Duties

• Under the supervision of the DEA Attaché, the position will serve as an additional investigator to DEA investigators. The incumbent will serve as a liaison with all levels of authorities in the Government of Nigeria, other law enforcement and prosecuting authorities; as well as other DEA domestic and foreign offices.   

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the fields of investigation, criminal justice, forensics, social sciences or humanities is required.   
• Job Knowledge: Expertise in all of the following: Nigerian government documentation/procedures, criminal law/procedure code, Narcotic investigation, methods of obtaining evidence within Nigerian Law is required.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in the fields of Law, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Forensics, Social Sciences or Humanities is required.

Evaluations:

• These may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.
• Language: Advanced level in speaking/writing/reading English is required. Advanced level in Speaking any of the three major languages is required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to develop/maintain and liaise with law enforcement and political contacts; be able to execute initiatives and investigative duties, report writing is required. Interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Basic math skills is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license

Duties

• The Investigative Assistant (IA) assists in an array of sensitive and complex criminal investigations related to document fraud, human smuggling, trafficking in persons and other criminal issues as directed by the Assistant Regional Security Office-Investigator (ARSO-I).  
• The job holder provide investigative, analytical, and administrative support in the operation of Diplomatic Security (DS), Overseas Criminal Investigation (OCI) Program at Post.
• The job holder updates the ongoing investigations database in Department of State (DOS) computer systems, and controls access of sensitive information.  The IA must be able to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Education Requirements:

• Two years of general college or university study is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years of administrative, investigative analysis, legal, or law enforcement-related experience is required.

Summary - The work schedule for this position is:

• Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

• Under the Supervision of the Cultural Affairs Officer (CAO), the incumbent serves as Public Affairs Section (PAS) Abuja's Program Control Locally Employed Staff (LE Staff) and liaison with U.S. Government-Nigeria Alumni Associations, especially in northern Nigeria (regions covered by PAS Abuja).  
• S/he is also the principal point of contact and coordinator for post programming connected with certain Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA)-related initiatives. Plans and leads PAS Abuja special outreach programs targeting youth, women, interfaith leaders, and conflict resolution activists.
• Incumbent will serve as both an advisor and counselor to Nigeria exchange grantees and public affair / diplomacy staff members in all matters related to alumni outreach programs, alumni grant possibilities and proposals, target of opportunity projects and exchanges.

Requirements

• Education: University degree in Communication, English and Literature Studies, International Studies and/or Education is required.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in progressively responsible people-to-people program outreach and program/project administration; work and involvement in cultural activities, public affairs, or teaching is highly required.
• Job Knowledge: Working knowledge of Nigeria political, economic, social, and educational structure; institutions, political parties, and history is required.
