    Waitress/Waiter

    Responsibilities
    Guest Service and Sales Excellence:

    • Order Taking: Greet guests promptly, present menus, and accurately take food and beverage orders, offering suggestions and upselling specials (e.g., premium drinks, promotional items).
    • Product Knowledge:Possess expert knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, preparation methods, ingredients (especially for allergens), and the beverage list (cocktails, wines, spirits).
    • Delivery: Serve food and drinks efficiently and elegantly, following established service standards and ensuring order accuracy. Check Management: Adhering to all cash handling procedures.
    • Customer Service Survey: Administering the customer service survey questionnaire to all guest to get feedback on our service Loyalty Program: Upsell to guests about the company\'s loyalty programs.

    Floor Operations and Maintenance:

    • Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, service stations, and bar perimeter throughout the shift.
    • Setup & Breakdown: Assist with the setup and closing procedures of the lounge/restaurant, including arranging furniture, cleaning service areas, and restocking supplies.
    • Coordination: Maintain clear and constant communication with the kitchen team and the bar team to ensure timely order flow and guest satisfaction.
    • Hygiene: Strictly adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a sanitary environment for both food service and guest areas.  

    Communication and Problem Solving:

    • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with fellow staff, supervisors, and managers to ensure seamless service and a positive work environment.
    • Issue Resolution: Immediately report any guest dissatisfaction, complaints, or operational issues (e.g., maintenance needs, inventory shortages) to the Shift Supervisor.
    • Attendance: Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance, adhering to the scheduled shift roster, which may include late nights and weekends typical of the Lagos lounge environment.

    Kitchen Assistant

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate must have proven experience with grilling, possess strong teamwork skills, and reside in Lekki or its immediate environs for easy commute.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the Head Cook/Chef.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and work areas.
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of food items in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
    • Support in receiving, unpacking, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
    • Assist in plating and garnishing meals for service.
    • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
    • Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant or similar role.
    • Strong grilling skills
    • Must reside in Lekki (applications from outside Lekki will not be considered).
    • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

    Job Duties

    • Dust all fixtures, fittings and any other surfaces within reach.
    • Sweep and wash/mop floor 
    • Dust picture frames and clean the picture glass.
    • Dust and polish all chairs, tables and all drinking shelves.
    • Wipe and polish the front of the bar.
    • Responsible for carrying out task quickly and competently.
    • Follow strict hygiene, health and safety rules.
    • Clearing dirty plate and silverware, responding to other customer needs.
    • Cleaning tables and maintaining cleanliness in all customer areas.
    • Be friendly, sociable and welcoming to customers and helpful to customers.
    • Ensure to have a clean and presentable appearance during working hours.
    • Assist with other areas of the restaurant as directed by the supervisors, shop manager (including but not limited to assisting with offloading from suppliers, assisting in purchasing items from nearby stores/ markets.
    • Maintain excellent time keeping and attendance.
    • Must be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment, prioritizing duties with the most important duty carried out first
    • Be quick and efficient in the discharge of duties to serve as many customers as possible.
    • Always adhere to all company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
    • Diligently carry out instructions given by the supervisors, shop manager and other superiors.
    • Communicate well with people of all levels.
    • Report any issue of concern to Shop Managers.
    • Always be a team player and use initiative where and when necessary.
