    Klasha was founded in 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria by a team of ex-Amazon, Shopify, Net-a-Porter and ASOS employees. It was founded to make consumer goods online more accessible to customers across Africa.     Marketing Lead

    About the role

    As a custodian of all things marketing, we'd love for you to build a world-class function to uniquely position Klasha. This role would suit a high-performing full-stack marketeer, (with a particular spike in growth) capable of working as an individual contributor while nurturing a small team. 

    We're a Seed-stage startup, so ideally you'd be comfortable wearing multiple hats. We're learning quickly, shipping regularly, and working cross-functionally to build the future of commerce in Africa. You'll join a mission-led team that cares deeply about connecting Africa with the global economy. 

    Job Description

    • Own and deliver our Marketing roadmap
    • Craft our brand voice to ensure we communicate effectively with our customers and partners 
    • Be at the forefront of our customer acquisition model, obsessed with all things growth marketing 
    • Working with the senior management team on positioning Klasha and our offerings and delivering content to enable sales
    • Devise our marketing playbook 
    • Liaise with Talent to create a compelling employer brand 
    • Manage our agency usage and your partnership engagements 
    • Understand and execute against the local cadence 
    • Set, monitor, and report on team goals and KPIs
    • Automate and refine internal processes 
    • Organise and lead departmental comms
    • Analyse consumer behaviour and determine customer personas
    • Conduct market analysis to understand our position in an ever-changing environment

    Requirements

    • Based in the EU remotely, Lagos or Cape Town 
    • 5+ years of proven experience leading a Marketing function, preferably in the fintech or adjacent domains 
    • A true generalist with a growth mindset, able to lead an omnichannel marketing function 
    • Adept in demand generation 
    • Automation savvy, with proficiency in analytics and wider tooling. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to identify and defend data-driven recommendations. 
    • A charismatic relationship builder, able to win the trust of external and internal partners alike 
    • High level of determination and tenacity.

    Field Sales Executive

    About the role

    Klasha is in need of a Field Sales Executive to increase sales for a period of six (4) months. During this period, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. The Field Sales Executive will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilise those markets to expand revenue.

    Responsibilities 

    • Generating sales reports each week and submitting them to management.
    • Utilise all available resources to reach out to prospective clients and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
    • Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in Nigeria.
    • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients.
    • Door-to-door sales in specific target market-clusters and facilitating onboarding for merchants in  selected hubs.
    • Update clients’ information in the company’s contact database.
    • Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience as a sales agent, field sales and B2B sales.
    • Currently serving/Awaiting NYSC candidates would be more preferred.
    • Possess self motivation and is comfortable with working under minimal supervision.
    • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Possess familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
    • Possess knowledge or experience within the fintech industry or related role.

    Senior Product Manager (Mobile)

    About the role

    Klasha is searching for a qualified solid senior product manager or Head of Product skillset with a focus on mobile. You will work alongside our designers, to shape our product and how people interact with it. You will build impactful products based on your understanding of value for our users. You will work closely with an INSEAD lecturer as CPO and learn from him. We are small yet big enough for you to be able to experiment across many aspects of our startup. You will learn by doing, amongst a team of peers that loves what they do.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyse projections and forecasts and come up with opportunities to move the metrics and influence strategy.
    • Run product discovery and continuously improve the product market fit of our app in one of the most dynamic Fintech ecosystems in the world.
    • The ability to work around existing external infrastructure bottlenecks and country outages is key. 
    • Analyse and leverage data across various signal sources to drive decision making ex: Posthog, UXcam, Appsflyer, Firebase, Google Analytics and others.
    • Understanding app release trajectories and how to leverage them to continuously achieve double-digit growth on a monthly basis.
    • Be very comfortable running user research, prototyping, and other product discovery work to build the right product for our users. Our potential customer base in Nigeria boasts a huge variance in terms of user needs, behaviors, and characteristics.
    • Assist in growth initiatives alongside our marketing, content, and engineering teams. 
    • Drive product launches including working with the marketing team and other product management team members.
    • Keep up to date on iOS and Android capabilities that can be leveraged for our mobile experiences and stay informed on OS releases. 
    • Understand your product’s P&L and drive it as you deem fit.
    • Deliver value and impact, regardless of tools and processes. PMs at Klasha are not a ticketing system for engineering but someone who owns their responsibilities and leads teams to solid outcomes.
    • Be a role model for other Product Managers on the team and coach them.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any business-related course, computer science, engineering, or equivalent preferred.
    • 5+ years of significant PM mobile experience in tech, ideally in a startup environment.
    • Have built and grown a successful Fintech mobile app before.
    • Some experience leading a product team 
    • Automation savvy, with proficiency in analytics and wider tooling. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to identify and defend data-driven recommendations. 
    • High level of determination and tenacity.
