    Business Development Manager

    A Tier-2 category Microfinance Bank Licensed by the CBN and operating in the South-West region of Nigeria requires the service of a dynamic result-oriented Business Developer with proven record of accomplishment, to serve as its Business Development Manager.

    Suitable candidate will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy, with the goal of driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

    The responsibilities of Business Development Manager will include the following.

    • Work with executives to implement marketing strategies, identify and actualize new opportunities.
    • Analyze current and past financial data and provide strategies to cut costs and increase revenue.
    • Lead the charge on market research plans to identify new markets and customer needs.
    • Promote the bank’s products/services while addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
    • Provide training and mentoring to other members of the team.
    • Carry out preliminary project appraisal, analyze situation, and evolve steps for business Improvement.
    • Develop and pitch ideas for business turnaround and attraction of potential investors.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies.
    • Monitor industry trends and market conditions, inspect and evaluate projects in relation to Plan.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
    • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
    • Any other activity as may be assigned by the MD/CEO.

    Job Requirement:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
    • Proven working experience as a business development Officer or Manager in relevant role in a Microfinance or Financial Institution
    • Strong initiative, change dynamism, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience managing budgets and reviewing financial and operational outcomes.
    • Market knowledge and Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
