    Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Supervisor

    About the Role

    • Medbury Healthcare Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven QHSE Supervisor to ensure full compliance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and accreditation standards across our operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), internal audits, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure company-wide compliance with internal control, audit methodology, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
    • Implement, monitor, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet accreditation, client, internal, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct periodic internal audits according to the annual audit plan and prepare detailed audit reports.
    • Manage accreditation-related documentation, updates, and compliance activities.
    • Evaluate vendor quality systems and ensure alignment with accreditation standards.
    • Supervise, coach, and develop junior staff members.
    • Oversee calibration and inspection of monitoring and measuring devices.
    • Conduct process audits to ensure continued compliance and effectiveness of controls.
    • Lead quality assurance activities, including error reduction and process improvement initiatives.
    • Manage risk testing, internal control reviews, policy updates, and fraud prevention frameworks.
    • Support external audits and accreditation inspections.
    • Maintain SOPs, Quality Manuals, accreditation documentation, and client safety procedures.
    • Drive quality improvement programs and client/patient safety initiatives.
    • Conduct facility rounds to ensure compliance with QHSE and accreditation standards.
    • Coordinate QHSE-related training sessions across departments.
    • Track, monitor, and report KPIs on QMS performance, audits, risks, and accreditation compliance.
    • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all operations.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Quarterly systems and process audits
    • Sustained QMS Certification
    • Accreditation compliance and zero major non-conformities
    • Error rate reduction by 50%
    • Bi-annual branch audits
    • Monthly QMS performance reports
    • Monthly risks and opportunities reports
    • Quarterly management reviews

    Requirements

    Education & Certifications

    • Minimum B.Sc. in Business Administration, Accounting, Medical Sciences, or related field.
    • ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor certification (minimum 3 years’ experience required).
    • Additional exposure to accreditation frameworks (e.g., COHSASA, ISO standards, or other healthcare accreditations) is an added advantage.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years in a quality assurance, compliance, audit, or QHSE role.
    • Experience working with accreditation bodies or maintaining accreditation status is highly desirable.

    Competencies & Skills

    • Strong understanding of accreditation processes, standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Experience in process improvement, internal control, and QHSE compliance.
    • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
    • Leadership and team supervision capabilities.
    • Excellent analytical, report-writing, and documentation skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of integrity, accountability, and dependability.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
