    Engineering Stores Clerk

    Location  Port Harcourt, Nigeria

    Job Description

    Overall Purpose of the Function

    An opportunity exists for highly skilled and result driven Engineering Stores Clerk in our Port Harcourt Plant reporting to the Engineering Stores Controller. The successful incumbent with excellent understanding of Microsoft excel will effectively control goods received and goods issued through proper store management practices to ensure optimal result in the Store.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Interact with suppliers daily to receive goods ordered
    • Interact with the buyer or Stores Controller on an ad hoc basis, to resolve any problems
    • Reviews on a regular basis, or at pre-determined intervals, stock control report
    • Ensure that all goods are stored in the correct location and in a safe manner
    • Review on a regular basis that all storage procedures are adhered to and that regular reviews are completed
    • Pay attention to people on the floor and notify management of any possible shoplifting activity

    Qualifications

    • Min- B.Sc./HND or its equivalent degree in a relevant area of study such as materials management, accounting, supply chain or stock management
    • 1 – 2 year Experience in similar role will be an added advantage

    Process Control Engineer

    Job Description

    Key Purpose Statement  

    An Opportunity exists for highly skilled and result driven Process Control Engineer in our Gateway Plant. The successful incumbent will Manage, Design, co-ordinate and implement the installations of new process control systems within Brewing, Utilities and Packaging. Ensure sustainable integrity and stability of the Control and Automation infrastructure and proactively recommend best practices within the Control and Automation Arena. Support and develop staff. Support the achievement of the Company’s strategic goals and manufacturing goals Keeping abreast with technology in the control and automation space 

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

    • Provide insight and feedback on how processes are controlled to area Support plant process optimization in terms of Quality, Cost and Speed improvements     
    • To support regions with process optimization efforts in terms of improving quality, cost and speed of brewery processes managers and process engineers so that optimization proposals can be engineered.  
    • Support the change control process at the brewery to ensure that approved changes are made in accordance with approved procedures and vendor recommendations to the control and automation system as specified by area managers and process engineers.  
    • Follow-up on the effectiveness and sustainability of changes made 
    • To ensure and maintain control and automation systems uptime by continuously assessing and mitigating risks, resolving breakdowns and instituting sustainable prevention measures  
    • Conducting C&A risk assessments and recommending mitigation as per the site risk assessment process.  
    • Executing mitigation efforts in reduction of the risks identified  
    • Attending to and resolving C&A breakdowns both during and after office hours either remotely or by coming to site.  
    • Conducting after action reviews to engineer, design and execute sustainable preventative measures Support regions with C&A project implementation and ensure that they adhere to the C&A standards within the project.    
    • To support regions with control and automation project implementations by ensuring correct control and automation standards are followed and advising on technologies where applicable  
    • Provide input to the Business Case by reviewing business cases and making recommendations to the regions.  
    • Assist with technology selection by providing regions with insight into new technologies and making recommendations around these  
    • Provide regions with advice of technology implementation during technologies.  
    • Provide regions with Divisional Standards where they exist or assist regions in developing new standards in conjunction with the regions. design and commissioning of projects. Support regions with problems experienced in the Control and Automation layer that has been escalated to BIS

    Packaging Training Controller

    Location  Ilesa, Nigeria

    Job Description

    Overall Purpose of the Function

    Career opportunity exists for a highly skilled and result driven Training Controller, Packaging in Ilesha Plant reporting to the Packaging Manager. The incumbent will provide a specialized and effective training and development service & solution to the Packaging team, focusing on skills acquisition and performance.

    Key roles and responsibilities 

    • Get relevant input for training buckets, this is taking from Team room discussions, ITF, Annual training Plan and all other problem-solving discussion i.e. 5Why's, abnormality reports, walk about
    • Collaborate with People Manager and Training Specialist regarding activities on site
    • Engage with L&D Specialist regarding suitable solutions where the training solution does not exist/not part of the Annual Training Calendar
    • Consolidate departmental training needs by reviewing L&D inputs e.g. PDP as input to the annual LNA / budgeting process Prepare for training
    • Coordinate the logistics of the required training and ensure relevant presenters & candidates are present and available
    • Request Purchase Order requests from the NOCC L&D Services team for external training as per the signed off LNA
    • Obtain approval from Zone L&D Specialist for costs not included in the LNA
    • Implement the 8 step SOP process
    • (Execution of the SOP’s are relevant and effective, use the as training aid), track and check whether people are people being trained against SOP, identify gaps in SOP and ensure Line Manager updates the SOP document)
    • Draw on the expertise of SME's to run learning programmes
    • Ensure all training completed is captured in Training Bucket and registers are completed
    • Ensure all training registers and events are recorded via NOCC L&D Services
    • Adapt training programme to meet the needs of the team / plant / audience i.e. run 2 day programme over a two week period with short intervals
    • Conducts a quality assurance of Visual Boards by engaging with Line Managers / HOD's Evaluate the effectiveness of training and develop ROI report
    • Complete the Level 1 evaluations for formal classroom training, analyse the results and develop actions that will improve training effectiveness Monitor and Support SKAP
    • Assist Line Manager to develop annual SKAP plan for teams
    • Monitor weekly / monthly adherence to plan
    • Support Line Manager to schedule formative and summative assessments
    • Identify SME Assessors and ensure an adequate pool of assessors in the plant
    • Administration of CAP Management system by ensuring information is accurate (Line Manager captures the assessment result, TC quality assures) Identify Training Solutions for future Pipeline
    • Trainees: Conduct monthly check in with trainee to identify opportunities for trainee to attend training as per the planned training bucket
    • (Line Manager responsible to report on progress, driving the trainee programme progress)
    • Apprentices: Ensure Apprentice training solutions are included in the training bucket, identify opportunities for apprentice to attend training as per the planned training bucket
    • Coordinate of the Learnership Programme
    • Ensure the relevant KPI's are reported against weekly and monthly routines
    •  Communicate and share with relevant stakeholders on site

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc/HND in Engineering or related discipline
    • 3-5 years in a packaging environment
    • Knowledge of Performance management, L&D and SKAP practices including the evaluation of training
    • Deep technical knowledge
    • Knowledge of VPO principles
    • Proven training and facilitation skills
    • Proactive, independent and high initiative
    • Attention to detail
    • Methodical record keeper
    • Ability to work effectively in teams
