    Trade Marketing Manager

    Job Purpose

    • Coordinate efficient execution of all BTL activities as well as manage deployment and maintenance of POS and Merchandising materials in assigned Region(s). 
    • Provide activation and merchandising solutions by channel, category and customer including the development of POP materials.

    Responsible to: Head of trade marketing

    Context/Scope

    • A key contributor to the success of the PZ Cussons commercial strategic plan with an effective and flexible field sales force; demonstrating industry leadership in both volume driving & brand building activity.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage trade spend efficiently to drive brand strategies and ‘‘win at the shelf"
    • Develop the annual trading plan by brand/channel/customer and monitor/adjust the plan based on financial delivery and Customer compliance
    • Contribute consumer insights to inform the market and regional view
    • Provide Merchandising and POP solutions by channel, category and customer and evaluate their effectiveness at the respective channels in assigned Region (s).
    • Identify opportunities to enhance and leverage ATL campaigns with customers, linking in – store activities to ATL advertising & seeking to enhance PR impact
    • Evaluate trade spend ROI
    • Manage and ensure the deployment, installation, compliance and maintenance of  merchandising and point of sale materials in assigned Region(s).

    Measurement/Performance Indicators: 

    • Brilliant execution of all activation activities and in line with agreed objectives
    • Effective POP deployment
    • Target vs. Actual performance (KPIs)
    • Availability of pre and post evaluation of all activation activities.

    Qualification

    • First Degree in any discipline
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in marketing or sales
    • Demonstrable record of success in a customer or field sales management role
    • Understands customers and the selling process

    Commercial Business Analyst & RTM Transformation Lead

    Job Responsibilities

    Commercial Business Partnering:

    • Act as the primary business analyst supporting Commercial and Route-to-Market activities
    • Partners will be Commercial Heads, Trade Marketing Managers and Sales Ops team to understand business priorities and challenges.
    • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs
    • Facilitate workshops to identify opportunities for process optimization and digital enablement.
    • Ensure business requirements align with strategic commercial objectives.

    Commercial Technology & Platform Management:

    • Manage and support commercial technology solutions across the business
    • Key solution areas will include; Route-to-market platforms like Sales Force Automation (SFA), Distributor Management Systems (DMS), Retail Execution Platforms, Territory Management Solutions and Retail and Commerce platforms
    • Responsibilities will include user support and stakeholder management, solution optimization, business process alignment, user acceptance testing and adoption monitoring.

    Route-to-Market Excellence:

    • Support the continuous improvement of Route-to-Market capabilities
    • Work closely with Commercial teams to improve; sales coverage effectiveness, Numeric and Weighted Distribution, In-Store execution,
    • Analyze commercial processes and identify opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies, increase field productivity, data quality and improve decision-making speed.
    • Support the development of RTM operating models and capability roadmaps.
    • And any other task assigned.

    Business Analysis & Requirements Management:

    • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for commercial initiatives. Gap analysis, business case development, process design, change impact assessment
    • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Process Flow Diagrams and Training Documentation

    Data, Analytics & Insights:

    • Support commercial data and analytics initiatives
    • Work with Data & Analytics teams to define reporting requirements, Build KPI frameworks, improve commercial visibility, enable data-driven decision making
    • Support dashboards and reporting across Sales, RTM and Customer Service.

    Project & Change Management:

    • Support delivery of commercial transformation projects, including project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, testing coordination, change management and deployment support.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and within successful business adoption
    • Track and report business benefits realization.

    Qualifications

    • Graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a technology and Business-related fields.
    • Experience in data analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). And ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.
    • Minimum of 6 – 8 years relevant experience in Commercial Business Analysis, Sales Operations, Route-to-Market management, Business Transformation, Commercial Technology Solutions, Consumer Goods / FMCG environment
    • Knowledge: (What does the person need to know)
    • Demonstrated ability to function as a technology business partner and effectively translate business needs into technical solutions.
    • Excellent communication & stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with agile or hybrid project management methodologies is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of field sales operations and retail execution in the CPG context

    Tax Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare Withholding tax returns (Federal and All States) monthly all PZ entities/ SBUs in Nigeria by spooling monthly reports, verifying applicable rates, separating into applicable tax jurisdictions, reconciling WHT report against ledger balances and processing payments with 7 days deadline.
    • Review withholding tax reports for PZ entities/ SBU in Nigeria
    • Spool monthly VAT reports, ledgers for all entities and Prepare monthly VAT reports for PZ SBUs in Nigeria
    • Process payments for all monthly taxes, final demand notice liabilities and every other undisputed tax liability
    • Prepare initial draft responses to demand notices, queries and other correspondence from the FIRS and state boards.
    • File VAT Returns for all entities with the FIRS on or before 21st of every month
    • Apply for and Obtain Tax clearance certificates for all seven (7) entities every year
    • Receive and record all correspondence from tax authorities
    • Maintain correspondence tracker to ensure responses are filed within the stipulated timeline.
    • First level review of PZ Kenya /PZ Ghana tax computations and provide support on other Kenya/Ghana tax issues like tax audits, refund claims etc.
    • Prepare trend analysis, decks and forecasts for tax planning & Budgeting
    • WHT credit note verification on B2B Customer purchases
    • Process payments for all monthly taxes, final demand notice liabilities and every other undisputed tax liability
    • Prepare initial draft responses to demand notices, queries and other correspondence from the FIRS and state boards.
    • File VAT Returns for all entities with the FIRS on or before 21st of every month
    • Apply for and Obtain Tax clearance certificates for all seven (7) entities every year
    • Receive and record all correspondence from tax authorities
    • Maintain correspondence tracker to ensure responses are filed within the stipulated timelines.

    Qualifications

    • B.Sc. (Accounting)
    • ICAN/ACCA/CITN Certification
    • Computer expertise especially in MS Word, MS Excel.

    Technical/Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience preferably within an FMCG or multinational environment.
    • knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations, including Companies Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE, Transfer Pricing, and other statutory compliance requirements.
    • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax accounting processes.
    • Proficiency in the use of SAP accounting software for tax reporting, reconciliations, ledger reviews, financial analysis, and compliance monitoring.
