations for management review.
    • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis for new projects or business initiatives.
    • Conduct detailed product line, customer segment, and project profitability analysis. Investigate cost drivers and work with the costing team to understand manufacturing variances.
    • Assist in preparing board packs, investor presentations, and monthly management reports, translating financial data into clear, insightful commentary.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategic Financial Planning & Capital Allocation

    • Evaluate expansion strategies
    • Determine the capital structure of the organization to fund operations while minimizing the cost of capital.
    • Appraising and approving large-scale Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for capacity and business expansion.

    Risk Management & Hedging

    • Leading the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, which is increasingly vital for manufacturing companies to secure green financing and maintain social licenses to operate.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND

    • Bachelor’s Degree: Finance, Accounting, , Economics, or Business Administration.
    • An MBA (with a finance focus) or a Master’s in Finance (MSF) is highly preferred.
    • Professional Certifications; ACCA, CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
    • 8 to 10 years in senior finance roles (e.g., Financial Controller, Finance Director, or Head of Finance).
    • Experience in cost accounting and plant operations is non-negotiable. You must understand how raw materials transform into finished goods and how that reflects on a balance sheet.
